We have 3 utility poles on our property one looks like it will keel over, any minute. I asked to have it inspected, they gave me multiple excuses then they said they did inspect it and it was fine. Well if it falls on my home I have my documentation. And the day after I called them my electric went off for one hour.First time in years.

I loathe the fact that we do not have a choice of choosing our electric company! This a monopolized industry with money hungry owners. On top of that there isnt anyone to complain too because the employees are too dumb to even get your bill right. Then when you do want to pay your bill, don't forget to make an extra pit stop to the bank for cash because even though they make ALLLLL that money from you they still don't take debit cards. Or if you wanna call to make a payment it's an extra $2.35 to avoid the stupid lines. The ladies that work there are so inconvenient and most of them do not have customer service skills.

The most stupid employees in the US! Turned over to collection for bill for property that was sold 5 years ago. Signed paperwork twice but the idiots at El Paso Electric can't keep track of their paperwork or even know how to do their jobs!

Let me start by saying I've been waiting for El Paso Electric to send me a bill with my name on it for going on 3 months. I need it for proof of residency so I can get insurance on my car and actually use my car. We've gone in in person to add me along with my husbands name and figured that was all we needed to do since they said that that was all we needed to do.The bill arrives and I'm still not on it. I called the last two times this happened and they explained I would defiantly be on the next bill. This time I skip the call.My husband goes in in person since I have a fever and am sick. He gets told by some lady who works there that I came in in person at the other office yesterday and DEMANDED I be taken off the bill... Wtf. First of all, I was sick yesterday and in bed all day.Secondly, I CAN'T DRIVE so did I fly to the FARTHEST location from my house? El Paso Electric is one of the WORST staffed and run businesses I've EVER come in contact with. It's like they hire pathological liars who enjoy making life difficult.

I couldn't be much more disappointed with this company. I've had customer service barely read (maybe they barely CAN read?) a question or two I've sent, because the response didn't address my question/problem at all.Even bigger, I signed up for their 'Time of Use' program where you get a lower rate if you help reduce demand during peak hours in June-Sept, and they still haven't incorporated that into my statement/bill THREE MONTHS into the period. So I helped reduce their demand, but haven't saved a cent.

El Paso Electric has the worst customer service and, even worse, has no plan to fix it! It makes me sick to my stomach to think they are getting our money! Is there anyway for customers to demand and get change from them? Maybe if we go to the Better Business Bureau...Town Meeting...City Hall? I'm at a loss for words! Help!

El Paso electric should be investigated for price gouging and fraud! They increased rates by 89% in one year! They will try to sell you on their budget billing plan and then increase that monthly bill to more than your highest bill prior, and then charge an enormous fee to get out of it! I know they're a monopoly in El Paso, but call your representatives to have them investigated.

El Paso Electric does in fact have the most aggravating staff and they all are quick to tell you what YOU need to do even though they fail to accomplish the simplest tasks! My husband is deployed and I came back home to GA. I set up our apartment in January so everything will be squared away by April and while I was getting things set up , my husband signs up for electricity for us. So now I need to have an account number stating we switched the electricty in our name so the apartment agents can finish the rental agreement. I call EPE and the lady tells me that I am not on the account and I will need POA. That's understandable. I send a POA directed to her, ask her to add my name on the account, and attach my current address in order for my bills to come here. She calls me back and tells me she received the POA and gives me the account number. Two weeks later, I call back trying to find out if any bills are generated so I can get a biller zip code and sign up for e-bills. The rep I talked to had the worst attitude and was asking me why I was calling and not my husband. She went ranting that it was my husbands account and that it is his responsibility to get this information because I am not on the account. Before I could explain that I sent in a POA and that the previous rep was supposed to handle that, she was saying she can't help me and that I would need to get my husband to call back and add me to the account. I finally got a chance to explain to her that my husband is deployed and that I have POA and she asked me to send her the information. I send her the information and also my current address to forward bills. She told me that once she gets the information she will add my name and change my address. She also said that there was no bill generated so having a biller zip code would not work right now anyways. She did give me a zip code to try later (which didnt work, lol) So here we are, two more weeks later, and I am calling back to see if my address was changed. The rep apologized for the inconvenience and changed me address. Oops, I forgot to get the biller zip code for e-bill and the amount due and when. I call back and a rep tells me that I am not on the account so I cannot get the information requested. She then tells me the previous rep changed information and was not supposed to because they lack documentation. I explained that this would be the third time having to send a POA and she told me to just send it to the rep I was supposed to send it to the previous time. Really? How do I even know she still works there? So I exhale extremely loud on the phone and she is like well ma'am are you the account holders wife? I told her yes, I am his wife and asked if I can just send her the POA AGAIN. She then explains there is no need because an account holders spouse automatically has access to information. -_- She then gave me balance, date due (thank god not past due!!), and then tells me the biller zip code. I ask if I can pay the bill with her and she says she is no equipped to take payments and to call the bill matrix. I told her that's fine I will sign up for e-bill since I have time. The biller zip code is INCORRECT. And just my luck, to do bill matrix, I need the biller zip code...I give up!
