Like the security cameras all over the place didn't record me and my car enough, he had to come out and make sure I saw him make a mental note of my license plate. So they get an A for being security conscious, but an F for the execution and attitude.One other note, they have their own special types of locks, so be prepared to pay $20 + a security deposit to get one. That right there was a deal breaker for me...I have so many locks, if I buy one more my wife is going to kill me."

"STAY AWAY. This place is a nightmare. I rented a unit, but it was so disgusting and difficult to even be able to move in that I didn't move in. Your access is limited to only a few hours a day, never past 4 and never before 9 a.m. They clearly do not want people who have jobs as customers. The unit itself has no lights nor does the hallway were the unit is located. Mine was on the second floor, and to get to the second floor, you are required to load your things onto a broken down lift thing that the lowest it goes is 3 feet from the ground. I was told, that's because that's how high a uhaul truck sits. The floor of the unit was also nasty.I didn't even ask for my money back, I just wanted to make sure they didn't continue to charge me. That was a nightmare. The front desk guy says he is not allowed to cancel the contract, I must talk to management, but management is not on site and you cannot have their direct number. Rather, Alex, the desk attendant, has to send them a message to call you. They don't call. This place is a scam. Go to Hwy 70 storage instead. Very clean, professional, well lit, no hassles, and you actually get access to your unit to move in and out."

"I went to rent a storage unit but I was early. I left and came back at 10:03, the security gate was open, I proceeded to look for the facility manager and he was not where on the lot. As I was returning to the office (still closed) a vehicle puled up and it was the manager -- he finally showed up at 10:20. The manager asked what we needed and I said I would like to rent a storage unit. He then proceeded to ask why I was looking around, I informed him I was here at 10am and was looking for him. He complained that I was there before 10am, he saw me there at 9:55! I asked him why he wasn't here at 10 and why the security gate was open. He became upset and didn't want my business. This is unfortunate, because the owner is a nice, customer service oriented. This Manager doesn't care about customers or their things in storage."

"Very helpful and flexible company when I blew a tire. I used our insurance roadside assistance and was assigned one of the only towing/tire companies that would drive the 70 miles to help me. I later discovered the dispatcher on the insurance end told Balmorhea that I needed gas. Thankfully Balmorhea came prepared for all issues and with a little creative use of various jacks, was able to get me back on the road later that night. So grateful that they are willing to drive such a far distance to get stranded motorists to safety."

"This is a truly terrible business. I rented a small storage unit for $35 per month. Within three months, without notification, this company raised the monthly rate for the tiny space to $50 per month. Several months later, again, without notification, the awful, unethical business raised the monthly fee another $29, bringing it to $79 per month. This is more than a 100% increase in fees in one year's period of time. I have reported them, today, with the New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department. They should be closed down and prosecuted."
