Warm hardwood floors, variety of scented oils, fitting music choices, and smart instructors make DDY a great choice for your yoga practice whether beginner or pro.I've been going to DDY for over a year now and it's a great place to practice yoga for a variety of reasons and I always look forward to my practice there as well as how I'm treated. DDY offers classes to meet all needs, abilities, and levels: beginner-friendly mellow classes all the way up to advanced intensive flows. Students are from all levels, everyone is super friendly, and the atmosphere is warm, inviting, and ideal for serenity. Classes sometimes are led by guest instructors from outside of Las Cruces, which makes for excellent opportunities to see new techniques and teaching styles. There's even a free baby yoga class for mothers! There are two things I really like about the instructors at DDY: one, they're great at guiding poses and explaining them; and two, they keep classes exciting by refreshing poses and flows to keep it feeling new--even after 10 classes with the same instructor, she will surprise you by describing a different sensation to concentrate on in a pose you've done a hundred times and suddenly it'll feel new.Overall, it's a great studio filled with always friendly faces, making it comfortable for you to explore yoga no matter what your level or goal.

Originally wen I looked this studio up I must have thought it was a mommy and me type place. This morning I just went to the yoga studio after two months (60 days!!!!!) of living in Las Cruces and It was as satisfying as being able to drink water for the first time after being stranded on an island!!! it was everything that you would've hoped for from a yoga session. The atmosphere, the instructors, the students, the ambiance was perfect. A scent of natural oils mildly lifted the mood in the Room with ethnic music that matched the flow we were practicing. The instructor Maggie led the Room with the care and consideration that my best friend has led me in with private practice. I felt so at home and welcome in this practice that I have a great need compelling me to return. I have been to so many studios back home in Southern California and Downtown Desert Yoga is one of the top 3 places I have ever visited. I happily recommend anyone of any skill level to try them too.

Downtown Desert Yoga offers a friendly and comfortable place to practice yoga at your own pace. Great instruction and personalized attention. Students get a great deal of a 5-class pass for $25! Very nice relaxation after every class with essential oils. Doing yoga again at this place reminded me of how much I like it and made me want to practice it regularly as part of my exercising routine. I would definitely recommend this studio! Come and enjoy feeling renewed, fresh and strong!

A cozy, welcoming studio where the staff and instructors greet you with a smile. No yoga snobs here - just good people working on touching their toes and making their joints more limber. -- My son and I took the Mommy & Me yoga today, and it was so much fun! Energetic Mom's and their cute kiddos -- a must for any Mom who can make it happen!

I've been long overdue for a review of DDY. Some of the words to describe this place, classes, and instructors: exceptional, outstanding, awesome, one-of-a-kind! NYC definitely has no shortage of yoga studios or classes, but I really wish we had a place like this in my neighborhood. Until then I'm just going to have to wait every 3-4 months when I return to Las Cruces. DDY has nice warm wooded floors, a nice aromatic scent, different types of yoga classes, and friendly instructors. I especially like the hot yoga classes where the room is heated to a warm temperature to help me sweat and maximize my muscle stretching. Everyone feels welcomed here regardless of your yoga background and the instructors will try to pay individual attention to each and every student by performing tactile guidance to ascertain that the poses and stretches are done correctly. I think any new/seasoned student will enjoy what DDY has to offer - I highly recommend DDY! (2 thumbs up!)
