I went to see Sonic the hedgehog 3 on Christmas Day. The theater was so cold I couldn't enjoy myself. Also my seat that I was sitting in wouldn't recline. It was so disappointing especially on Christmas.

Went to see Deadpool with my siblings on 8/5 at the 3:15 pm showing. My siblings are at the age of 14 and 16. To which the girl outside asked for their ids I stated they are kids and don't have ids. I let her know that I am their older sister. Which she claimed that they have to show an id to watch the movie. I turned around and purchased the tickets at the ticket booth inside. The person scanning the tickets again asked for their ids and I told themThe same thing. Except that I was their mom. Being that for the day they were in my care. And my mom was aware we would be going to the movies to watch Deadpool with my other adult sister and husband. We go in purchase popcorn and drinks then get talked to by a a worker stating the girl in front told him that I had said we were siblings and inside that I was their mom. And that they couldn't let my siblings watch the movie because it's against their policy and they aren't with a legal guardian. I offered to have them FaceTime my mother (she was working ) but was declined because the rule is that the parent has to be present. I would have understood had they been alone and tried to purchase tickets .. however felt it was ridiculous to deny us entry because I said I was the older sister outside and then the mom inside. I was also told if I was a legal guardian I had to proof and show some kind of document that said I was a legal guardian.. I felt that was unnecessary because that's personal information. So we got refunded for the snacks and went back outside to refund the tickets. I clarified then .. if I had been a parent are they asking for some kind of birth certificate? And she said no.. I should have just told her I was the Mom from the get go. . I just felt this whole thing was so stupid. By all means if my younger siblings had purchased their own tickets and went on their own I would have understood why they got denied. But me being 36 yrs old. Along with my other sister and her husband who were also adults.. Having to have some kind of proof of their age , legal guardianship was an experience that was unnecessary and then told by the same person that "went and told on me" that I should have just said I was the mom form the beginning was the most dumbest experience I've had at this theater . I will make it a point to go out of my way and not attend there. With an in demand movie being so critical about proof of age and legal guardianship is excessive demands.

Born and raised in EP, I used to come to "Tinseltown" all the time. Now that I live out of town, I stopped by to watch a movie at my brothers request. The movie quality and sound was good. I was very disappointed at the cleanliness of the facility. It made quite uncomfortable.Just something to consider when visiting. If this is dirty, I can't even imagine how dirty it is behind closed doors or behind the concession stand.

So checked out the new X Screen, it was cool. Image quality lacks because the sides are not the same as the main screen. It will be a better concept once they fine tune it. I like that you can order your concessions ahead of time and they will bring it to your seats.

As some of you regular followers of me may know, I've lived in El Paso off and on for the last 18 years (I travel around a lot). I remember coming to Tinseltown back when it was actually still called that. And then...a title was changed, some upgrades were made....and somewhere down the road, this place became awesome sauce! Buuuut...they ain't perfect. Allow me to elaborate.Okay. Let's get the obvious out of the way. Everyone knows the reclining lounge seats are bloody amazing! It's like sitting on a bed of popcorn (okay, probably not as awesome as it sounds, but....j-just go with it, k? okay.). There are PLENTY of screens, plus reserved seating is a thing here. So, you'll never have to concern yourself with breaking your neck being stuck in the front row because you arrived at the movie ten minutes after previews on opening night. But...but....I haven't even gotten to my favorite part yet..This particular movie theatre (yes, that's how I'm spelling it. Come @ me, bruh!) recently upgraded their ticket scanners. So basically, they actually f*cking work now! That's right! No more painstakingly inputting your ticket number by hand that you pre-ordered online ahead of time. I'm sorry, but I just don't feel the folks who thought ahead to mobile order their tickets should be punished for it like they are on the East Montana location. Yep. I'm calling them out because Tinseltown (far as I'm concerned) is everything the East Montana theatre should be, and then some! Seriously, why the eff can't we get some MOTHER FLIPPIN' RECLINING CHAIRS AND FUNCTIONAL SCANNERS in Eas-- *breathes deeply and slowly*... sorry. Hot button issue. Almost lost it there. Anyways..With all this damn near acolyte-level praise, you're probably wondering why I don't grant Tinseltown a perfect score. The answer may shock you, for it's not something a lot of people bother to consider. It's their extended food menu. Not that it's not good, per se. It's fine...for movie theatre food, anyway. But it's also incredibly over saturated in calories. My Gawd!! Literally two thirds of the menu items are easily over a thousand calories! When the Mrs. and I were deciding what to order, we both realized how unhealthy and superfluous the menu here is. The burger meal alone houses 1200 calories! The f*ck?! Even the McDonald's Big Mac meal doesn't have that many calories. And I don't even consider myself a health freak!Despite that glaring shortcoming, Tinseltown remains the gold standard of movie theatres for me and it will always be worth the 15+ minute drive from my house until or unless the East Montana location gets their shit together and starts doing some serious upgrading. Tinseltown, you get 4 plushy reclining lounge chairs that feel like how we imagine sitting on popcorn would seem out of 5.

