The Olney House. Photo from the B&B's website.
Cheesecake is one of our specialties.
Then entrance to the Cottage Bakery.
Recommended by Ruth of Cottage Bed and Breakfast in Safford as a nice motorcycle ride - wanted to share the view. Too bad Yelp cropped.
You'll be welcomed by a smiling face a wonderful smells!

Great, little cottage, close to downtown. Very clean and cozy! Ruth was very accommodating and the bakery beside the cottage was perfect!

We stayed here for a couple of nights on a motorcycle trip through the area last month. We would recommend this as a place for anyone looking for a very nice place to stay for a night or a week. There is plenty to do nearby, and the town is a treasure trove for the photo enthusiast. We asked Ruth to recommend a place for a pleasure ride, and she recommended the Swift Trail a little south on 191. We tried it (photo attached) and absolutely loved the ride. Lots of curves while ascending a lovely mountain road with breathtaking views.Friendly people, and an awesome little bakery on-site - on our list for every trip through the area.

It's been a long time since I've stayed at an actual Bed & Breakfast. This is a one-suite property right next to an adorable bakery. Upon arrival, I just walked right in to my suite and started to get settled in. A little girl came to the door and asked when I'd like breakfast and made sure I was acclimated. So cute!! Breakfast was great, WiFi was great, Bed was fantastic. I'm so happy to have found this little gem in Safford!

Made our second trip here. This time there was no goof up in our order or missing, there was an adult working with one I the young girls workin the register so all good. We went in earlier than last time and had a better selection to choose from . This time tried their Pecan cinnamon roll and it's amaaaazing. Tried their cafe Americano and it was somewhat weaker than I expected , still good.

Found this bed & breakfast to be a delight, although not at all what I had in mind. According to the B&B website, the Olney House was built in 1890, is listed on the National Register of Historic Buildings and is a fine example of Western Colonial Revival architecture in the Southwest. It's also the private residence of a family of eight and you're not going to see inside. No matter! We preferred the privacy of staying in the large private cottage behind the historic house. Breakfast is served at an agreed upon time in the cottage. We loved it. Ruth is a great welcoming angel for newcomers visiting Safford/Thatcher and while accommodating dietary restrictions she served us a delicious breakfast. A bakery business appears to be thriving and expanding. Work was in progress on two outbuildings for a commercial kitchen offering baked goods and espresso to the public at numerous tables in the shade of a huge and equally historic tree.

Fabulous B and B in an historic building. You will be treated as family, make that a well fed member of the family! There is a bakery adjacent the cottage that is well worth the trip to Safford all on it's own!

On a bike tour with a friend from France and she agrees these are some of the best pastries we have yet to find in the US. This place is a little gem tucked away in a residential part of Safford not far off from Main St. The scone and pecan rolls are to die for! You won't wanna miss this place :D

The owners are delightful to interact with and do business. The food, especially the baked goods, which are available in the bakery, are some of the best I have ever had! Breakfast pancakes were light and tasty served with blueberries and delicious homemade jam. Breakfast is served either in the cottage or in the courtyard surrounded by plants and a vegetable garden. Very relaxing atmosphere! We stayed here so we could visit the Mt. Graham telescopes. Both turned out to provide a great stay in Safford.

We stopped for one evening on our way through to the White Mountains. First off, there is nothing historic or period about the cottage, but we knew that going in based on pics from the website, However, it was extraordinarily clean, well equipt, and comfortable. Our host was gracious and helpful, and breakfast was the absolute bomb. On the way out we shopped in the bakery, literally 5 feet from our cottage door for road snacks. Pasteries were exquisite. Lemon shortcakes to die for. Highly recommend as a comfort stop during a road trip.
