The charro beans are on point and the side salad is also good. I probably eat here 2-3 times a week. Not even joking."

One of the gentleman come out and ask what the footage is going to be used for, and we gladly tell him just a youtube channel. All is good and we go on to order our apps & food. After some delectable TexMex & a few rounds of beers Rudy comes out and asks us how the food is. Overall the service & friendly vibes will bring me back next time I'm in the area."

Joy S. "We had read several positive reviews of this little place and decided to give it a try as we were going through. We started out with complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa had just a bit of kick to it. We were disappointed that they were out of chicken fried steak. The Mexican version of this classic had been recommended in many reviews. Instead, we ordered a chicken fajita plate to share and some ala carte enchiladas and a taco. My cheese enchilada was ok, but seemed a little skimpy on the cheese. The green sauce wasn't the most flavorful either. My husband really enjoyed his beef taco and the chicken enchilada with red sauce though. The fajitas were terrific. The chicken was tender and full of flavor. The pepper and onion strips were cooked just right with a tiny bit of crunch. It came with a scoop of guacamole, rice, beans, sour cream, some cut up pepper pieces that we assumed were jalapenos, and two tortillas. Our server was very apologetic about the chicken fried steak and made some other recommendations for us. I'd love to go back some day and try that steak!"

We didn't make it to the original location but this one didn't disappoint. It was crowded even at 2 pm but we ordered quickly. Order was super fast. The tacos are more what I know as flautas. They come in single order of three or an order of six. If you want to try an iconic El Paso place check this one out."

Everything we had was great! The jalapeño appetizer was homemade and excellent. The mac&cheese was amazing and the steak is worth coming back for. The dining room seating area / divides is kinda an eye sore, but the rest of the decor is pretty awesome. The main bar area is really cool. Definitely worth coming here, I highly recommend and I will be back!"

Husband had chili poblano that he inhaled plus an extra taco that was loaded with beef. Beans and rice were well seasoned. We wanted to lock the plates clean. Sweet tea was not too sweet and hubby's Arnold palmer was great. This is a great stop. We did have the small plates and they were good amount."

I decided to stop on my way back and instantly ordered the Philly Cheesesteak. My mom had the Mexican Combination Plate. My philly cheesesteak was amazing and the peppers and onions in it gave such a great kick. O didn't agree with the bread choice, but still really enjoyed it. The fries have this divine seasoning that also made them some of my favorite fries. My mom's combination plate came with a taco, tamale, chile relleno, gordita, and rice and beans. Only thing she didn't like was the taco and beans. The taco was too crunchy for her, and the beans...well our family is very biased. My grandmother makes the best beans we have ever had so it is difficult to find good beans. The chile relleno we shared because it was too spicy for her. It was perfect for me because I love hot stuff. This is seriously a hole in the wall that definitely does not look appealing at all. Although I have to say the food is worth it and the staff is amazing. The owners husband is also military so they have a variety of decorations honoring military. They even offer a discount to military and law enforcement. Great people and had an amazing talk getting to know them. Check it out, support a small business."

Sheena S. "I was very satisfied with my first experience here at Cabo Joe's. I came here for lunch on my birthday to get some food and drinks. It was about 1pm, on a Tuesday, and it wasn't crowded at all. I am glad my birthday landed on a Tuesday since they had a taco-tuesday special. There is plenty of seating here, and two bars. The waitress Nicole was extremely nice and helpful. I ordered their shrimp tacos along with their fish tacos. The were delicious! I love the toppings they add to their tacos (varies on the type of taco), it gives it a crunch even though they are corned soft shelled. The shrimp taco had bacon crumbles on it, which I found unique but it worked together really well. They have several selections of tacos, and will customize them if need be. On a Tuesday their tacos are only $2.00 and thats for every taco that they offer! They are usually $3.99 each which still isn't too bad for them. As for drinks, I ordered the Coronita (margarita with corona). It was made just right. For happy hour they have margaritas for $2.50 and you can add extra shots for only $2.00. Happy hour is the best time to come cause you'll save a lot and leave satisfied. I love their music selection, and the ambiance looks like it would be fun to bring a bunch of people and mingle. This was an all around great experience. I would say maybe the only room for improvement would be the guacamole and salsa, didn't have much flavor but their chips were on point! I'll definitely be back!"

