Had a phenomenal time with the owner and my son. He was patient with my son, the ride was peaceful, the scenery was beautiful, had me smiling the whole time. My son got over his fear quick and enjoyed it. Highly recommend it.

What a fun experience! How could you NOT give 5 stars to this business?!?!? Never ridden a horse before? Don't worry! It was my first time riding a horse but I already want to go back again! We were welcomed by a friendly owner of the business and his cute puppies. He explained us how to control a horse and we started slow. I was scared to death and was screaming like a little kid at first, but I got used to it after 10 minutes and had so much fun! My horse was very calm and easy to ride, while my friend's horse only wanted to drink water and eat grass haha We rode through beautiful pecan trees covered with snow. My husband was really excited saying "let's go back every week!" On our way home haha but I agree! It was super fun and if you've never done it yet, you need to go!!!!!

This was a very fund adventure! Josh was wonderful! And the horses were amazing. I can't think of a better way to spend a Saturday evening. I would definitely recommend wearing long pants or jeans due to the dust. But other than that it was amazing!

Josh and his Son Isaiah made this whole experience for us! They knew their craft and made us feel comfortable as well as confident. Isaiah is mature beyond his years and has a bright future in the industry. Our horses were well kept, friendly and followed direction very well. A great experience for new riders. The trail through the Pecan trees with the mountains in the background at dusk was amazing! My family and I had a great time and met some great people at El Paso Trail Rides! Thank you Josh and Isaiah, we'll be back!!

We had an awesome time riding with Josh on our visit to El Paso! Their dogs and horses are so friendly just like their owner! It was a great way to see and learn about the El Paso area (it's really New Mexico)! Great experience and memories!

I haven't ridden horses since my early teens, my family owned horses, and I loved it. Now I'm 33, and I've traveled the world, but there's one thing that i will never stop loving; riding horses. I finally satisfied that urge today at El Paso Trail Rides. This experience was awesome, just what I needed. Located right outside El Paso in Anthony, this place is super easy to find. Took about 30 min flat FROM Ft Bliss. Cruise down I-10W, get off at exit 8. Make a left onto Artcraft at the light. Continue on for about 5-10 minutes, bust a right on McNutt. After that it's about 2-3 min and you'll see a sign that says El Paso Trail Rides turn here. It's right on the right. Pull up the short dirt driveway and you'll be greeted by a awesome guy and even awesomer friendly little ranch dogs. They are ready to go on a ride / walk more than you lol. Cute guys. Now I've ridden ALOT before so just like a bike, muscle memory had me right back in the saddle with ease and having a wonderful time. Zero issues. Trotted her a little, galloped her a little, but mostly a brisk walk. Was amazing. Now then, experience is NOT needed. The group that had been before us was just leaving... They had a 7yr old girl that rode without issue. Furthermore, my wife and her friend (they are both from the TINY, tropical, horse free island of Okinawa) had never even been on a horse before... Not a problem. They rode these majestic beasts without issue or cause for concern and had a great time. Such a cool experience to be able to share with them. When we all finally go back to the island, they can always say, like a real cowboy, they rode horses in Texas/New Mexico just like the stories they've heard lol. What a cool memory. But FYI; that memory will repeat itself for me and my wife as we are stationed here and WILL BE BACK, more than once... Bet $$$ on that. Speaking of $$$: it's very affordable (IMO). He charges $35 per person for a 1hr ride. And if you're not a avid rider, 1hr is enough. But for a little more you can get a faster 2hr ride (which is for sure what I'm doing next time, but that's just me). He told me he'd prefer no groups smaller than 3 (and I assume it's because it's a whole "thing" for him to take these horses out and 2 people would be ehhh, but he didn't say NO groups of 2.. Just preferred 3+. So call ahead and ask). He also can accommodate groups up to 10! So take your friends and your friends friends. He mentioned that you can get a military discount (if your military of course), for a group of 5 or more. Sounds like a deal to me. But honestly, I hope he'll back down from the group of 3... Because this is the kinda place I wanna come ride even by myself lol. Seriously, I'd go alone, it's that much fun and the guide is that cool that it'd still be a great time. He comes from a military family and his family comes from the same area as me too (The Bay), so it was cool talking stories with him. Hands down, this was the coolest thing I've done in El Paso, and I'd recommend it 10/10 times. Seriously. I'm not kidding, I'm going back, not once, not twice, but some kinda large number. When all said and done, it's not MUCH more than movies and dinner these days (I don't eat fast food)... Matter of fact, might be less!? And definitely way more fun. I can download a movie (illegally) for free... But I can never truly capture the live experience of riding a beautiful horse on the backdrop of the snow capped Franklin Mountains with 3 cute dogs following along on the trail. Damn dude... I wish I was born in the 1800s. I mean, I'd mob with Billy The Kid, cuz I'm from the hood... But I'd low key just take in the breathtaking scenery and appreciate the horse beneath me. It's something I wish everyone could see. So go... Call now. Book it. Get it. Take your kids, brothers, sisters, wives and husbands! Parents and friends and cousins too... Just go! It's worth it's seriously. Das It Mayne
