El Camino Real

Something led me off the interstate to find this small trendy Mexican restaurant. Although it only had about 12 tables the place was packed and continued to turn over tables throughout my meal. There was a handful of Mexican women in the kitchen and definitely brought me back to the memory of all the fresh food in Mexico at all the cantinas and taco stands. That's when you know you are in the right place. I had read the burger was great, as many Mexican restaurants have a great burger. I would think due to their well seasoned grill. I had the supreme burger with jalapjalapeños and avocado. It was superb. Moderately thin patty packed with a smoky flavor and a great crust. The smashed jalapeno and avocados were fresh and made the whole thing pop. I can't say enough about the friendly service and atmosphere. Everyone was in such a good mood that you could feel it when you walked in the door.

What an amazing place to stop on our way through Deming! Service was precise and personable. The energy in the dining room was exciting, too bad we couldn't stay this time. Our burritos were well done, hot and delicious. Excellent tortillas, too!We'd give El Camino Real a ten if we could!

Good food, friendly server, quick service. Favorites ~ green chile & chile relleno If I lived in the area, this would be a favorite stop. I'm sure the breakfast dishes smothered in green chile are the bomb!

The complimentary chips and salsa here are delicous! The drinks comes in huge cups. I ordered a guacamole tostada which comes with beans and rice. The tostado was a bit flavorless though. Order something with meat. Prices are reasonable. The fried ice cream is huge. Didn't even eat the bowl.

Awesome staff and great homemade style Mexican food. I always look forward to stopping in here, best sopapillas !

Ok, Georgia boy visits NM Mexican restaurant and find out that home made red and green chili sauce is a bit more fiery than he is used to. That's not saying the food was not good because it was. Just expect some spice. Waitress was helpful in explaining things on the menu and even let us know the red sauce was hotter than the green sauce. Thank you Hatch chili peppers. Restaurant was clean and not overly busy so you didn't have to wait to get seated. It was also nice that it was not loud inside so you could talk with the people you ate with. This was a great restaurant for us to try as we were passing through.

Loved it. The red has some impressive heat and flavor. Great chips and salsa too. I got the Mexican combo plate with red. Every thing on that plate is five star but their little taco is so good. I'll be stopping here again

This place hit the spot! The Huevos Rancheros were simple, flavorful and excellent. They're just what I wanted. Green sauce was delicious. The Chile Rilleno was also super solid. Menudo was simple and very good. Tasted like when I had it in Mexico. Young waitress was very nice and helpful. En route to White Sands National Park, this place was a great find! Highly recommend.

Very cute place, clean and incredibly nice waitresses. The food was delicious and we served hot and fast. The drinks are a deluxe size. The entire staff was incredibly hospitable and the prices were reasonable. Very good pancakes and enchiladas!

We found this place a couple years ago and now we eat there every time we are in Deming. Very clean, great service and atmosphere lend well to the excellent food. I have had the combination plate several times and had the huevos rancheros a couple weeks ago. Both are excellent.
