Castilleja Apartments

This has been the worst apartment complex I've ever lived in. The units are overpriced, especially for third-floor apartments. The living spaces are small, and things tend to break easily, with maintenance taking a long time to respond. The gate system is particularly confusing for guests--especially at the entrance on the Pellicano side--where both gates are labeled for residents and guests, despite only one being meant for guest access. Utility costs are consistently rising. Additionally, management's claim that they will handle repainting if you patch holes from wall mounts is misleading. Overall, I would not recommend renting here; it's an experience you'll likely regret.

I moved here and shortly after moving in, I was needing to get my own place and not with my boyfriend. Jennifer was very helpful in getting me a place and quickly. Unfortunately, after getting the new place I was offered a new job in another city here in TX. Jennifer was amazing in helping me get my deposit and rent back due to the fact I didn't move into the new place. The maintenance guys were very good and helpful. I enjoyed the time I did live here and the location of my apartment.

Do not rent here. I travel professionally usually staying in a city for 2-3 months. I rented this place on a short term 3 month lease. In the 7 years I have been traveling I've never ran into a more corrupt poorly managed apartment complex. This place desperately needs new management. See to her/their google reviews.

If you love animals, do not choose this place to live. There are some feral cats that roam the area. Since you are not allowed to remove them by law, you can have them fixed and put back in the area. It seems that instead of following the law, someone is killing them. There have been many feral cats around there that have been poisoned. So beware that their is one or many cruel people living at these apartments. There needs to be consequences for the people who hurt these animals. I will be following up with police to see if they can get camera footage. This place will be going down.

They will choose to not let you terminate your lease even if you follow the directions and give a 60 days notice to move out! Worst customer service ever. Only rent from here if you have no intention of moving out.I will be looking into legal action because this experience has been bullshit. They say one thing and then claim that it never happened once you call again. I have the email receipts and they claim they never received it. If i could give 0 stars, I would.

I've been a resident at Castilleja for about 10 years. They've changed management at least twice. They continue to provide good service and keep the property clean and orderly. The staff has always been friendly and very helpful.

If I could give zero stars I would but google doesn't allow that. Do not live here and do not waste your time. I am giving my honest review/ experience living there . It was absolute crap living here. Constant noise at the pool at 3 am while tenets do not respect quiet time. The dog park was absolutely sh**. Dog poop every where and fleas also. People don't respect the covered paid parking spots and beer cans on the grass after their night out. During covid , tenets would bring the whole family, a family of 6 that do not live there to the pool while the office said " do not bring guests". But people don't listen like always. Office staff do not give any fines or notes and are always clueless of what to do. We have tried contacting the office about all the issues but they don't give an absolute damm about it. So please, DONT LIVE HERE. IT IS NOT WORTH IT.

I lived here for a year and I am disappointed about all the aspects of the apartment complex. The apartment was very dirty when we first moved in the carpet was disgusting there were black stains all over, the walls were stained. Mold was even growing on both our windows. I hired a carpet cleaner to clean the carpets and washed the walls. My deposit was not returned because they supposedly had to paint and clean when the apartment was disgusting when we moved in. The apartment manager, Jennifer is rude. Instead of hearing the complaints she fights and raises her voice when she even decides to return your phone calls. I was threatened in the apartmemt because an individual thought we towed his car, which we did not. Management did absolutely NOTHING to help. Did not even call to make sure us or our property was fine. According to their website they are a luxory community but that is completely false advertisement. Management is rude and has the worst costumer service ever, I did not yell at her yet she decided to yell at me. Please read all the reviews before deciding to live in the community. See the apartment before you sign the contract they show you a nice apartment when in fact the aparement you will be living in is in gross conditions.

Great people in the front office. Nice apartments. The problem I had was the tenants not picking up their dog's poo. Its everywhere. Bags are provided but not used. There are only two dedicated child play areas and tenants let their dogs poo in the child play areas. It was infuriating that my little daughter was always getting poo on her. Seriously, the poo is everywhere, even on sidewalks. People don't even have the decency to take their dogs in the grass, they just let their dogs dump right on the sidewalks. Management will not address offenders and will not task any staff to clean it. It just stays on the sidewalk until it decomposes.

Go to google to check out the real reviews of these apartments. There aren't enough parking spots for the amount of apartments they have. The maintenance takes forever to come to to do the work orders. The apartments are cheaply made and you can hear everything your neighbor is doing.
