Cocteles Mazatlan

Have passed many times and figured the always packed place must be good. I will start off by warning you there might be a wait (albeit nothing over 15 mins) We waited for about 10 before seated. (Like everywhere else, theyre short staffed)They brought us tostadas with salsa to start. The Aguas frescas were delicious, except the cucumber one which was too sweet. I had the camarones carnaval and they were in a creamy chipotle sauce with spinach and onion. The plate came with a pilaf of rice and a baked potato and simple salad a d a piece of toasted bread. They bring you a fish broth before the plate too and that was hearty and flavorful. My bf got the camarones caribe and they were shrimp wrapped in a cheesy white mediterranean sauce with Jalapeño..simply delicious. We wanna go back and try the cocteles as a lot of people were eating that and looked really good.

This is upscale diamond seafood gem of the lower valley always full, always busy and always good quality food and service even when they low on staff. We had the loaded large cocktail with seven seas and then followed it with the 1/2 dozen oysters Rockefeller with shrimp and 2 nice Tecate beers ice cold. I couldn't be more satisfied with life and myself for blessing myself with this quenched meal! If you're in the area hit it up and don't mind a small wait, it's worth every minute !!!

Tried this place after hearing about it for many years. The fish tacos were very tasty. The shrimp cocktail needed improvement. The shrimp were tiny and overcooked. The place is small, loud and the service is slow. I may return for lunch. It was nearly $60 for a date night dinner. For that price I could've gone to an upscale restaurant and had better food & service. If you're in the lower valley it's worth a try.

The cheese burgers were fine but the fries are hard and have a weird tasteand my stomach hurts more

Found a good seafood spot in the Lower Valley today. Stopped by with my mother in law after shopping at Eastside Nursery. The food was good but the service was terrible.Food: very fresh seafood and generous portions.Chips and salsa were free (very liquidy salsa with a bit of a kick and heavy on the garlic powder).We ordered the 2 platter special (soup, shrimp cocktail, and shrimp platters) for $27. The soup was basically a borscht (tomato based veggie soup). The cocktail was really good, from the size I thought I would get 2 shrimps but somehow they fit 6+ the cucumbers etc in that small cup! The plate had a small salad with no dressing, a fully buttered baked potato, garlic bread and rice with shrimp on top. The shrimp was really really good, moist, buttery, and garlicky. The horchata was one of the best I've had in El Paso so far, perfect amount of ice, not too sweet, creamy, a touch of cinnamon, and not gritty. They had a lot of items on the menu.The service basically was non existent. We waited for 10 mins to even be acknowledged that they would seat us, even though there was an open booth and chips/salsa/menus there waiting. We still needed to wait to be seated as the sign said. After catching 3 different waitress eyes, one finally came and told us to sit there. It was awkward because others who came after us were immediately seated. Same with service, we ordered drinks and food at the same time to make it easier on the waitresses but they forgot our order and kept coming back to ask us what we ordered even though they wrote it down. The 3 groups of 2 and 3 people that came after us got their food immediately and actually paid while we were still being served our soup. It was maddening and my mother in law was pissed because once she spoke Spanish to them, they got their act together (I was the one ordering at first). No apologies for the service, but it improved after she spoke. Would I come back again? Probably not. I wish the service matched the food. The food is good but there are a lot more places nearby which will have good food and great service as well and you can still #supportlocal

Delicious all around. That little soup u get at first is so full of flavorthat i could've just gotten a large and have been completely satisfied. I got the combination fish and shrimp a la mexicana it comes with rice, a baked potato and salad. It was huge and so good. Everyone was getting the shrimp cocktail which looked packed and yummy so I'll be trying that next time. I'm glad i went early bcz it was getting pretty full by the time i was leaving which makes me think this is a great go to spot for all your seafood needs. Good customer service but the cashier was a bit moody and complaining about the wait staff. I just figured she was overwhelmed with the full place. I'll definitely be back

We experienced Poor service. We waited 10 minutes for a waitress while others were attending and no one came to take our order so we left.

!!!!! Be carefull ! They charge you $2-3dollars more for each plate. Review your ticket. The cashier said that prices were changed, but the menu has different prices and you go by the menu, not what they decide to charge you. The registration machine charges the higher prices, which means that they charge more to "Everyone " Food is ok, waitress are not professionals nor nice. Not recommended.

Very good service and great atmosphere. We had the shrimp tacos and they we delicious. I like the music they play. Great place to eat seafood.

Marisco was fine. Service needs improvement. It takes a while to get seated, served & to get to pay out.Bring cash it will make it easier.
