"Just a little grocery shop on the westside. Any place that sells real tortillas (not that mass produced American crap that is so thick you can't even taste anything rolled inside) is golden in my eyes. Valley Supermarket has a couple of different brands of tortillas, some produce, a few other products, a butcher section and some hot food available. It's no Pro Ranch Market, but it gets the job done."
"Finally made it here before this place closed. Jerky is solid. There's maybe 2 dozen flavors on their wall and the different flavors will give you a different style of jerky. The garlic one is really dry. The habenero and pineapple is really wet and soft. They make some really, really spicy jerky btw. The habenero was their least spicy and it kicked my butt after swallowing a whole piece. The couple who runs this place are super friendly too. I brought this back to my office and the Soldiers who stopped by and tried some all really liked it. Yep, it's good."
"When I lived in El Paso or even when I visit family now this is the spot for great meat and pre packaged seasoned and marinated briskets ready to cook . They also have fresh bolillo bread and are a small grocery store so you can get veggies, tostadas, beans and other essentials to make a entire feast if necessary. The staff is awesome. this place has been a staple in El Paso TX for a very long time always serving quality meats . If you haven't been here give it a shot next time you have a family gathering or dinner your throwing for friends . Be safe stay healthy and always wash your hands after messing with your meat ."
"I'm a sucker for repeated billboards and "fresh jerky" for the last several miles hooked me. I couldn't fight it and stopped.Homemade jerky and fudge and pecans and pistachios and jams and honey and even olives. I bought a bag of spicy beef jerky and that was my evening snack. It didn't even make it out of Arizona before I'd eaten it.This stop even has a few gas pumps out front. While the store does have regular operating hours, there is a vending machine out front with some of their products. It accepts cash and cards![Review 17491 overall - 78 in Arizona - 1009 of 2022.]"
"Guys, I am so happy right now. Do you know how lucky we are to have a LEGIT butcher shop in El Paso? I've always driven by Coronado Meat Market on the Westside because I've assumed it would be way to expensive for my wallet, but it's NOT. It's cheaper than Costco! So, I've always bought meat from Costco, but since they started mechanically tenderizing everything, even Prime cuts, I've been hesitant to buy more expensive cuts because the prices aren't justified for that grade and you basically have a crap ton of small holes in the meat which can introduce bacteria. We've been sous-viding the steaks so I wasn't too worried since it safely kills bacteria but I wanted to try my hand at reverse searing steak and that definitely doesn't play nice with mechanically tenderized meat. I've also been on the hunt for tri tip. I've only found it already seasoned and marinated at Costco and Sam's but I don't really like how small those were and how expensive they were per pound. I guess it's a California thing because brisket was hard to find in CA but plenty of tri tip was available and here in El Paso, it's the opposite. Well, from the moment I stepped in the front door, these butchers (apparently everyone is named Matt here, so it's easy to remember their names) made me feel so welcome. And when they learned it was my 1st time, they spent time explaining what they had available and giving me samples of their brisket bbq and chile verde beef to try. They had amazing prepped entrees and sides for grab and go meals:-brisket slices -bbq pulled pork -pimento cheese dip -loaded potato salad -cheese potato salad -bbq beans -pies (pecan, apple, cherry, etc) And they have fully stocked alcoholic beverages. They also had hot sandwiches and burritos and nachos. I bought a cheese steak for hubby and the chile verde burrito for myself and it was stuffed with meat! Awesome for less than $4 each! I can see why they had regulars come in and ordering lunch at 1pm! But the meat...$9.99/lb for tri tip, and they cut it and trim to your liking and if you ask them nicely and it's your 1st time, they'll also vacuum seal it for you! Trimmed brisket and whole brisket is the same price as Costco and you don't need a membership AND you can buy what you need! They sell, pork, salmon, venison, bison, gator, duck bacon, kangaroo, and other delicious animals. They also sell bones for pho, caldo, and for bone marrow dishes! I was in heaven. I paid cash and I got an extra 4% off for using debit/cash. Come out and #supportlocal businesses like this amazing one. Their service alone made my day!"
"This Save Mart is a somewhat ethnic supermarket that has mostly Mexican groceries , American and some Asian stuff. They have a good produce and (red) meat section. The prices are not necessarily the cheapest but they do carry packaged foods, frozen & refrigerated, bakery and personal care products. The place is also clean and well lit."
"The menudo is awesome in this place. But really you can't go wrong with anything you order from the restaurant area. The shop is a restaurant / meat market and has an excellent variety of meats and cuts with a butcher on site. Shopping or dining you won't be disappointed."
"I just love the chiles and particularly the barbacoa, which you can order at the butcher. Oh, my! So delicious. They have an astonishing variety of tortillas, ingredients for menudo, and even pan dulce. Just a great stop for groceries for Mexican food in Ysleta."
"Great people. Great service. Great product. I have bought two whole beers from them. Could not be happier. Pork chorizo is amazing."
"I'm only doing this review to let people know how bomb the food is here I have zero complaints. Barron's has been around since I could remember in fact my great grandfather used to shop here, it's an El Paso staple. Some of the best burritos & tortas in all El Paso. My recommendations are the mole burrito , chile verde and the best damn chilequiles in a cup ever! Plus all under $4. Yes it's old yes no one speaks English but that's what makes it Barron's with all the history behind it I hope it's around for much longer."

