I had planned on purchasing a used vehicle that was listed on CarGurus. I arrived at the dealership in the evening and we took the car for a test drive. I told the salesman I wanted to think the purchase over night and no commitment was implied by either of us. The next morning I called the salesman to tell him that I was definitely interested in the used car and that I wanted to arrange for my mechanic to take a look at the car first before finalizing the purchase. I would assume that this is a standard procedure when purchasing any used car. I scheduled the appointment for the next day and called the salesman to inform him of the pending appointment and that I would be there the next morning to take the car in for the inspection. This was all fine with the salesman. 3 hours later the salesman calls me to tell me that they had sold the car to someone else. He then offered for me to come in and maybe find something else off the lot. I thought it was very unprofessional to sell the car out from underneath me, when I had informed the salesman I was interested and he was well aware that I had scheduled to have a mechanic inspect it.

I'm writing this review so that those who follow me will be aware of potential problems when dealing with internet sales from Crawford Buick GMC of El Paso, TX. I bought a 2016 Toyota Corolla from this dealership sight unseen, relying on the dealership and it's sales person to represent the car truthfully. The car looked great in the pictures on Car Gurus. It had good looking wheels, too. In the description under major options were listed 3 items: steel wheels, bluetooth and backup camera. I concluded that the wheels I saw in the picture were some kind of special steel wheels.I bought the car and then received pictures of it sent by the sales person. The car had stock steel wheels with plastic wheel covers. Not what was pictured. When asked about this the sales person said that the pictured car was not the car that was being offered for sale. This is a problem when dealing with a sale through the internet. Additionally, the car had been owned by a cigarette smoker and smells of smoke. This also should have been stated up front. So while the wheels are a cosmetic issue the smoke is a true annoyance. Had I known about the smoke I would not have bought the car.The dealership had the car professionally cleaned but there is still a lingering smell of smoke. When given the opportunity to correct the issue of the wheels, the sales person offered to sell me a different car. This really wasn't an option for me.So when buying a car without seeing it be very careful! Buyer beware, as they say.

I was not treated as a valued customer from the start. I was purchasing from another state and it took 4 days to close a deal. I asked my salesperson, Juan, if it would take this long if I was there in person; he told me no. I asked him to treat me as if I was in the store, this never happened. I kept getting excuses that he was waiting on Mario, the sales manager. All the while others who were there in person were driving away the same day. After several messages and phone calls, I called the internet manager, I wish I knew his name, who finally got me some answers. The finance manager, Soraya, has yet to return my phone calls and emails in reference to my registration. It has been 4 days. She has picked up the phone, but then immediately hung up. This is very unprofessional. I asked Juan to inquire about my registration, I am still awaiting a response, going on 3 days now. It has been a stressful nightmare dealing with this dealership. From the start, I told them this was my wife's Christmas gift. There was no courtesy extended to attempt to get the truck here by Christmas. The lack of respect and interaction is ridiculous. I am still stressed awaiting a response for my registration answer. I would not purchase another vehicle from this dealership, maybe if I was there in person, but most likely not. GM should consider looking into this dealership. Juan, Mario, and Soraya have made this an unpleasant experience and by far the worst experience I have had in 23 years of purchasing vehicles from GM.
