I went to Comic Con Friday night. I had no idea what to expect. The turnout was pretty good. A lot of vendors drove in sharing their products ranging from shirts, comic books, memorabilia, a copy of the A Team van, the Mystery Machine from Scooby Doo, and a Batmobile from the 1960s television show.Don't try to bring drinks in. You'll be asked to leave drinks, water bottles, etc, with the security guards that scan you before you walk in. I guess a security guard got a free water bottle from me. A lot of the items sold are usually created by the vendors so you may see some good artwork. I bought the Punisher shirt since I didn't have any comic related gear.

So this is a medium-sized con with a small town feel. It's actually a really good start if you've never been to a comic convention. There's nothing here overwhelming and yet there's still enough here to interest you. I personally had a really great time even though I only came Sat morning. The cosplay is still really impressive. I was really amazed at the costumes that people made and came in. I'd come back regularly.

The El Paso Comic Con won't blow you away or grab headlines anywhere outside the region, but it does capture the very essence of what a Comic Book Convention is: getting nerds like me to pay for the opportunity to go buy things inside, ogle chicks dressed up like Harley Quinn, and maybe take a picture or two of/with something or someone famous and/or cool. 2016 was the first EP Comic Con I attended, I had heard mixed reviews of previous years, and did not like paying $28 to get in (that's on me for lack of planning), but I had an alright time.I did not want to spend any money, but my will was broken at the sight of the very first BB-8 print, and I ended up buying a bunch of stuff, but who cares because BB-8 fucking rules! They brought Adam West, which is respectable, though I missed out on seeing Batman, I did see the Batmobile. I also got to see Kevin Eastman, co-creator of TMNT, and I thanked him for a big part of my childhood.I wish there had been more artists and vendors from outside the Southwest region, but it was nice seeing so many local-ish artists that I would have not otherwise met. Additionally I had the opportunity to learn about and contribute to a couple of local chapters of comicbook-inspired charitable organizations. I was hesitant to attend, but I don't regret doing so, and I'm hoping to see it be bigger and better next year, reach for my 2 extra stars El Paso Comic Con, Excelsior!

This review is of El Paso comic con 2024.There's kids at this event, there really shouldn't be women dressing up like a literal "woman in the corner selling herself".". Not all women who cosplay do that of course but there are some that do, you see it and it's clear like come on, showing the in a thong with a short skirt showing everything on purpose for example. There was this one specific woman dressed as Naruto showing her full short skirt to the waist basically showingall the , I thought this was a comiccon, not a stip club. If there is so called security at the convention and at the entrances (who didn't do a good job in correctly directing people where to go in lines and being security overall), they need to do a clothing guidelines restriction because there's kids to this event. Also like 1 or 2 sellers selling all this art and stuff of basically henta! (anime p @ r n ). It's ridiculous, that's not appropriate at all for the kids.