This place is so underrated! I have to share how awesome this neighborhood market is, first it has an amazing cafe inside the market, this is now our designated Saturday morning breakfast place, the menudo and breakfast burritos are excellent and the service is great! The market is chock full of Mexican groceries with a fabulous meat market and bakery! So delicious with great service! Enjoy!

We've been customers at Eastside Choice Meats since moving to El Paso in August 2017. The meat is always excellent, and the entire team is always happy and friendly! Whether for special occasions like your Thanksgiving Turkey, Christmas Prime Rib, and especially your weekly meats, like pork chops, whole chicken, or steaks, we highly recommend Eastside Choice Meats.

Closest thing to Bucee's you'll find in Bowie, AZ. Come on in! Chat with a friendly local and sample some "fresh" jerky. I asked how it mattered whether or not jerky was "fresh?" It reminds a mystery.

The. Best. Steaks. In. El. Paso. After 7 years of living away from Texas I was super excited to get back and treat myself to a cowboy steak. I've been looking for a steak worthy of being called Texan for 7 months now. Texas Roadhouse, Great American, Cattleman's, ect. I've tried them all. They all disappointed me and honestly the city was disappointing me. (I won't include carne asada in this rant, El Paso has mastered carne asada).Until I got to this butcher shop. OMG I'm in love. We ended up buying 5 different cuts of steak (not cheap but def worth it) and cooked them up ourselves on a gas grill. I will admit we ended up burning one a little (I forgot it was a thinner cut) but it was still 100 times better than any steak I've had in any wannabe upper scale steakhouses in the area. I also ended up freezing 1.5lbs of flank steak and it was still amazing when I cooked it up on an electric skillet 2 weeks later. We ended up spending something under $200 for maybe 6lbs total of different cuts, and yet that was still cheaper than the time we were majorly disappointed at Cattleman's. Not to mention the butchers are very knowledgeable (and super excited) about their craft and their products, I was very confident in my selections because of them. They also offer amazing sides (do get a tub of the potato salad), desserts (those pies are so buttery), and beers. Don't forget the frozen meats also available like kangaroo, alligator, bison, and more. This place is truly amazing.

My parents were visiting from out of town and we were driving by thinking of some quick groceries for dinner we stopped at Save Mart. Being new to this area I had no idea what to expect. I was impressed by how clean their establishment was and the staff was friendly. Unlike "fiesta foods" I will provide my rating for them separately. My parents were able to find what they needed and even expressed how they liked how tidy they kept their supermarket. I would definitely shop here again.

I visit El Paso a couple of times a year, and always come to Flores for breakfast (like every day of my visit). The burritos are really good, and you can see your food being cooked if you sit at the counter. Cook is always super friendly, as well as the cashier (who might be the owner?). My go-to is the burrito de rajas y queso.

