Delicias Cafe

Ordered Chiles en Nogada and beef taco plate. The chiles and tacos were very good. The chiles were stuffed with a mixture of ground beef, apples, almonds and other ingredients...it was delicious. The only down side was the tepid sweet cream that covered the chiles was tepid/cold, so it cooled the chiles down. Pomegranate seeds sprinkled on top was a nice touch. Tacos were very good. Plate came with rice and refried beans. The beans were tasteless. Rice, okay.Ambiance...we went there for dinner, early evening, the restaurant was nearly empty. We seated ourselves in a booth near a window. While walking to the table we noticed flies everywhere. Not just a few, lots of them. We almost walked out, but stayed. The flies pestered us during our entire meal. We should have left. Well, we are not going back. This is restaurant hygiene 101. There is no way servers and management were not aware of the flies. Service was friendly and decent. Although our server did forget to bring a beer that I ordered, so we had to ask someone else to get it. With a nearly empty restaurant, little details like that should not be missed.

This place doesn't deserve 3.5 stars. The wait staff is friendly, they are always available and prompt with their chips and salsa. Coming from California this place is an awesome experience. The ambiance is bright and colorful and with the locals showing I ok in 12-24 size parties, they are willing to accommodate any one. The kitchen staff is fast and accurate. Some serious love is poured in this place. Caldo de res was a welcomed gift. Reminds me of the love from a Peruvian spot I frequent in Moorpark, CA.

We have eaten here many many times now. I believe it has the best red salsa for chips in town (Green #1 goes to Nopalitos). We often bring home to salsa when we dine here.Posole. That is all. The best and only green posole I have found in town. Two sizes. Just get the big one. You can take home the extra - if there is any. The huge buttered bread is greasy enough to add great flavor when you dip it in the soup. This is my favorite posole in town.But three's nothing here that's not good depending on your taste. This is very authentic Mexican food. I often stop by to get food to go. It's pretty quick. I've never had a to go order messed up here either!

Food was quite good! We arrived on a Saturday morning. We did not have to wait for a table. I ordered the huevos rancheros with carnitas. Very unique dish, tbh. I only wish the carnitas were a little more golden, but overall, a great meal. We definitely plan on returning. Very friendly service.

Today I enjoyed lunch at Delicias Cafe. The service was pleasant, quick, and efficient. The Asado Delicias was chunked pork Colorado or red chile con carne. The flavor was a tad different than your usual red chile con carne found around these parts, but it had a nice flavor. However, at the end of the day, I still prefer their carnitas plate. That is my favorite dish served at Delicias. The refried beans were below average, tasteless and very mediocre. The salsa and chips were so-so. The beef and vegetable soup that accompanied the meal was quite good. This is one of those places where it helps if you know what to order. Not everything is top drawer. (I might also add, unlike the January 3, 2025 reviewer states...they do "not" automatically add an 18% gratuity to your bill! That is false. I have never had that happen at Delicias Cafe.)

Not a fan that they charge 3.5% of your bill if you use a debit or credit card. Also, not a fan that they automatically add 18% gratuity on your bill. Tips and how much to tip should be the customer's choice and left to their discernment and not a mandate because the restaurant does not wish to raise staff wages.We ordered a vege omelette and a spinach omelette. They did not offer cheddar cheese although the menu stated they offer cheddar cheese. The omelette was a bit overcooked so a bit dry. The hash browns were a very slim portion and a bit overcooked.Loved the decor and ambience was festive and colorful.Food server very friendly and efficient.

Ordered through DoorDash. Sent wrong food. Ordered Caldo de Res, received Caldo de Pollo. When I called the one who answered said the lady that prepared the order said she made the correct food. I asked if they wanted a picture. Still argued. I again asked if they wanted a picture! Then said they cannot refund the money and I would have to come get the correct food. After I already PAID for DoorDash! I ordered because I am very sick. Drive back only for them to be very rude and act surprised that it was chicken! Then to find out they have their own delivery service and no offer or apology. Never eat there again. Poor customer service!!!

This place has amazing food. I was very impressed. Would highly recommend. They provided excellent customer service.

We've been to Cafe Delicias several times. We love it. The food is excellent, the service is excellent as are the wait staff. For me, the ambiance makes one think they just stepped into Mexico. Definitely one of my favorites. I love the food so much I literally forget to take pics of my food!

Unfortunately their food and customer service ain't what it use to be. Food is unflavored, cooks don't know the difference of making an egg sunny side up vs over easy. Only good thing now is their salsa and chips. Sad to say I won't be going there anymore.
