I lived in Pacesetter Apts managed by Dona Ana from 2015-2017. The apartments are old but ok. Dona Ana will fix emergency work orders like broken AC in the summer, leaks or electrical problems, but they will never fix the anything of less importance. They don't seem to care much for the condition of the units. They will charge ridicule amounts for painting and cleaning once you move out with no explanation or willingness to help. That's been my experience with other apartments so I guess they are average at being greedy. Management is no the most costumer service driven but they were never rude or unprofessional to me.Props to the quality of the maintenance guy work.Definitely not looking forward to rent with them again.

I'm giving this a one star, strictly based on the owner. Never talked to me when he would call, he would just yell. Was given a 1 month lease, was out in two weeks. He had the nerve (and I'm sure will do it again) to text my husband with a very nice message saying if he needed help with anything to let him know. We found that humorous, think he was fishing for our new address. He didn't get it. If you have an ESA pet, he CANNOT charge you a pet deposit, but you must have the paperwork. I have reviewed before but was threatened with eviction if I didn't take it down, so I did. Many people have left reviews, only 2 of whom I know personally. He sent me a screenshot of a review that he insisted I had something to do with. Have no idea who C W is, but they left a review regarding ESA pets. I no longer live there so all he can do is message or call my husband to tattle. That's not going to happen. People they ARE fixing up the place, but building C apt 6 had to be completely remodeled due to all the black mold. It was so bad you could smell it outside. Building C apt 1, I will say has black mold in the master closet. They spray painted over it. Great fix. NOT! Building C apt 4, their ceiling fell in, on someone. Now if you notice I left no address of the complex, but if you go too Google maps Google Desert Oasis Leasing, READ THE REVIEWS!! Once again this is my only review on either company, one on Google Maps and one here on Yelp THEY WILL NOT COME DOWN!! Anyone renting from him needs to know that once you send in your first maintenance request he totally changes, he becomes rude and arrogant. He is degrading to women, and will threaten you with eviction over everything. Before I left, at the end of the building I lived the people just moved out and left it trashed. Why did they leave? Behind 3 months on rent. I know because one was a friend of my son's, he told us why they left. Like I said they are fixing up the place, but they are not worth what they are asking for them. Oh, and honestly read your WHOLE lease before you sign it. He puts things in there that you would not believe, and if you don't thoroughly read it, he will use it against you. He has different rules for different tenets. He says he doesn't but you will notice that not everybody applies to the "Rules and Regulations" of the complex and he does nothing about it. Don't let him degrade you ladies, if he does it once he will continue to do it. As for the complex, all I can say is WATCH OUT FOR YOUR CHILDREN. The only good thing I can say is I am 1 of a great few who got their deposit back. So that good came from it all. He normally doesn't give deposits back. And so you fully understand, he is the property manager for the house my sister lives in. She's been there 4 years. Still her windows are broken, not just cracked but actually broken. There are no screens on her windows. And when her garage door broke it took almost 3 weeks for him to get a repair man out there. She called a repair man the day it happened and he said he could come by the next day. Why did it take nearly 3 weeks to get it fixed? He only takes care of the properties when the owners are around. Beware, you've been warned

These guys have no customer service skills. They are rude and unhelpful. I would recommend everyone stay away from this company. Be smart and take your business elsewhere.

I had been a renter with this property for a few years now. But we ended up moving out last summer. After they told us that my husband should MoveOn because I was medically fragile they then started charging us ridiculous fees for nothing and they were rude and unprofessional. Refusal to fix things. More stress than it's worth

Asked to have plumbing issues taken care of last summer, but they never fixed them. I moved out 3 weeks ago and they STILL can't (more likely won't) tell me anything about my security deposit. I left the place cleaner than it was when I moved in. When you go in with a question or issue, the jerk in the back room either yells from his office (too much bother to get up and walk around the corner, I guess) or when he does come out, starts yelling and getting in the renter's face. Is a simple polite answer to a question too much to ask? Where is the professionalism? The courtesy to the people making your paycheck possible? They are hostile and borderline abusive to their renters. Find another rental company...any other rental company. No one needs the kind of problems you will deal with from Dona Ana Properties.

Have been a tenant since early 2010..and I highly recommend them to rent from. Sure there's been the odd problem, but they ALWAYS came thru and fixed it. They were always friendly, and their maintenance crew are also. A fair and ethical company. I have lived in this area since 2004, and this company is absolutely the best that we have dealt with. If you get an opportunity to deal with them..Grab it..you won't be sorry.

I only called them on the phone to check a property, having never contacted them before, and was promptly hung up on without even finishing my first sentence. Worst customer service I have ever encountered, I would stay far away from this place.

Property owners and tenants: Beware of doing business with this company. They are unprofessional, rude, unreliable, and will not show any humanity towards you. We signed a contract in good faith that was used in court to dismiss our grievances. When we found out that our property was left destroyed by a tenant who abandoned it without paying three months' worth of rent, we were left with thousands of dollars of in damages. The pictures of the damages speak for themselves.

If I could give them negative stars I would. That alone tells you my experience with them as a homeowner. Their communication with us was non existent. The only reason we knew what was going on was through our phone calls and emails to them. Each staff person we spoke to would give us a different story on what the situation was every time we contacted them. They gave the tenants free reign to do what they wanted with the lease. The tenants could break the lease just by word of mouth with no written statement. It was as if they alienated us, offered us no help or options, made everything that we wanted to do sound as if it was against the law and clearly told us we were on our own, and made it seem as if we no longer owned the house. If you are going to rent your home in Las Cruces and looking for a property management company my advise to you would be to look elsewhere. I am experienced at renting properties in different states and Dona Ana Properties, by far, is the worst property management company I have ever dealt with.
