My mom recommended the Country Club Animal Clinic to me because she has had several positive experiences so I was very excited about switching doctors and grooming services. From day one, I really wanted to like this place but I haven't had the same positive experiences as my mom. I've been taking both of my dogs to get groomed and I ALWAYS have a negative experience. The first time I took my dogs to get groomed, the former grooming manager, Maribel, was VERY RUDE. She didn't say anything in particular that was rude but her attitude and tone of voice was unnecessary. Of course, after a couple of months of consistent tipping and an Easter goodie basket, Maribel's attitude completely changed. The second time I took my dogs to get groomed, my eight-year-old poodle/yorkie mix, had an anxiety attack mid grooming session, which has never happened before. Yes, she is very playful and very energetic but she has NEVER had anything happen during a grooming session in her whole eight years of living. Last month, I took my dogs to get groomed by the new groomer, Lulu, and the same dog described above has two moles on her back and when I picked her up, I noticed that they were both bleeding. I asked one of the groomers what happened and she simply said, "That happens every time they come, the razor just cuts them off... We have dogs that come in with tons of them all of the time and they're okay." She didn't apologize, explain what had happened in detail, and she didn't give any further care instructions. When I got home, I noticed that they were still bleeding so I called the clinic, explained what happened, and I was just confirmed that she would be okay. Again, the staff didn't apologize or give any further care instruction. I posted the same review on their Facebook page and the doctor did reach out asking me to call the clinic to speak to the clinic manager. I called and did speak to her, she did apologize to me but it wasn't the best experience either. My family and I will not be returning.

Dr. Harvey and the staff are amazing! Only place I'll board my fur babies. Facility is clean, up to date and very cool. If you're west side, it's easy to get to and convenient.

The next time someone calls seeking emergency care for their pet on a Saturday, please don't tell them they can be worked in if they get there before noon, only to tell them when they arrive that no doctor is on the premises.

I've been taking my pets to Dr. Harvey since 2002 and absolutely love the service we have received over the years! The compassion and care our pets receive is wonderful. We appreciate that Dr. Harvey always gives her honest professional opinions about treatment options. We also like that she incorporates holistic treatments in her practice as well. Just this past November my beagle was attacked by a coyote. Dr. Harvey and her staff were quick to act and treat our dog even though we had no standing appointment. Glad to report that our beagle recovered from her bite wounds and rib injuries and is doing just fine! We wouldn't take our pets to any other vet in El Paso, TX!

I have been a customer of dr Harvey for 25 years I have had 5 dogs and they all passed away. in 2021 I adopted 2 more dogs - of course I took them to dr Harvey. in all 25 years I have never had a problem great service - very caring staff and a good relationship with dr Harvey. in 2021 dr Harvey opened a boarding area and day care. a huge turnover - new groomers all the times- ( I understood ) I boarded and groomed my dogs many times and it was ok - I had some issues but they always took care of things - she had great front desk young ladies and great groomers. never had an issue - I understand turn over has been bad for all businesses and finding good employees is hard as I own 3 businesses !!!I booked an appointment in nov , 2022 to get my two dogs groomed - their shots were due in jan as well I also asked about boarding them thru Christmas when I called the girl she said we were booked for boarding - I said ok let me groom then only - shots in Jan - and asked if she can get me a referral to board them somewhere else as I was traveling - she gave me a referral and I was fine . then I go in for the grooming schedule - a very nice front desk girl checks me in , I said are you new -? she said yes . I joked around by saying there has been so many girls working the front- nice to meet you. asked her for her name introduced myself - then a groomer that I have never met before comes out and looks at me top to bottom -like disgusted very rude - and said what do you want to do on the dogs - shots too ? I said the same thing you have done before - grooming only today - I liked what they did last time she said I don't have any notes from before (very rude ) I said ok let me tell you what I want and please tell me if thats good or what you would recommend . -never introduced herself - and still very rude. then proceeds to ask me to say sign the papers. I have two hyper dogs in my hands. -I asked her to please hold the dogs so they don't run around so I can sign - she said Just let them go. I took the papers and signed. she removed one of the dogs collars and then said I cannot remove your other dogs collar - I said last time they were here they tied the girls collar because it kept coming off. and they were worried she would looseshe said again you have to take it off and I did not do that last time -- I said I m not accusing you -just stating that's what they did last time - i asked can you groom her with a collar on - she said no - I was very annoyed because this lady was so rude - horrible customer service - and does not bother to explain - so I said let me cut it and I can buy another collar from you guys when I pick them up.the front girl said let me help you ( she was so nice ) she held the dog and I cut the collar this groOmer looks at me and tells me you came in in with an attitude and I don't want to groom your dogs - I m going to call the manager - I said listen I don't understand what your problem is but i don't get why you are treating me this wayand I said have your manager call me I left as I had to go - and I called when I was done - they told me to pick up my dogs they will not groom them - I said I cannot do it right now - please groom them they said no - we will put them in day care and charge you for that and we are refusing grooming --I called the manager - this groomer told the manager and dr Harvey that I refused to sign the papers - that I was complaining about having to repeat myself about the grooming services - that I complained about them being full for the holidays - I complained about new employees constantly - totally changed the story - they told me they will no longer groom my dogs from now on but I can still go dr Harvey for shots etc - I said absolutely not - I refuse to give them business - I asked that dr Harvey to call me as I felt we had a good business relationship and I trusted her as a vet - wanted to explain my side - dr Harvey never picked up the phone - sends me a text telling me that she needs to provide a safe work environment - like I did something unsafe - her staff feels that I'm hostile and angry and told me not to come back.-I responded and told her that as a fellow business owner and a customer for 25 years please have the courtesy to call me and hear my side - and talk to the receptionist that witnessed her employee bad demeanor - I told her I will never come back - I understand you have to listen to your employee side but you also cannot be afraid to reprimand bad customer service because you are desperate for a groomer.this employee twisted and lied about everything - simply because she did not like me - the way she was looking at me said it all -again I never had an issue for 25 years --it makes me sad that dr harvey feels that she should believe a liar first of all - and treat a good customer that has referred a ton of people to her.--I will never recommend nor refer dr Harvey clinic , grooming or boarding to anyone.

Dr. Harvey and her staff are amazing! We recently lost our beloved fur baby, and Dr. Harvey and her staff went above and beyond to make the experience much easier to cope with. It was such a difficult loss for us, but we were comforted by the staff. I am glad our baby was in the best care in her last few days.

Not sure how that would work since you mailed me my pets' records. I seriously doubt you are interested in how you can serve this client or any other any better but it looks so sweet as a response. Insincere but oh do sweet.

My advice is to call other clinics beforehand and compare prices. The consultation for our cat was $100, just to tell us he was in good health and then they were going to charge about $500 for a neuter. The morning of the procedure, they called us ten minutes before our appointment to reschedule in another two weeks. I understand there is a shortage of services due to Covid, but this clinic is using the shortage to over-charge their customers and I read in previous reviews that they cancel appointments often. Ultimately, I found another local clinic that charges half the price and a mobile service that costs about $100 for the same procedure. If you have money to burn and a lot of time in your hands, then Country Club is fine.
