Cafe de Mesilla

This is a great stop while traveling. Warm, welcoming, beautiful rooms and outdoor patio. Outdoor there are airy large tables with umbrellas. We love the art, tasty food, warm welcome here.The pesto panini , spicy Posole soup, enchiladas with beans, salad and Spanish rice... All are fantastic. So glad we visited. This is perfect relaxation spot. Come and enjoy!

Service was a bit slow, but they were busy. Lovely atmosphere inside and out. Inside is decorated with a lot of polish pottery, and owner is very knowledgeable about it and loves to share her passion. At the tables outside you can hear each other, and difficult to overhear other patrons. Inside is a bit noisier. Dogs allowed outside.Food was good, large entrees. Came her for lunch. This place seems like it would be amazing for a day time date. It's charming and intimate. Also good for "special" parent-child outings or catching up with an old friend.

Absolutely a must try!! Cozy, unique and relaxing. Enjoyable moments with conversation while the tranquility of water cascading as a backdrop. Joyce is such a pleaser and holds a conversation that makes you feel welcome from the start. Your loss if you don't make time for this lovely place . First time visit to this restaurant and not likely to return. Hardly anyone there and the owner was extremely inattentive. Never asked if we wanted something besides the water she brought when we sat down. Then after one of us had to flag her down and request a drink she just left and never asked the rest of the table if they wanted something as well. Never checked in to see how the meal was going. Never came back with the check so we just went towards the exit and then she saw us and took payment. The menu looks really good, but our food was mediocre as well. Only positive is it is adorable outside and in. VERY disappointing experience. :(

Comfortable colorful ambiance. The attentive owner has great taste- in both artwork and in the preparation of tasty meals. We will gladly come back. Especially loved the Posole soup, served piping hot with all the fixings. There are 2 different soups to choose from- I selected the Green Chicken !

Delicious breakfast and lunches. I'm allergic to eggs so I was delighted to see they carry a vegan ranchero option. The little patio outside is pleasant in good weather.There's also a small shop with various handmade and imported items, including punched tin statues and paintings by local artists on the walls, many for sale. Also a small book section.I've never had a bad meal there, and it's a favorite spot for friends to meet.

Owner was very rude . Felt unwelcome as soon as we walked in . But when someone of lighter skin color walked in she was talkative . You love our Hispanic culture but don't seem to like us .... Interesting !
