Usually, I go to barber shops that are predominantly marketed towards men, so this place, which just opened up near UTEP, is a bit different then my regular place. My first impression was quite positive, as I entered to a bright, pleasantly blue salon. With modern decor, and blow driers hanging from the ceiling next to the haircut chairs, the natural light really contrasted with the darker, TV illuminated place I usually go to. I was the only customer in the salon and got to sit down for my cut immediately. The workers were kind enough to offer me water or strawberry lemonade, which I did opt for. It was refreshing, and a nice customer-service touch. My stylist did a good job, and while the cut took longer than it usually does, she was obviously very detail-oriented and made pleasant chat. While the cut is priced higher than I am accustomed to, D & M Paul Mitchell is a great option around campus and will certainly patronize them on occasion. I went to D & M salon for the first time today. What a great place. Jamelle did an awesome job(cut, color, style). I relaxed, had a glass of wine, and received a great cut and color. Loved it, recommend it, and will be going back. Also, very reasonably priced!

I made an appointment for my elderly mom and have to day David Guerra left my mom with a beautiful hair style and feeling great! I highly recommend him and will encourage all to give David a try. Excellent customer service and amazing works of art!

Wow! Just wow! I'm a new customer here. I had been in on one previous occasion for a cut. They did a very nice job and I decided this was going to be my new go to. Silly me, didn't bother to check their business hours on my second visit, and tried to walk in on a Monday when they're closed. Just as I was getting ready to leave, Maria came to the door and invited me in. What a great customer experience! She happened to be in taking care of admin work and was gracious enough to offer to take care of me despite them being closed. She is a wiz with scissors and did an amazing job! Great salon, great price, great atmosphere and can't beat the great customer service! Highly recommend!

I came here as a new customer and brought my formula for my color from my previous paul mitchell salon to have my roots touched up. I had let them know that its quite hard for color to take in my hair and the formula they were reading may seem too much, but please follow that. They decided they knew my hair better, and said the previous people didn't know what they were doing. Fast forward two and a half hours later and lo and behold, my hair did not pick up the color they had picked. What the owners of the salon made sure to do though, was walk by a couple of time and say how beautiful this color was! I pointed out "can you not see a line from where the my original hair grows out?" It was a distinct line. The male owner said "I PROMISE you it will get darker, thats just how the dye works" To be fair, they did offer to redo the color at that moment, but I had just spent two and a half hours in there and did not feel like judged another minute. They looked at me like I was the one that was crazy! They did happen to charge me 85 dollars though. The dye never got darker. I decided I didn't want to go back to a salon that tries convince you that this is what you asked for, and looks at you like you're crazy when it doesn't come out the right way.
