Eagle Qwik Mart

A great place. Of course, being right across the street from my house, I may be a little biased. (Having a convenience store right across the street is very convenient!) They have cold beer, including "loosies" in ice bins right by the checkout! The staff is awesome, and honestly, it's a fun little place. Tiny complaint-- they don't have Redbox, they have this Blue Box movie rental... Hmmm Otherwise, four SOLID stars, and if I'm in a good mood, five! :)

I was amazed that their diesel actually performed good, for being no-name generic stuff. The store clerks were befuddled on how to print me a receipt for the fuel I pumped (that I need for tax purposes), and printed me out the wrong receipt for the wrong pump, despite me insisting I pumped diesel. I never had this problem in Texas, where it seems tons of people have diesel cars. Needless to say, unless they're the cheapest in town, I will probably avoid them.

Sign listing gas prices for regular gas was 2.59, price at pump is 2.64, it's along the ideal of bait and switch, pricing was.05/ gal different. I have photos with time stamp and location saved. And digital sign did not change as cash or membership or credit/debit card, it was at 2.59, not 2.64, might not seem like much unless you drive a truck, which I do, 50.00 equals out to 2.50 more not a good thing. I stopped because I had to, or I wasn't making it home. Bait and switch is against the law, I suggest that no one does business with them, until they fix such practices

The store branded me as a criminal on entry. They told me after I entered an aisle, looking for what I might buy, "Put your backpack at the front please". Before this I did not enter with a pack, but carried a bag for my things. I responded, "I think I will leave. I do not like how you are treating me." Since I am not a thief, the Eagle Quik Mark has lost a potentially good customer, as I live 2 blocks from the store. Too bad for them. It would be one thing if they at least posted a sign saying they want all those who happen to carry a back pack (I choose not to have a car) on their door at the front so customers would know this before entering. I felt harassed and humiliated. Now I know how people of color feel wh are often followed around in stores.

Fortunately I have choices as to where I purchase fuel and other needed convenience items because I will not be going back to this store. The cashier had the worst attitude and was incredibly rude.
