Carol Wheeler Dog Park

This is not a very large park, but they have runs for both big and small dogs. When traveling from Florence AZ to Alb NM this was a nice stop along the way to let the three campers out for a stretch. There is more dirt than grass here, so your puppets may come away dirty but they'll be happy for a break from the road.

This dog park is fabulous. It has three areas: large, small, and single dog, so even anti-social dogs can enjoy a leash-free romp. The fences are 8 feet high! There are nice benches and the best part-- there's grass! Like lush beautiful grass. Most dog parks are just dusty wastelands. This is the best park we've found so far.

Thanks to Carol Wheeler and all of the volunteers for their diligent work in maintaining this dog park. This is a great place for travelers and locals alike to exercise their dogs. There are three areas, one for larger dogs, one for smaller dogs, and an area where your dog or dogs can be separate from other dogs. Water and doggie bags are provided. Please be kind and follow all posted rules and pick up after your pet(s).
