I called there to make an appointment for my son, as I had a referral from TRICARE. The woman I spoke to on the phone said that they aren't accepting any children this week. As it's Friday, I explained that I don't need him to be seen this week, I just want to make the appointment. She said that it doesn't work that way, as she would first have to take down my information, verify my insurance, and then call me back to make the appointment. I said fine and suggested that she do all that now to save time, asI didn't want to have to wait any longer than I have to to get him an appointment. She said something about their owners being out of town this week, and that I would still have to wait until Monday. I'm not sure why their owners would need to be present to take down information. I again asked her to explain why they had to wait until Monday, and she again explained that that they aren't accepting any children this week. I again explained that I don't need him to be SEEN this week, I just want to get the ball rolling on his appointment, as Thanksgiving is next week (short work week) and I'm going out of town the following week. In the end, I didn't get anywhere with that woman. I DO NOT recommend this place. If they're too incompetent to even take down information, I don't want my son to be seen by them.

I had been there a few times before I had some issues and didnt go back. Years later I decided to go back to get help with some issues and I had a counselor and I liked her she told me in my first meeting that she was leaving in about a month, but would still be working there weekends. I guess that changed and she decided to leave, I was then just in limbo and they told me that they needed to find me a new counselor. I was already agitated as I already spent time with this woman and I would have to do an initial consultation with the new therapist. I decided not to go and I got really bummed out and depressed. I finally decided to call again to make an appointment with the new counselor and they said because I cancelled appointments they did not wish to schedule me with any of their therapists and they can refer me to other places. I feel like if you are supposed to be helping people than just because they cancelled you are going to refuse them help and send them away. I would give this place no star if I could.

The counselor was great but the receptionist and whoever handles the insurance verification need to be more aware of the information given. I called to make an appointment and gave them my insurance information. 3 days later they called to let me know that everything was fine with my insurance. They never mentioned that I was OUT OF NETWORK. They never mentioned that my visit would be $160. I knew I had met my deductible so I was not expecting a charge and again, they never mentioned anything. When I arrived, I filled out paperwork and they asked for a copy of the insurance card. They did not collect or ask for any money. I saw the counselor and when I was done and trying to make another appointment, that's when she asked for $160. I asked why and she said because I am out of network and haven't met the $2000 deductible. I explained that the person I spoke with never mentioned that so I was under the impression I was covered. I would have NEVER gone to someone out of network since I know that it wouldn't have been covered. As the COO of a medical office, if one of my employees would have made that mistake, I would have never charged for the visit. The receptionist was rude and even had the nerve to ask if I still wanted another appointment. The staff needs to inform people of exactly how much is covered, and the cost of the initial appointment. And to avoid problems like this, charge the CO-PAY upfront. I paid of course, but am not happy and would never go back, even if my insurance did pay.

I think that this place is alright, I've been going there for a little while and I find that while the counselor that I see is nice enough but their reception staff is slightly lacking in that regard. Each time that I have been there I will end up waiting up to 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment time, which was fine the first time because I thought that she was just looking at my information, but it has happened each time; I just feel like if I'm going to be paying for an hour I should probably be seeing a counselor for an hour, because if I wanted to read a book I can do that at home. Also when coming out of the office to schedule another appointment I find that the receptionist will always tell me to wait to check people in, which is fine if they are there before me, but when I am told that I have to wait for people who are just walking in the door I think that it's a little rude.