Marie G. "I was at the Outlet mall and needed to pick up something to take home to eat. I had heard about this place and wanted to see what the hype was all about, so I stopped in. The menu has something for everyone- not a Mexican food lover, well, there are hamburger baskets and fries. I did go for the Gordita stuffed with chunks of pork in a red sauce that was seasoned just right. I did get a side of fries that I will ask to be crispier next time because that is just my preference but the size of the side order was good. I also got a churro- warm and crispy and soft on the inside with lots of cinnamon sugar. Evy was wrapped perfectly so as to not spill or leak and stay warm until I got home. I did not have to reheat anything! The gentleman that was helping me was very friendly and told me about the history of the restaurant and showed me the wall of awards and memorabilia. A few famous faces have dined here including a member of the Eagles, former President Bush and others. Some of their items were featured in Gourmet magazine and they have been a category on Jeopardy! They do have several TVs and all kinds of beers if you want to have you game watch party there- why cook?I am so glad I stopped in and tried this place out!"

Restaurant looked very clean and nice. I ordered a sweet tea (loved their sweet tea!!) and a drink from the bar called a Cinco de Mango and my husband ordered their Bloody Mary. I didn't know what drink to order because the menu didn't describe what the drink was, all it said was the name of the drink so I asked the waitress and she didn't know so she had to bring the bar tender to our table to tell us what the drink was. Although that was very nice of him to come to our table I found it inconvenient. I would've just wanted to see the description of the drink on the menu not just the name of the drink. But all in all the drink I decided to get was very tasty and my husbands Bloody Mary was very good as well. The same issue with the food menu, only the name of the plate but no description, I asked what sides the plate came with since there was no description of what the item was or what it came with (I ordered the steak tampiqueno) and the waitress didn't know. None of the food items had descriptions. It would've been easier to order if we new what some the items were but other than that the food was good."

Yasmin R. "I always see posts asking about good BBQ. Well, I've found it! Move aside simple salt and pepper Texas style BBQ, Papamigos Tex-Mex BBQ is here! A splash of Texas and a sprinkle of Mexican bring this BBQ to over the top flavor town. Yup, I said. I envoked the Guy Fiere-ism. The BBQ is only available Fri-Sun, and it's located inside Fanatics on Montwood and Lee Trevino. The bar is a little divey, but it's clean and spacious. The times we've gone it's never super full, and the micheladas are cold. The bloody Mary's are on point if you like some spicy kick. Papamigos has an extra special Sun brunch yumminess as well. Check out their IG for pics. I haven't tried it, but we've tried their whole regular menu and nom nom nom. Here are some of our favs:The brisket is the most tender I've had. They have an AMAZING brisket taco with freshly homemade tortillas topped with an egg. Sigh! Foodiegasm! The pulled pork is tender and flavorful. It's little pork pillows of bursting flavor. The pork ribs are fall of the bone tender. My husband, an avid griller and smoker, took several mins to say something. That silence spoke volumes! The macaroni and coleslaw salads. These are not your traditional sides. They're light and compliment the BBQ perfectly. The coleslaw is a vinger slaw that is flavorful but light and balances the fattiness of the meats perfectly. The macaroni is this awesome combo of macaroni and elote. It's light and citrusy and comes topped with tajin. Just taste it. None of that heavy mayo mess here. (Trigger warning for mayo lovers.) The salsas are all homemade and have flavor but don't overpower all the smokey flavor they put into the meat. Below are pics of what we had today. The sausage bites and a two meat combo. This was more than enough for two people. Extra special: The place is run by brothers. They are orignially from the Valley but moved to EP. One of them always come out to check on you and ask about the flavor. Some might not like the chit-chat, but we do. It's quite clear they care about the food their making, and the food tastes like the love they put into it."
