As stated in another review--you can see the lake..........from a distance. The woman who owns this expects you to drop everything at 4 pm to go eat her hor deurves, sit and drink with her, and if you don't drink--bring a water bottle. If you don't go, she becomes rude to you. I don't like places where someone makes it "mandatory" to stop what you are doing and go hang out for a while with others. The sites are small, but the park is clean. It just wasn't a place we liked is all. She also doesn't care for dogs. If you like your "martini's" and that kind of stuff this is the place for you.

Very clean and nice park. All pull-thrus with gravel. Can see the lake. Price is great. We stayed in October for $15 plus elec for a grand total just under $20. The owner lives on the property and has a Happy Hour on back porch every afternoon. Also there's a guest house with bedroom & complete bath for $30 a night with a better rate if more than 1 night. Easy on and off I-25 at exit 59. Pass the state parks and go to mike marker 22. That is the entrance to park. You will see the RV's and signage.

We stayed here one night at the Palomino area which had full hook ups (there's only 7 so we got lucky and got the last one). It's got a beautiful view of the lake. The boat ramp is nearby. Very quiet and peaceful. We loved this s place.

Our favorite campground in New Mexico. Wonderful hostess and great fellow campers, several return each year like we do.
