Citadel Apartments

i love this place, i get fed every morning at exactly 6:00pm by a lady that walks by with brownies that make me feel good to start off the day.love the place, love the environment, been living here for at least 8 years and ive never had a problem. As a resident of Citadel Apartments, I can confidently say that this community offers an exceptional living experience. From the moment you step through the doors, you're greeted with a sense of modern elegance and thoughtful design.

I would've chosen 0 stars if the review would allow for it. DO NOT LIVE HERE, HIGHLY DISCOURAGE!This is by far the worst complex I've ever lived in. Half the time the pools and "gym" are closed and maintenance is a joke. A few months ago I had a leak in my apartment, they stopped the leak but left all the damages that it caused in my apartment. I've been complaining to them about my neighbor being a hoarder and his apartment smelling of garbage. He sleeps in the hallway outside our doors or blocking the entrance to the building (probably cause he can't stand the smell of his own apartment). Our building now has roach problems (I've been here since January and it was never a problem before) and I've requested fumigation, (although their negligence is a health hazard to the whole building, and we probably need the CDC in here to disinfect) of which has yet to be done. I bought household roach spray and spray it DAILY throughout the hall outside my doorway and in my apartment and I still have roaches in here everyday!! I'm very clean and tidy and this is entirely inexcusable. The light in the hallway is out, and they completed my maintenance request for it, but didn't actually fix the light!? Mind you, I'm a single, woman that lives alone and the safety and security of their tenants should be a priority. Last night a different neighbor was knocking on my door in regards to our other neighbor sleeping in the hallway AGAIN, as he was blocking the entryway door to the building. Despite cleaning and disinfecting my apartment all day yesterday, I've killed 5 roaches this morning alone! I'm fed up with this place not responding to tenant concerns properly or at all. My lease is up in January, but it might as well end now, if they don't get their act together!

Yeah so the office staff was professional and kind (shout out to Leyla) however the pool was often closed on days it was scheduled to be open. And the other pool that should've been open when the other was down would be closed down as well. I just wanted some pool time, ya know? El Paso gets pretty warm. But the thing that really left me scratching my head was the fact that countertops and showers were flippin PAINTED, tub and walls! That's one of the craziest things I've ever seen. So when a surface painted with regular Home Depot paint is exposed to constant moisture such as you would find in a shower, the paint will eventually break down, bubble and begin to peel. I was literally charged for that upon moving out for deployment. Why does one paint a shower? Lol And the paint on the counter tops...if you spill some coffee on there, it stains the paint. They charged me for that too. And again I ask who paints a kitchen countertop? Obviously it's going to stain. Lol I question some of the choices made in maintaining this facility. Would I rent from here again when I return from deployment, probably not. And neither will the other 7 of my buddies who had their own place here. The ARMY barracks are luxury comparatively to this place...and that's saying a whole lot!

This is the worst place to call home.The Citadel Apartments located in El Paso, Texas cares close to nothing about their residents' safety. As crime, violence, and animal cruelty would take place constantly on their property, they never bothered to take responsibilities into their own hands. They would rather put their customers in harms way than take even into consideration the damages they may do to their reputation.On top of that,My apartment was garbage when i first moved in.The carpet was stained beyond belief and i never received any further cleanings as was promised. I was located on the bottom floor, yet somehow my ceiling would leak rain water, and the bathwater of my upstairs' neighbors. As much as I addressed the leaks and the concerns I had my dog and myself, they never fixed them.Even during the pandemic,When we should be social distancing to be safe, the Citadel Apartments somehow still deemed it acceptable for me to live in those conditions.My ceiling leaked from 3 different locations for 5/7 months that I lived there.So why care for an apartment that was given to me in such poor condition? Is that fair?I decided to abandon my lease, because my health and my dog's safety mean everything to me.At this point,I'd rather die in debt in the streets than die because I'm living at the Citadel Apartments.

They don't take care of problem tenants. It's in a good area but the apartments are not as advertised.

First off, the apartments look nothing like they do in the pictures. The counters are literally just painted. Second off, pretty much everyone here is military based and such, therefore these men and women are working for our freedom of speech and religion and so on and so forth. But we can't even put lights on our porch to make ourselves feel comforted or more at home?I paid 900+ in rent I expect better than what I receive. They constantly shut off water as a "emergency" insistence but this happens daily.I've had strangers knock on my door at 10 pm, and that's kind of crazy.When they close to indoor pool for cleaning they lock the gym as well. I will say they work out payments when needed but most apartments will do so.I can't wait to live in a space I can decorate and do as I wish because I pay rent! It won't hurt anyone!

Terrible. Always something broken, shut down, under repair or closed for reno - except anything you report to them that needs fixed. Only care about their money. Go anywhere else but here.

Absolutely love the indoor pool! There's no other properties in El Paso with it! The office staff is amazing and super helpful as well. The property is so beautiful it makes you feel like your in a different city. The maintenance is the best at this property! Thank you for the best living experience!

If I could give this apartment complex a negative star I would. The management here is horrible the apartments are not worth it. If you are ever trying to get in contact with the office for any reason they are never available and never return calls even if you leave a voicemail. The voicemail hours are different from the hours online everything about these apartments are just fucking horrible. Everyone working for the office and the maintenance needs to be fired
