Day Transmissions

In terms of the work, Sal and his team did great. This was the second rebuild of my transmission (Ford F-150 with 345,000+ miles!), and it feels as good as new again. In terms of the timeframe, that's were I docked the last star. Initially Sal told me a week (I was moving in about 3 weeks), and after a week he hadn't even looked at the transmission. Second week he started telling me they were having trouble getting parts, which is something he should have said when I asked for a quote/dropped off the truck. Many, many phone calls later I threatened to show up in person, and suddenly the truck was ready the next day. Funny how that happens.He asked for me to bring the truck back before I left town with it, and he did a check up on it and told me some very good information, showed me temperatures, and so forth. Sal is very good at what he does, the place just sucks with time. In terms of price, it was a bit more expensive than some other places, but it's definitely not a task you want to be cheap on. You get what you pay for. And I think my 2007 truck has at least another 50,000 to 100,000 miles left in it! (Also, rebuilt transmission is way cheaper than a new truck).

Honest work and saved us $$. Transmission work is a pain but with time they fixed the issue. Thanks guys!

Quality, professional work provided in a very timely manner. Sal and his crew are efficient and knowledgeable of their trade. While in for a routine oil change at another local business, the technician noticed the transmission "slipping" slightly. They recommended Day Transmission. We called, got an invitation for a brief (15 minute) diagnostic test the next business day, and brought the vehicle in the very next day for service. We were quoted approximately 2 1/2 hours of work time, and were very pleasantly surprised to find that to be exactly accurate. The final price was within the quote, andmuch lower than expected. Any time I need transmission work in the future, Day Transmission is definitely where I will bring my vehicle(s).

This is the WORST auto repair shop I have been to. I arrived at 8:05 am, right after they opened, for the manager (Sal) to tell me that it would be a 15-20 minute wait before they could begin repair work on my transmission. I waited patiently and talked casually with him until about 9:15 am. Now, the manager went out to see if the employees were finished and able to begin work on my vehicle. Sal told me that, unfortunately, it would be another 15 minutes. At 9:30 am, he went outside to check, and came back and didn't say anything to him. I asked, respectfully, how long it would be, to which he replied "another 15 minutes, okay?" I then said "Sal, it was 15 minutes 20 minutes ago." He then said, "I never told you I would give you priority over other cars. We have to finish the other cars before yours." I then said, "I have been waiting for 1 hour and 30 minutes now." He then said, "Do you wanna leave?" I said, "I might have to. Goodluck."I had other appointments. If you want unrealistic waiting times and a rude manager who behaves apathetic towards any exchange that does not benefit him, this is the place for you.
