El Paso Drafthouse 2.0

This experience was OK/alright. I've read reviews on the eastside location and they aren't good. Let's start with the good first. I enjoyed the atmosphere and look of the place a lot. It was pretty chill which I liked. The place was also really clean. The waitress we had was nice and friendly. She checked on how we were doing a couple of times. She did disappear for some time but eventually came and checked on us. I liked her personality and the service she gave us. They also have a pretty good menu of beer and a signature drink menu. Some of the drinks are named after El Paso landmarks...for example a Scenic Drive. Now for the not so good...Unfortunately, I didn't see any of the employees wearing masks. I didn't like that too much. There was a sign on the door that asked for patrons to wear masks upon entering. I ordered a margarita flight. Sad to say...I didn't really enjoy it. The drinks were overly sweet. I like sweet drinks but this was too much. I didn't taste any tequila in them whatsoever. I don't like margaritas to be too strong either. I want to be able to taste the mix and tequila together. There has to be a balance of both. I had to ask the waitress to bring me a couple of shots of Hornitos. It still wasn't enough! I could still taste the sweetness in them. I didn't even get a little bit buzzed and...I've sort of become a lightweight drinker these days!We ordered a pretzel and wings. The pretzel came with cheese and mustard. The wings came with French fries. Both entrees were too salty. I couldn't eat too much of either. One minor detail was the music they were playing. I kid you not...one minute they were playing heavy metal music like Pantera. The next song they played after that was "My Heart will go on" from "Titanic" and Celine Dion. "The Thong Song" was playing a bit prior to this. Really?? I had a little flashback of partying it up in Juarez for a few minutes there back in the late 90s, early 2000s. If you know you know...If you're from El Paso, you definitely know. Lol.I realize they just opened this second location a couple of weeks ago. Perhaps there are still some kinks to work out. We all know this usually happens when a bar/restaurant first opens. Would I come back? I might. I often believe in giving second chances. I'm interested in trying that Scenic Drive mixed drink. Plus, they're around five minutes away from the house. This cost a little over $50. I'll update the review if I have to and if I decide to come back. It's located where a pizzeria once was.

Came in for a beer and stayed for the chicken fried steak... OMG no regrets! Everything is homemade and delicious. Would absolutely recommend the fries with the queso dip!

This place was the right spot at the right time to curve my hunger and thirst! The service was prompt and polite! I ordered a Shiner Bock and the "Big Ass Pretzel!" The pretzel was spot on! It seemed to be the perfect blend of chili con queso, pretzel and beer! The pretzel also came with a side of mustard that was just a little too powerful for my tastes but was a nice reprieve from the queso in between sips of beer! The atmosphere was calm and cool; a nice escape from the hot sun. The two giant LED television screens are easy on the eyes to watch; I can see myself coming here for future UFC fights and sporting events. I didn't have my glasses but the picture still seemed sharp, which is awesome! I think the Westside should show this place love! It is done right! Nice, cool and inviting atmosphere to chill and partake in a brew or two!

It looked like it was not too busy on a Sunday night so we decided to give it a try although knowing it might be mediocre. They were out of some beers and the beers we had were a bit old but I guess that is what happens when you order craft at a place like this. The service was ok, the girl was friendly but took some time to take care of us (even though there were only 3 couples at the bar. The garnishes we were given were old, not sure how old but definitely one or two days at least. The place is big and loud but it is expected. However, the parts that will not have us coming back are:The imposed 20% gratuity (we were only two of us) and the Service Fee for paying with a credit card. The former being a very shitty thing to do as tips are voluntary, yes some people can be assholes and bad tippers but don't make us pay for it and impose it., maybe be like a normalJoint and impose it on large parties of people and make sure the customers know about it. And the latter, if you want to accept credit cards and want the customer to pay for the "benefit" of taking them, then at least inform us of such before pulling it out of our wallet, accept only ca$h OR have the product absorb the cost of it like any other regular place. After this, never again. Aside from learning there was a shooting in the parking lot not long ago, fuck that!!!

Chill bar. The atmosphere was pretty good but the music was kind of dead. I camped it up with TouchTunes though and it was all good after the music change. The bartender Yaya was friendly and attentive to when we needed drinks.

One of the coldest Dos XX I've had in months. Leslie took our order and the consistency of the tenders checking on us was great! Restrooms were super clean and the pizza hit the spot just right. 10/10 will come again

Stopped for a drink after the UTEP game. Got two flat tall Dallas Blonds for $24. Won't be returning.

The bartender was AMAZING! Robert really was helpful and fast! Definitely recommend come check him out!

This is a great place to chill and enjoy a drink with somefriends. It was relaxing the bartender Corey was amazing even though he was out of some of his indigents for the drinks on the menu he whipped up a cherry lime that was soooo good! Thanks Corey you rock!!!!

Waited over 20mins for beverages and was ignored. would not recommend at all.
