East Lohman Veterinary Clinic

We were traveling through town and had a minor emergency with our senior chihuahua, and the staff at East Lohman could not have been more helpful and kind! They were able to squeeze us in when nobody else in town would even consider it. The prices were very reasonable, service was very fast, and most importantly my dog was not stressed when I got her back. Thank you for all of your help!

We had to let our cockapoo, Ale, go this morning. We took her to our clinic to have her put down. Dr. Cook gave Ale a peaceful death. Ale was given a sedative with my husband and I by her side. She laid her head in my hand and went to sleep. Dr. Cook then administered the final injection. What was so special was the compassionate care and respect of Ale all during the procedure. Assisting Dr. Cook was Sylvia whom had been with Ale during prior vet visits. As difficult as this was for all of our family we couldn't have done it without Dr.Cook and Sylvia. There is no better clinic than East Lohman.

I have just moved to Las Cruces and made an appointment with East Lohman Animal Clinic. My dog was seen by Dr. Ross. She seemed to have little interest in my dog. She seemed to be more interested in generating a a great big bill for excision of a very superficial lesion and had very marginal people skills. I am canceling my future appointment with her. The clinic was filled with animals and overall I give her at best 1 star. I will never go back there.

East Lohman Veterinary Clinic WAS great. We have been using them since the 80's. Since Dr. Ross has taken over the practice things have taken a turn for the worse. I feel Dr. Ross does not posses the compassion needed to be a veterinarian and is more concerned with making money. I have had 2 experiences with her where I feel she over looked issues she should have caught. I am not sure if she is just in a hurry or she just doesn't care. Either way I would not recommend Dr. Ross. The rest of the staff at East Lohman Vet are wonderful and I highly recommend Dr. Cook. Dr. Ross needs to go back to vet school or find a new profession.

We really loved Dr. Brown. Hope you have a well deserved retirement. Dr. Cook has been so good to us and our three dogs. We said goodby to our 19 year old last month. Dr. Cook and the staff showed such compassion for for all of us. We will continue seeing her with our other two dogs. Thank you for caring

Thank you East Lohman Vet staff for reading the chip and making the phone calls to find the home of lost dog that I had taken to them on Saturday. These folks are great and I strongly recommend them.

Best vet by far in town...local, clean, & great staff.

They've always been helpful and compassionate when I've gone to themThey were very kind when it came to emergencies and end of life decisions. They were as compassionate with my lizards as they were with my dogs and catsOnly disappointing thing is that they don't see birds. I have pet pigeons and I have had deaths because I can't find a vet in this area that will treat birds, exotics and especially pigeons I'd give 5 stars in a heartbeat if they hire on a vet for exotics and birds again.

Our Family is devastated on April 5th we took our beloved Yorkie Princess to get checked for a small growth on her tummy at this point they scheduled us to return to have It removed on Tuesday, April 25th our Princess was perfectly healthy and was dropped off at the office at 7:30 am to have a small procedure to have the growth removed and at 10:30 am they called us that she had passed away. Princess was not a Family pet but a Family member myself and my children are devastated, and heartbroken as our Princess was fine when we dropped her off and had to pick her up in a box from their office. When we picked her up, they gave us no sympathy and had no answer to what happened, when asked what happen they responded by telling us that things like this happen is all we were told. Upon further inspection of Princess, we found that they had done a large incision from the midway of her abdomen down to her toward her left leg, we were not explained why such a large incision was done when the growth they were removing was up in the midway of her abdomen. I would not recommend this veterinarian for the care of your family pet we were left with unanswered questions and our hearts broken as we had entrusted them with our beloved Princess to them to keep her safe, and to take care of her, and all we got was our Beloved Princess returned to us in a box and us left mourning the loss of our loved one that we loved very much.

Dr. Ross called me on a Friday at 4pm and said she could no longer provide weekly infusion treatments to my very sick dog that had been receiving them from this clinic for over a year. Left us scrambling to find care and a doctor willing to take the case on. My dog died a few weeks later, likely from the missed treatments while we found a new doctor. After using the now retired Dr. Brown for 20 years, I will only use this clinic for the very good bird specialist Dr. Cook. Do not trust your pets to Dr. Ross.
