A small quaint older cafe by the road, with one sweet person running the entire front. We got there at 11:45 on a Wed right before lunch hour. They had a few to go orders ready, but otherwise no one was in there. That was about the change. The first was a local and his wife who came in, got his own iced tea and sat down. Then more family, additional locals from the community, and probably contract or D.O.T. workers. The place was packed with folks seated and standing in line for orders to go by 12:15. Get there early, they do serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Now for the food, I had the nacho supreme was very good until I got about 1/2 way, then it was nothing but nacho drenched chips. It was good, but my suggestion is to ask for the nacho sauce only on the side so you can control the amount. Now my husband is finicky when it comes to chili burgers, rarely does one meet his expectations, but this one each exceeded his hopes. He was very grateful to have found this little gem. The only reason I gave them a 4 is because of accessibility. You can easily maneuver around and find a dining placement for a wheelchair, but you won't easily get into the restroom with it. When we went, no one could use the one restroom as there were no lights anywhere. Otherwise if your looking for a quick option right alongside the freeway for good home style burgers, burritos, tacos, nachos, etc. give Cowboy's Land a try.

Tucked into the shade of the adjacent gas station (ATM), this fine cash-only eatery is under new ownership/ management, which necessitated a name change from "Angie's" to "Cowboy's Land". The menu is both American and Mexican, ALL delicious (though some items are not always available)! When cycling, this is a definite recharge point for my body, especially for brekkie before leaving this amazing community. I also will buy two or three burritos "to go", which will power my body throughout the day before reaching the evening's destination. It's also where I refill/ice up my water bottles--no one travels in the Chihuahua Desert (or anyplace) without clean freshwater! An essential stop for me, it would be good for you, too. This fine eatery certainly has my coveted "iWheel of Approval!"
