Cielito Lindo Mexican Restaurant

The ratings for this restaurant were higher on Yelp than Google (a very good sign), so I decided to check it out. It's located alongside the freeway in front of an old hotel. The place is rundown looking inside and definitely not a choice for date night, but the food is very good. I ordered the green chicken enchiladas which are served four to an order with beans and rice. They were very authentic and delicious. The chicken tasted and looked like it was all white meat and the sauce was homemade using jalapenos, not tomatillos. My husband ordered Red Gorditas which were very good. The ground beef was the best, but the chile verde was also very good. The brisket gordita fell a little short because it tasted like bbq and neither one of us was a fan.The iced tea was fresh and the free chips and salsa were good with a mild spiciness, although a bit too garlicky.The one really big negative is the horrible service. The waitress that took our order did so with a pukey look on her face. Our meal was delivered by a different waitress and then no one followed up with us our remaining time there. My husband had to flag down someone for a tea refill and then again for a to-go box. So, don't come here for 5-star service, not even 2-star, but do come here for some really good authentic Mexican food.

Hidden Gem with the Best Tasting AUTHENTIC Mexican food. I was in Midland for four days and I ate her three times; it was that delicious! The "Comida Corrida" was very inexpensive and yet so very tasty! The caldo de res, pollo and menudo were so comforting especially during the cold weather! I had flautas, tacos and Chile relleno and they didn't disappoint! The salsa with chips was the real deal! Service was excellent too! This place will leave your tastebuds happy if you are craving Mexican food!

This place has potential, the food was pretty good. However, the staff forgot what we ordered and we had to asked twice to get a glass of ice since the menudo was too hot to eat. The staff was respectful and nice but when we asked if we could change enchiladas instead of the menudo we ordered they denied (in a respectful way) but for me it seemed odd that they wouldn't change it since they haven't served the food when we asked. It seemed is a pretty new restaurant and it can improve on his customer service and to manage their personal a little better. If you go to this place have a little patience to them!

Cielito Lindo is a great little gem! You always hear little hole in the wall restaurants are the best, and that is a correct statement for this place. My family and I went to celebrate a birthday and the food was absolutely wonderful! I ordered a large bowl of menudo. It was very clean and delicious! My husband and son had brisket and carnitas street tacos and said it was the best tacos they had! They were full of meat and came in four. The service was great for us being a big party, and there was only one other person in the restaurant. The atmosphere was quiet and peaceful. It is a small restaurant, but it has some amazing food. I was going to take more pictures, but I started eating and completely forgot.

Great food, great friendly people. I had a beef fajita taco with avocado slices and must say it was very flavorful. The meat was tender and the tortilla was home made. I was shocked with the size of it, it was more of a burrito size. Luckily I only asked for one. I was leaving room for desert. I ordered the sopalpilla, also very very delicious. It was served with syrup and a sweet butter of some sort. Make sure you order one if you visit. It's located near a few hotels, it's not a big fancy place, but it was my only option in walking distance, I was not disappointed , the inside was bright and clean. The staff was very nice and attentive. Enjoy

Absolutely one of my favorites in Midland. The place doesn't have the nicest decor nor is it located in a good spot but the staff is super friendly and the food is some of the best in Midland and Odessa.

They have FALSE advertisement on there menu, first of all. The Jamaica drink is so watery. We had 3 breakfast plates 2 under $10 another one for $13. 2 drinks one coffee, $53 but they charged $55.00 ... they rounded off. We still tipped. The waitress was putting on her make up while she waited for the order and didn't come to ask if we wanted more coffee. Another waitress stepped in.... All over all, bad all. We will NEVER go back, we should had went somewhere else.

You guys are worried about that wrong things. Just because I'm a girl I didn't get great service but them men did and got looked like it was some competition weird ass. I was unhappy with my order and so I decided to pay for it and order something else. looking at me straight in the face and took my order and never even placed it. Then wanna turn around a talk about it to your coworker. Ignorant.

This place is good but you have to be careful what you order. Some items are a hit or miss. The caldo is good, the tacos are good, the enchiladas are just ok, the red corn gorditas are good too, the breakfast chilaquile plate is good, the menudo is not good...it tastes chewy and kinda bland...like when its re-heated. The breakfast pork chops are not good. So order something safe and if you like spicy ...ask for the bottle of green salsa...you have to ask for it. But with anything you order ...ur going to pay around 15 dollars.
