I know the outside can look a bit deceiving but do not be deceived. Not only is it really cute to look at inside, the food is very delicious, very good priced, and they feed you well, the two owners here are everything good and very sweet and patient even though I can't speak Spanish well. Me and my girlfriend paid around 20 dollars for us both. I will be absolutely coming back

One of our favorite restaurants is in Canutillo, Texas. We visit it several times a month. Enroute we pass by this tiny little off highway hole in the wall called Chevos Kitchen. In the hundreds of time we have driven by, I rarely give it more than a quick glance as we proceed to our destination. For such a small town Canutillo has a large number of eateries, big and small. Today we headed to another favorite breakfast spot in Las Cruces, NM. Due to heavy interstate construction we took the back roads, again driving past Chevos. As we passed I jokingly told my wife we should stop there one day, just to say we did it. We laughed and continued. Arriving in Las Cruces we found our diner's parking lot overflowing.after three round trips looking for a spot we decided to find a different place. Our second choice was closed for repairs and we had no interest in a chain so we headed home. On the way we discussed a couple of our favorite haunts and thought, what the heck, let's try Chevos. We can always change our mind if we don't like what we see. I looked it up in Yelp and read some amazing 5 star reviews. Pulling into the tiny gravel parking lot, I wondered what kind of bad decision I had made. WOW! There is no way I could have been more wrong with my early impressions. Chevos is the picture perfect mom and pop hole in the wall. It is small with a cozy atmosphere, and the friendliest people you could ever hope to meet. The customer service alone is a 5-star rating. Now, let's add in some very good made from scratch food and you have a palace fit for kings and queens. Chevos is a must try. Do not be deterred by the facade. What looks like a shack on the outside is just the beginning to a wonderful experience of good food, very reasonable pricing, and as mentioned before, some of the nicest people you could hope to meet. It's a fair drive for us but I have no doubt it will be part of our routine. Today was Huevos Rancheros and enchiladas montada. Next trip will be the Cowboy skillet.

Stopped in here because my stomach was rumbling and I was craving something authentic. The people working there were extremely friendly and bilingual which is amazing. The menu was full of delicious , reasonably priced choices . I had trouble deciding but finally landed on the Huevos Rancheros. I could hear and see and SMELL my food being prepared. It came out piping hot and I couldn't wait to dig my fork in. It was savory and better than I expected from a hole in the wall. Come here try it out . Support local business.

Great food! Homemade taste. The place may look simple from the outside, however, it is a hidden gem! Chevo is the owner and has a very pleasant and welcoming personality. He will make you whatever you want-there are no limits! If it's not on the menu, he'll customize your food to your desired appetite. The restaurant is very clean and the prices reasonable-give it a try and you'll like it!

Whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner, eating at Chevo's is a unique and very enjoyable experience. The family-owned restaurant is small but immaculate and very welcoming. Chef Chevo and his wife make sure every patron feels at home, and they will readily accommodate any dietary needs or preferences. What sets this restaurant apart from others of its kind is the friendly, efficient service. And the food is excellent! They serve traditional, authentic Mexican food, which is prepared from scratch with fresh ingredients. In addition, every Friday, they have a special which features chicken, brisket or fish, accompanied by soup or salad, homemade mashed potatoes or rice, vegetables, bread, dessert and a drink. The chicken marsala special is my favorite, but they are all great. We often stop in for breakfast, and my husband loves the huevos rancheros. You won't be disappointed! Oh yes, they also cater.
