Chico tacos "3 tacos"

Pulling up to Chico's Tacos, it looks like your typical hole-in-the-wall spot--nothing fancy, just a simple, old-school vibe. I've heard a lot about this place, so I had to check it out for myself.First Impressions & ServiceWalking in, it's straight to the counter to order, but the customer service wasn't anything to brag about. They weren't rude, but they definitely weren't trying to make you feel welcome either--just taking orders and moving on. One thing that caught me off guard was that they don't take debit or credit cards--it's cash-only. So if you're planning to go, make sure you've got some cash on you, or you'll be making a quick trip to an ATM.The FoodNow, let's talk about the tacos. The Chico's Tacos combo comes with rolled tacos swimming in this red tomato-based broth, topped with a ton of shredded cheese. Honestly, it doesn't look that great, but I've learned not to judge food just by how it looks. You also get two sides of green chile salsa, which helps add some heat.Taste-wise, it was okay--definitely different from your usual tacos. The broth makes the tacos soft, almost like an enchilada, and the melted cheese adds a good flavor. The green chile is what really brings it together, giving it that spice it needs.Final ThoughtsWould I go back? Probably. It's not the best tacos I've ever had, but it's a solid, filling meal, and I get why it's a local favorite. If you're expecting crunchy tacos or something more traditional, you might be caught off guard, but if you go in knowing what to expect, it's worth trying at least once. Just bring cash, don't expect top-tier service, and be ready for something different.
