When they're Open...they're Packed! Due to COVID-19, no indoor dining and only open Thurs-Sunday for take-out only.So how's the pizza?? It's pretty damn good! For Van Horn it's the best pizza in town in my opinion. The crust has a good flavor by itself, the toppings tastes fresh, plus it wasn't under/over sauced. Plus you can have a beer or cocktail while you wait at the bar. If you don't call your order in advance, you will definitely be waiting at the bar or in your car. Like I said When they're open, they are ALWAYS ALWAYS Busy!!

Hate to do this, but had a totally unacceptable experience here. Ordered takeout. They told me 45 minutes. So I went after 45 minutes. It took me 5 minutes to actually talk to someone. She checked on my order in the kitchen and said she was sorry but it would be at least another hour. What? Made no sense. I will say she was nice. But still I will never be back. I had a car full of hungry kids and we left with them still starving.

After a hot day swimming at Balmorhea (and in advance of climbing Guadalupe the next day), my girlfriend and I were in need of mass quantities of carbohydrates (shout out Beldar!). We popped into Cactus Cantina in Van Horn, and let's just say we had the most amazing time. What a bar! Great sports on the television screens, friendly bartenders, and an incredibly eclectic crowd (including some very interesting people who work at the local aerospace organization). The appetizers were fantastic, the perfect sports pub greasy snack. The bar had a very broad selection of everything, and I even had two shots of liqueurs I had never previously tried. The wonderful finale of the evening was a large pepperoni and jalapeno pizza we took back to our hotel across the street: magnificent! Great bar, guys, stay cool.

Cactus cantina is a small bar/restaurant found in little Van Horn, TX. They advertise that they have the best pizza in town and they really do compared to the only 2 competitors. The appetizer sampler was mediocre/below mediocre but the pizza really was yummy. Would recommend getting to go and enjoying in your hotel, service is extremely slow.

We were going to eat there tonite. Yelp said it was open. But it's not. Not sure if it's permanently closed or not. It was completely dark

Bartender was too busy taking shots herself to make customers drinks. Ambiance was decent otherwise and server did great taking care of the whole place on her own.

This is a great place for some food and drinks after work. Salad and wings were delicious

The pizza was excellent and the thin crust was delicious! We had a house salad too-also good and there is a full bar. Hubby had an old fashioned and was very pleased with it.

It says open till 10pm. Arrived at 9:30pm"Sorry we're closed",says the hostTerrible. I would give it 0 stars if I could

Called in a takeout order. They said it would be ready in 45 mins. Got there at the 45 min mark and they said it would be another hour. With two hungry kids in tow and no chance of making it another hour, I had to cancel the order. If you're too busy to fulfill orders, then don't take them in the first place.
