Corner Kitchen

It's rare to visit a place that not only feels like you've come home but has you smacking your lips so hard you think about moving just so you can eat there every day. Corner kitchen has staff that are genuinely happy to be there and it shows by how they interact with you. The dining hall has a nostalgic comfort feel. Howard often feels like a heart of the community the way he welcomes newcomers and those who clearly frequent the place. But let's talk about the food. I had the pleasure and privilege to eat four different meals, a cookie and a scone. I can't choose which I loved more. The breakfast --frittata with ham and cheese and a side salad with the most perfect lemon dressing over perfectly picked greens-- was my most recent eat. I could go on and on but to sum it up-- This place is a gem. Run don't walk.

Great little breakfast/brunch/lunch spot in Silver. Everything is scratch made and delicious!! Loved the veggie bowl and the bacon green chile scone. Menu is always changing, so there is always something new to try.

We are regulars the healthiest dishes imaginable! He mixes it up always a flare something different and new you would not have come up with. I love his food and I feel good when I eat here like I did my body some justice.BTW: Howard wife Cancer and still daily we see him. If he closes early or in rush or things aren't together we understand completely because of what he and his wife are enduring . Lovely place when the weather is good, outdoor seating is nice and the shaded semi-indoor area has cool and modern vibes. I asked for whatever the best menu item was at the front counter and the crab cakes did not disappoint - they were also sold out by 1230 on a Friday. Pastries and coffee to go were also great. Solid choice with unique daily specials, wish I could've tried something from Thursday's Creole inspired menu too!

Howard and his team are amazing. They serve up high vibrational, healthy foods lovingly made from scratch that feed your soul! This is a must if you're visiting Silver City. And if you live here, you are so lucky to have Corner Kitchen on the regular!

Looked good, tasted good, but still got food poisoning. Cannot vouch for the cleanliness of this establishment. Nice outside seating area when the weather is nice. Inside seating can be cold during cooler months as it has no heating.

A real gem at the end of the road. Enter at the corner and the menu stands before you. Order your meal, grab a drink, and pay at the counter. You can sit outside or in a room out back with fans and a cooler. Service was polite and attentive, and I soon had my meal. I ordered the salmon kale salad, thinking at least it would be healthier for me than the beans and cheese served everywhere else in town. It was sublime, with the salmon cooked perfectly, and the grill on the veg was a nice touch.If you are craving well prepared meals and are stuck in a town with little to choose from, this is the place to wander into at the end of the road on the corner.

Howard offers daily home made dishes that are hard to compare in our food desert of a county. Can't really recommend anything because the menu always changes, but, he'll always have several dishes to choose from including vegetarian options.

Service was horrible, after waiting for 45 minutes went to inquire and was told by Howard, i believe his name was that things were under control. Waited another 15 minutes and that time was told the system lost our order. Requested a refund but did not take the tip out of the tip jar. No response from Howard at this time. Don't know if it was really a system malfunction or they just ran out of food and went to the store to replenish. Bad experience for us.

The food was so-so; I ordered eggs and biscuits and gravy. The gravy had sausage which I should have asked about; my bad. The biscuits were cold although the eggs were hot. Hubby enjoyed the asparagus omelette. The dining area was pretty strange -- out the back door and in another to eat in a rustic area. What I disliked most was the disposable plastic glasses for water. It's not cool but I guess they'll continue using them. Staff was friendly, to be fair :)
