Dozen mixed donuts
Big Apple Fritter, two Long Johns, and a pastry filled with spinach and cheese. All very good. Wish the fritter had more apple.
Donuts N Boba: a pastry filled with spinach and cheese. They will heat it if you are dining there. Pretty tasty
From Donuts n Boba. This they call a spinach bistro. To be eaten warmed up.

This morning, we went to the new donut establishment in Las Cruces, Donuts N Boba, to pick some breakfast treats. We got a Cinnamon Swirl, a Cinnamon Twist, a Glazed White Cream filled donut and a Glazed donut. We cut all of them in half and shared them. They were all delicious and we have enough pieces left over for tomorrow morning. The service was excellent. Their bakery is located in the former Kind Bread location.

When I walked in I thought I had died and gone to heaven! The colors were outstanding! Then I tasted a blueberry fritter and and new I was in heaven! Along with that blueberry fritter, I bought a cinnamon bun with maple icing and pecans, a bear claw and a chocolate long john. Those 4 donuts fed 6 people.

The donuts are good and you have a variety to choose from. Staff are friendly. You have to go early to get what you want because they sell out of the "good ones" fast.

Well, now we have a second first class donut shop that rivals our long favorite Bosa Donuts. When I first walked into Donuts n Boba I was surprised at how small the service area is. It seems as though it is a rectangle measuring about 30 x 10 feet with a small counter at one end and around four or five small tables for dining on the premises. But, at least the parking situation out front is far better than that at Bosa Donuts. The service was efficient. The variety of donuts and "kolaches" was good. They offer smaller lower priced donuts and the large more expensive fritters and long johns. They also offer specialty drinks for those gearing up for the workday. It was impossible for me to compare the quality of the Donuts n Boba donuts with those from Bosa Donuts as I would have had to sample both right in front of me. But, I will say that they both seemed to be pretty equal in quality across the board. Both bakeries put out very good donuts. I sampled a pastry they call a "Spinach Bistro." It was filled with spinach and cheese and it is served heated. They will, of course, heat it for you if you are dining in. It was pretty good but not anything fabulous. Rate it a "B." The Long John's were top drawer. Rate them an "A-." The Apple Fritter was also very good, but I wished it had more large chunks of apple in it. This was a drawback I also experienced with Bosa's fritter. This large fritter was a meal in itself. Rate it between a "B+" and an "A-." The prices seemed to be similar to those at Bosa Donuts. So, both bakeries make very good donuts. The prices for donuts are about the same. Donuts n Boba has a bigger variety and they offer numerous specialty drinks. Bosa Donuts of course puts out Mexican food. There is not much to choose from regarding the service: both are ok. Donuts n Boba has a much better parking situation and no drive up window. Overall, for donuts in the morning I will probably first look to the new place, Donuts n Boba.
