El Charro Mexican Grill

I've eaten their food a couple times now, and it was great both times. On our last visit, we got menudo and pozole. My wife commented the pozole was packed with pork! My menudo was very good as well. In addition to the usual chips and salsa, they also give you a little cup of Queso which was nice. We finished with a churro donut which was a steal at $0.99!

First off, the address is wrong, it's 1160 El Paseo Rd. We were there on a Saturday nite at 6:30, it was completely empty. (Place recommended by the staff at Hilton garden inn). Started with chips and salsa as well as a white cheese sauce, think queso dip. It's new and they're introducing it and it's soooo good. I had the 4 tacos and could only eat 2. My hubby had the enchiladas with the white cheese sauce. Very good. Too full for dessert. Service was great and would highly recommend. There's definitely a lot better in town for less money. The al pastor was mediocre, the asada and tripitas tacos weren't really seasoned very well, the cheesy smothered french fries were soggy and undercooked and the salsa was pretty much just tomato juice and onions. My wife got the hamburger and it was pretty good but I personally don't go to Mexican restaurants for hamburgers. I tried Paco's Tacos the other day and they blew this place away and didn't cost nearly as much. I would not recommend El Charro at all.

Terribly terrible food (place...), owner definitely needs to check (food) meat (ribeye's) ordered 2 of these plates pretty much left all the plate on food, hope someone in the kitchen realized this and thought about why it was all left. Definitely will not be returning. Waitress should be trained to make sure customers are satisfied with food b4 bringing out the bill and how to correct the satisfaction b4 collecting payment! Sorry not sorry. Made us sick!