One of my regular movie theatres in EP!!Food, Starbucks and movies! The seats are so comfy I really like them and I've never had any bad situation with a screening or anything I also like that here is where I usually come for special screenings on new upcoming movies!

Is this place even a movie theater? Daycare?!! We decided to watch IT tonight and OMG we should've definitely gone to another theater or maybe stayed at home! The movie started at 7:25pm but we arrived at 6:45pm so that we had enough time to get snacks and good seats. The parking lot was full and so we parked towards the back. Umm, yes the back by Logan's steakhouse to be exact... wish I was kidding. We walked up to the ticket booth and the madhouse begins. The lines were long but at least the employee was friendly when she gave us our tickets. We get inside and it was a zoo. To the left there is a cafe area with RUDE employees and they sell your typical fast food. Burgers, chicken tenders, pizza, and fries to name a few. I even saw some weird Hot Cheeto concoction, gross. Next, comes the bar area where a small cup of beer (like a red Dixie cup size) will cost you $8. You then proceed to the regular concession stands, where they have your typical movie theater junk food. (Popcorn, sodas, icees, nachos, hotdogs, etc) Prices are high but hey that's at every theater..Lines were long everywhere and by this time it was 7:10pm. I decided to go in into our movie room and find us two seats while my husband got our food. I walk on in and to my surprise IT WAS PACKED. I scanned around looking for two seats and luckily I found some towards the top. I sat down and waited for the hubs to come back with all the goods. It's now 7:20pm and huge crowds of people were still coming in. Why are they still letting people in if there ARE NO MORE SEATS?!!!I rapidly regretted my choice of seating thanks to the little kids sitting behind me. (Little as in like 13-14 year olds) The ENTIRE movie they sat there giggling, whispering, CUSSING, and just acting like morons. This movie is rated R, shouldn't they be at home doing HW?.... Here they were being disrespectful talking about how they were going to sneak into another movie after this one... ugh facepalm. Why were kids this age even allowed into this rated R movie? Someone's clearly not doing their jobbbb... Or where are the parents?! I saw people sitting on the floor, standing along the walls, and people sitting on the stairs since there were NO MORE SEATS LEFT!! This was so concerning as that is such a hazard! Never in my life had I seen anything like this hott mess. Why would they show this movie in such a little room if they know it just came out?!!!... Skip this place. It's a total nightmare. I saw things that I had never seen in any of my theater experiences.Oh and if you do decide to risk it and come here, come like 5 hours BEFORE your movie starts to get good seats... or you can sit on the stairs lolOhh harkins theaters I miss you..

So i had many a Cinemark theaters in my lifetime to say this.... Best Cinemark by far!! Perhaps it was the automatic reclining, leather seats in our sub theater... Perhaps it was the Pop Swank merch they offered...perhaps it was the $2 delicious and surprisingly decent priced churros from their Bistro which had decently priced food items...perhaps it was their majestic looking, newly added bar to the side... Not sure which part was my favorite, but put it all together, you have yourself an outstanding cinematic adventure here!!! I wish we had checked out the arcade too since it looked very promising too from afar. But even without knowing, i can easily say that we may find reason to come out to the far eastside just to watch a movie, get more decently priced fast food to enjoy our movie with, and a nice adult beverage! In comparison to Alamo drafthouse which i have always loved and always will, Cinemarks food prices just may be a tough competition. Cannot wait to come back!

My last experience here was a bit odd, but that being said it didn't really influence me wanting to change my review for Cinemark. What really made me want to update my review is the fact that I don't feel as though this Cinemark (no longer a Tinseltown Cinemark) has kept up with the times... although I do think it has some modifications coming.Overall this is a very typical movie theater with exception to the fact that they have a small bistro type area. Walking in you can go straight to ordering the normal movie theater options or you can take a left and go to the bistro and order more dressed up items that you can also take into the theater... but you do have to pick up your own food since they don't deliver. It did look like they were planning on opening up a bar area off to the side of the popcorn/candy/soda check out area so that might influence my review in the future. The theater chairs are in great condition, but they aren't my favorite when I'm comparing them to the Cinemark on Remcon that offers automatic reclining chairs (and that's a regular Cinemark) and the Cinemark Bistro that offers huge vinyl chairs with small trays that are like sitting in a cloud. It's all relative because when I'm considering the fact that I'm paying the same price for the movie thickets, I kind of want to be in a super comfy chair for two hours. This Cinemark is a good theater and I think they have some things planned for the future so I'll keep my eyes on them. They just have a lot of competition (even among other Cinemarks) so choosing this location over another means that it was probably the closest to me at the time or the only theater showing a movie I want to see.

Longest lines for concessions.. employees work like if they are miserable. Super slow show no urgency. U end up missing about 20 mins or more of ur movie for being in the line. Horrible don't think I will be spending my money here anymore.
