Dr. Freund and his staff are amazing! My office found a kitten trapped in a storm drain. Once we managed to rescue it, we knew it needed veterinary attention. It was so tiny! When I went to pick her up, the first thing I noticed upon walking into the office was it was clean, very positive staff talking with other patrons and loving on their animals, and one very dedicated staff member trying to work at a computer while a cat (perhaps king of the office) walked back and forth in front of her screen. Meeting Dr. Freund was amazing. I told him I didn't have any pets, but I felt a bond with this kitten and wanted to take good care of her, so he talked with me and educated me on her needs and how to properly care for her. I appreciated him taking this time so much. Pennywise as I've decided to call her, will need her first shots in 2-3 weeks and I wouldn't even consider taking her anywhere else.

Wow.I do not write reviews often, I don't typically care enough to....but when I went to confirm the phone number on google (new phone drama) and I saw some of these reviews; I was shocked.I have lived in many cities and several states with my best-est Cavalier King Charles Spaniel friends; always researching and investing in vets that will offer this breed/my best friends' the best possible care.I have utilized Coronado since my transfer a few years ago from Chicago. The staff is kind, always....but most importantly, Dr. Roger Freund is incredible. The complaints about wait time are absolutely silly. I've never been to a vet in my life where there wasn't waiting involved.Ever. . .This isn't supposed to be a drive-through, people! The only essential thing to me is QUALITY CARE and DETAILED communication DIRECTLY from the Veterinarian. If that means that I'm waiting a bit because this amazing vet is taking his time whilst caring for someone else's little creature, so be it.It's a gift, the time and attention that Dr. Freund gives to your creature in the exam room.My experience with Coronado has been wonderful. My two beloved friends Bohdi and Bosli passed on, one in Coronado's offices and I now have two beautiful clay paw-prints and urns with their treasured ashes.I trust Coronado and Dr. Roger Freund.

Something went horribly wrong...The Coronado Animal Clinic was recommended by a friend and had good reviews, so I decided to take my best friend Riley here. I believe our first visit to the clinic was in May 2017.I took Riley, a 7 1/2 year old Maltese, for a problem he was having with his hair initially and also to monitor a collapsing trachea and heart murmur. My initial visit was for what was diagnosed as folliculitis, and Riley was being treated with antibiotics and was showing improvement, then on June 22nd we went for a follow up visit on the folliculitis and I asked the doctor's opinion on what to do to help with his collapsing trachea, which was causing increased coughing at times. (In the past with another vet, it was recommended to give him hydrocodone syrup or isoproterenol, which helped subdue the coughing...but new this was something that he and I would have to live with as a remedy.) On 6/22 after, ruling out that surgery might be an option but not necessarily a cure, Dr. Freund recommended a compound medicine that was developed by Auburn University called " Auburns Collapsing Trachea Solution Suspension " that supposedly had great success with other pets with a collapsing trachea...so I decided to give it a try to help Riley. The only side effect per the doctor would be drowsiness. I took the prescription to McCrory's Pharmacy as recommended by the doctor. I picked up the prescription from the pharmacy on Friday, 6/23 and the pharmacist also noted that drowsiness would be a side effect. We had a good weekend on so no medication was needed. After having a little coughing spell on Sunday night I decided to try the new prescription on Monday morning before heading to work. Riley always goes to the office with me daily. So around 6:15am I gave Riley his first dosage the this compound formula that was recommended...by 6:45am Riley died in the car on I-10 on the way to work. Needless to say I was sad and angry that he went before his time, by something that was suppose to help him, with the only side effect being drowsiness...but killed him within minutes. I can only assume that one of three things caused this unfortunate death.-possibly Riley wasn't a good candidate for this compound formula-possibly a problem with the compound formula, but was assured it was formulated correctly -possibly the recommended dosage was too highI'm still looking for answers for this unnecessary tragedy...but I'm finding none, and may never!RIP Riley....I'm so sorry.

This terrible vet had the audacity to tell me my dogs paw was ok after her limping on it for a few day so they charged me for the X-ray never showed me it, gave me pain killers and said she will be fine in 2 weeks. I followed the advice ended up taking her to another vet because after 2 weeks it got worst. So I had to take her to another vet where they took another X-ray and install noticed it was a break. So if you care about your pets I wouldn't even consider this place.

I love the veterinarian there and he charges reasonably, however it is very difficult to schedule an appointment there. The secretaries there are rude and make it very difficult to get in. I call three weeks ahead of time to make an appointment to get my dog's teeth cleaned and they say it can't be done. They want to give me an appointment four weeks from now. The hours of operation are very impractical for working people.

Wife took dog for nails etc. Came back with a terrible limp so-called for an immediate appointment to determine source of problem - at first refused on next day visitbut after insisting that it be looked into was advised to come in tomorrow and wait to see the doctor. Waited but left after told would be longe than time she had so left, knowing my concern that whatever was causing the limp should not develop into something worse. Disappointed in their lack of concern after creating a problem that should have been avoided (one of the nails had been cut extremely short, apparently by an untrained tech). The doctor appeared to know her stuff, though.

Staff is rude every time I go or call. Horrible smell coming from the dirty back area. Dr. Freund misinformed me and my cat died a week after going there. Average prices.

Wow! Probably the best vet experience I have ever had. I walked in and was immediately taken back to a room (which I very much appreciated bc my kitty gets so scared waiting around other animals In the waiting room). The vet techs were very gentle and they were able to draw blood in less than 10 minutes. I was most impressed with Dr. Freund. He was phenomenal. I loved his energy and could feel how passionate he is about taking care of animals. He explained everything so thoroughly and put all my worries at ease. The front desk girl wasn't the friendliest but other than that it was a great experience and I 10/10 recommend this clinic!
