A quiet and pleasant place to stay, this is a quaint little bed and breakfast, with a literal name: they are like cute little houses and there are only two of them. Judy the owner is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious, especially the perfectly fluffy muffins and fresh juice. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. The location was convenient and had everything we needed. Do call ahead for reservations! This place has a loyal following and fills up with local events and bird watching season. Use the directions on their website to find it ( http://www.doscasitasensocorro.com ) --google maps and apple maps will take you to the wrong place.

A friend and I stayed overnight at Dos Casitas when we came to the area for a birding visit to the Bosque del Apache. Dos Casitas is charming and comfortable, with a great bed (always a priority for me) and lots of sweet extras, like little jars of owner Judy Kurtz's homemade apricot jam for us to take home. She brought us a coffee and light breakfast tray in the evening so we could have something in our stomachs when we left for the bosque at 6:15 a.m., and then made us a real breakfast when we returned a few hours later. Breakfast with other guests and Judy's expertise on the area were a lively addition. It's so wonderful to have these human encounters when traveling, as opposed to the sterility of a hotel! Thanks, Judy, we'll be back!
