Cantina La Coa

First impressions are that the inside of Cantina La Coa is inviting. They have excellent chips and flavorful and spicy salsa options as well as great happy hour drink specials served in cantaritos (clay mugs)! SO cute! My Paloma was really good. I had to do my best not to drink it all right away!I ordered the Gordita plate and was pleasantly surprised that I could mix and match them so I ordered one of each (ground beef with potato, red and green chile). I don't have a bad thing to say about Cantina La Coa. My meal was top notch. They also serve all day breakfast and host a mariachi band on Friday nights.

So excited to have a great Mexican restaurant in this side of town! Its about a mile away from Utep, and they have great parking space. During weekdays they have daily "comida corrida" specials which include an ice tea, entree (selected by the restaurant) and a desert. Their tostadas and salsas are amazing! So far I have only tried the red meat enchiladas and loved them. Spicy and great portion! Cannot wait to be back.

The place is gorgeous! The patio is a must a Mountain View and you can watch the cars down Mesa .I had chilaquiles they were good! Loved the green sauce the most so yum!Must come back for happy hour!!

Decor: 10/10 Food: 7/10The place is really pretty. And they market it as authentic Mexican food. But their menu is nothing but BASIC. It is more of a texmex aThan Mexican restaurant. I wish they had more unique dishes for breakfast. The coffee... don't even waste your money. It is not worth it.

This is a cute little place with your typical cantina decor. It has family casual seating with a view of the hotel pool next door and also has a little bar area with outdoor seating. Our waitress didn't have the best English but was extremely nice and we got everything we asked for! The food was very good and had great flavor, overall I was happy with our breakfast!I would also like to add I'm not sure if these two businesses are combined or rebranding, the sign outside said good coffee but the menu said Cantina la coa

I give this place a 10/10! We had a surprise birthday party for my friend, and the hostess was so sweet she helped us decorate. The food was amazing, and so was the service. Please check it out! You won't regret it. :)

Food = AA Service = AAA Ambiance = almost none. We were the only ones there. I would return nonetheless

I have usually like the food here, but I have noticed that the quality has gone down tremendously. Last weekend we bought two burritos which were super salty. We decided to give this restaurant a try again this weekend. We went in instead and got two burritos. We had asked for beans and eggs instead, they brought mostly potato burritos. When we went in, we were the only clients in there and this was around 9 AM on a Saturday and still the service was super slow.

Food and service were both great. Felt like I was right back home. The taste food taste is always consistent while still giving the ahthentic Mexican taste. The place is amazing.

Have been here twice now. The first time we came, we were charged someone else's bill who was higher than ours but was told they could not void it. I went there today hoping to change my opinion from last time and was sadly more disappointed than last time. We waited a while for our server to greet us just to tell us 15 minutes later that she was transferring our table to another server. Our appetizer never came out until we asked so I guess they forgot about it. A steak (which I probably shouldn't have ordered at a Mexican restaurant), came out well well done when I asked for medium rare. And when we went to pay he added EXTRA food onto our check and made it 50 dollars more expensive. He told us he was the manager when he wasn't and they still couldn't void any food off of our check. They need a new system or something if they can't void anything.
