Oliver!
My Lola checking at Calista for follow-up after night in doggo ER.
Pentu had good treatment at Calista until last week. Vet said he needs to lose 15 lbs! Did the vet notice bone structure?
What would Pentu look like if he managed to starve off 15 lbs?

My long haired cat had an abscess rupture, that I didn't even see was there. I called several places, and quickly realized that I needed an emergency visit. Calista told me to come right away after explaining what the charge for an emergency visit would be. Didn't matter, I didn't want my kitty to suffer! They took him right in while I completed the paperwork. I'm new in town, so I do not have a veterinarian yet. I do now. They had him evaluated and told me he did have an abscess that had ruptured, but they had shaved the area, evaluated if it was in need of additional care, cleaned the would and felt he would be best served with antibiotics and an anti inflammatory to help him get comfortable. He is home, doing well, and I plan to use them for future care.

Very impressed with this Vet! Took our puppy to get his first shots and they gave us a welcome puppy package that included one month of heart guard and one month of flea meds. The vet we saw was very friendly, attentive, took her time and they didn't make us wait long at all.Since then we have had our puppy medically boarded since he doesn't have all of his shots yet and we had trips already planned. They are very attentive to our dog and made us feel very comfortable that our dog was being taken care of like their own. Prices are very fair and comparable, even better, than other animal hospitals/vets in the area.

Super vets, we like Dr Mattanis but any of them will take care of your fur baby. Vet techs are either really nice or down to business. Either is fine as long as they are nice to my little dog. So it's a 4 star vet clinic. My review is concerning their intake and release.**Update**Their customer service when inboarding has really taken a beating during the pandemic. Before you could sit in the cool waiting area and they knew you were there. Then when the pandemic took away going inside, they met you at the entrance to the parking lot, took your name and info and placed a laminated page on your windshield with time and reason for being there. Not ideal..but smart. Things moved pretty good with that method. Now you pull into the parking lot and someone comes to your car window almost immediately. You can go in with your baby. Just one person goes in. It's not ideal but it's better than my furry baby going in alone. This is a very busy vet clinic. It can take up to three weeks to get a regular appointment. But I was happy when my little buddy hurt his back leg...he's a senior baby...they managed to get him in to be seen that afternoon.I've never had a vet tech that wasn't sweet to us and their office staff is competent and caring.

The Manager named Ashley has been very rude to her co-workers on a number of occasions. I have been coming to this Animal Hospital for a few years now, never had a problem or saw anything this this. Ashley talks down to the employees and is just snapping at them. The new girl Lexi is so sweet and so is the front desk staff.

I have been using their services for my dogs for decades. I've even recommended Calista AH to my family members for their own pets. Recently over the past 5 years or so I have not seen the same care that I was used to in this facility. Now I'm trying to order medicine for my dog. I'm used to them trying to get me to order these meds through them but I was always able to get a better deal online. Still they used to approve the meds straight away to these online markets. That is until lately. Recently through the years it's been getting worse trying to get Calista AH to go ahead and approve these med sales. It's been over a week and the online merchants are emailing me stating that they've tried contacting Calista AH for approval and have not gotten anywhere. I tried calling them last week to see if they can get on it. They said they would. I just got another email today saying that they still haven't gotten through to Calista AH. I called again and got another "Oh we'll have the vet get right on it" response. I'm at the point of just looking elsewhere for animal services. Shame.

I had a dog named tiki I took him in for an emergency Check up. He got bit by an insect and this hospital had missed diagnosed my dog and told me that he was high by his reactions and they racial profile me by the way I look ,stating that the dog may be high ..but my dog was never high and my dog end up dying two weeks later and they had no remorse ..This hospital is the worst for animals. They guess and assume just by looking at any animal they know the Diagnostics instead of checking them properly.. this animal hospital should be shut down, and their license should be suspended and revoked Due to the death 60% of animals that come and get checked here .. it's facts I did my Research.

I have been going to Calista for several years, and the service has recently gone very downhill. I took my dog in recently to be seen. We were not seen until 45min past her appointment time. The vet said she would call in a few days with her blood test results. I called consistently during the following two weeks requesting a response. When I received a response, it was not the vet, but her assistant, who told me they weren't sure what was wrong and maybe I should try Googling her symptoms. During my most recent scheduled appointment, I waited 55 minutes before having to return to work without being seen. Talking to other clients, it has apparently become the norm to wait around an hour past your appointment time to be seen. Due to these circumstances, it does not feel like my pet or I are valued here, so time to try somewhere else.
