Delicias del Mar

I went back for some grilled octopus today and I had to add an extra star because their salsa has improved quite a bit. There's still a little more tomato than I normally like but compared to what it used to be, I'll take it. The prices here are a little steep but the food is so good it doesn't bother me much. I really need to try the whole fried fish. A lot of people have told me that the whole fried fish is to die for so I'll have to force myself to not order the octopus next time even though I love it so much. This is most definitely some of the best seafood in Las Cruces or El Paso so I highly recommend giving them a try.

Food was great! It was fresh and flavorful. Just what you need in this NM Heat. I loved the shrimp cocktail and fresh oysters with a Mexican beer!

Clean and quiet atmosphere and the restaurant was busy when we went on a Saturday afternoon. Service was great and accommodating. I had the fish tacos and they were fantastic. I wanted to try a margarita but I was driving so maybe next time. Menus has good options and is mostly sea food so if you're in the mood for that this place would be perfect. It's a little expensive but what restaurant isn't nowadays. This place is a must try, I would give three and a half stars if I could.

The very best fish on foil. When I come to town from the Phoenix area, I always order it. If you don't you are missing a great experience. And the corn in cream with the salsa and chips, are amazing!!!

Wow! Great service! Amazing food! We each had a taco as an appetizer, mine was shrimp, CA's was fish, both came with a big pile of lettuce, avocado, limes, chipotle dressing, etc. Next came complimentary bowls of fish soup! Two of those would make a hearty meal! Then we received our grilled octopus and whole fried Bass. Both exceeded expectations. The octopus was tender and cooked thoroughly with a bed of fried onions, sides of cilantro, tortillas and "black sauce" which I assume is and tasted like tamarind sauce. The fish was huge and meaty, perfectly crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Both were the best we've ever add.I also had a Modelo Especial with a shrimp skewer!

If you have to go to Las Cruces for any reason, make sure you have time to eat at Delicious Del Mar. To start the corn salsa is amazing. The cold tower of shrimp, octopus, avacado, and scallops is the best appetizer these foodies have ever had. The seafood chilaquiles were epic. I mean epic. They could write songs about those chilaquiles. The fish tacos have way too much spicy Salsa in them. Way too much, but the fish inside was done to perfection and the flavor was outstanding. I am not a fan of Las Cruces, and have always tried to avoid it. I call it little El Paso, but damn if I am not looking for and excuse to go back, just to eat at the Hone of the octopus. Any thoughts of putting one in Las Vegas are welcome. Sin City could use a great place for octopus done right

This place was highly recommended. Ordered the fried fish. Tasteless, overcooked & dry. Mashed potatoes tasted as if they were from a box. White rice... Awful... How can you ruin white rice?? Had one bite and left the rest. Salad... Only soggy lettuce with oil, nothing else. Corn salsa and chili salsa... good. Fish soup .. one small piece of fish. Visiting Las Cruces Mexican restaurant, I expected better tasting food.

This place is not the same. I used to like their caldo de siete mares but the last two times I have been disappointed. It was too watery, hardly had any seafood, and tasted less than satisfactory. My wife ordered breaded shrimp and instead of salad, they packed on the white rice! I know we've all been through the pandemic but come on. Are people in Las Cruces really digging this place? I'm not!

Poor Service, highly over priced and food has no flavor. I ordered shrimp and I got a plate full of bland rice, not to mention that seating is horrible. Even if the place is full they keep half the building empty and make you wait for your meal Or be seated per the manager. No thanks I'll take my money some place else.

We ate there for the first time and it was amazing we had the octopus grilled and ceviche with shrimp It was awesome!