"Valley Supermarket is clean and in a great location. I like their ready to eat food, panadería; and overall the accessibility of items needed from a grocery store from a much smaller and convenient place. Wish they carried jicamas. They sell tortillas, pan dulce, tea flowers to make agua de Jamaica. Rice, milk, eggs, etc."
"This place knows how to make authentic Mexican food. Ordered take out today. Let me begin by saying they do not skimp on their servings. I ordered their tacos asada. The meat was so tasty and soft, paired with the salsas and it is out of this world. Beans and rice like my mom made them. My husband and son ordered the Tampiquena. Good size piece of thin steak with a delicious topping of cheese, onions and tomatoe. Served with a delicious red enchilada and of course beans and rice. My daughter had their red enchiladas. The sauce is better than some better known local restaurants. They even gave us a nice serving of their tostadas and salsa. Can't wait till we eat in the restaurant the service is wonderful."
"This review is for Food City's Barbacua from the deli. They sell some really good Barbacua and while you are at the store pick up some chile del árbol to prefect the taco."
"As many of you know, my mother has been on strike for quite some time. Meaning, she doesn't do much cooking these days. Still, I thought I'd take a chance and ask her to make me some enchiladas. Her response, "¡Ay, no, es mucha lata!"Translation, "Aw, hell nah, that's too much work!"I walked away, disappointed, knowing I wouldn't be able to satisfy my craving anywhere here in Austin. Luckily, I was headed to El Paso and luckily my dad had discovered this little gem. They have an expansive menu that's dirt cheap. Gigantic burritos loaded with your choice of meat for $2.50. (No, that's not a typo.) Tacos, aquas frescas, tortas, you name it they've got it. More importantly, though, the enchiladas were great! Tasty red sauce and loaded with cheese. At $5 for 4 of them, beans, rice and a salad, I was able to heartily satisfy that craving and forgive my mom's flojera to boot!"
"Was looking for a place to buy menudo and the line next door to this place was long.. I noticed Mi Tierra has menudo so I decided to try it. I hate waiting in line. I walked in and noticed the place was very clean ! The meat looked fresh ! The produce looked fresh as well !! I took my menudo home and wow !! Tasted amazing ! I just found My new spot. Next time I'll try the steak !"
"Great buffet. The food is fresh and well varied! Tacos dorados, green enchiladas, barbacoa, carnitas, freshly made beans and rice, lots of soups and veggie/salsa fixings!Ive also taken burritos to go from here too. For a great burrito that only costs $1.39 and for fully loaded tortas for $1.99...I cant go on and on enough about these guys!!!"
"This is a neat little grocery with some amazing finds. I stopped here twice while in Las Cruces for work. The selection of premade foods was a little lacking but they all but made up for it in their drink, bakery, and chocolate selections. This store reminded me of a miniature, hipper, Whole Foods. With friendly folks and a fun health food type spin on most of their products. They do have grab and go lunch/dinner options found near the deli which I appreciated. The kombucha selection was almost overwhelming ans I was excited to try so many different kinds! I'll be back the next time I'm in New Mexico for sure! Pro-tip: the chocolate section is near the cashiers toward the front. They have some amazing artisinal chocolates my personal favorite being the Cartel Chocolate made in ABQ. Don't pass it up!"
"Went here on Thursday Feb 7th. Called ahead to make sure they'd still be open as hours are limited. It was my first time so I wasn't sure which sausages to begin with. Personally, am a big fan of flavor and spice. So, bought a package of jalapeño cheddar, chipotle, bacon bratwurst and a smoked sausage. The jalapeño cheddar is really good just be forewarned that it is spicy jalapeño. Also, same with the chipotle sausage is not for the faint of heart. The bacon bratwurst was good, the flavor of bacon came through. The smoked sausage also had a nice smokiness to it.All said and done, can't wait to return to experience the others I didn't get to try! Most sausages are frozen and makes it easier to travel and keep longer if not ready to use."
"Convenient food store off of Hwy 70 that serves burritos and other Mexican cuisine. There's a bakery shelf, meat section, ice cream/popsicles, snacks, nuts and beverages. Nice place for a quick bite."
"The place has great meat for BBQ's. Has an awesome place inside to buy fresh made taco's right in front of your eyes. Loved the place. :)"
"My grandmas favorite! The menudo is always so rich and they are definitely not stingy! You can taste the quality in their meats and marinates. It's family owned and everybody is so friendly, 10/10 recommend."
"We recently drove to Sonoita and stopped at Vera Earl Beef. We bought the bacon and blue cheese burgers. Definitely rated as 5 stars. We will be back. Great customer service."
"Amazing service, very helpful. Cost effective for the quality you are purchasing. They didn't have a cut of meat I wanted yet assured me they could have it by 10 am the next day.Really waiting to throw these in my smoker just today there isn't enough time!"
"First of all, I want to say that this gentleman that runs this place is whole heartedly kind and a sweetheart. We met Ken on the side of the road at his stand. He's open everyday from 9-5 except on Sundays. He's at church on Sundays. We were making our way to Bisbee for the day and saw his big sign for fresh eggs and I turned my Jeep around. I was happy to find freshly shelled pecans, It's a Texas thing, I have to have them when I see them. Come to find out, Ken is from Texas too! I guess Texan knows Texan and instantly felt those good vibes. I should have bought more pecans to go home and bake me a pecan pie but this time I was unprepared with cash... yeah, please bring cash if you stop by. He's got bee pollen, local honey, a variety of flavored pistachios, my favorite, habanero, chili lime, jalapeño, and about 5 more flavors, plain pecans, salted roasted and candied. You can also find the freshest eggs, chicken, duck, and turkey! He is so friendly, informative and helpful. We found Ken by pure accident and I am happy to have met such an amazing human being. He's just one of those good people that are hard to find nowadays that are genuinely honest and kind. If you happen to come this way, stop by and buy some goodies from Ken. Maybe if you get lucky you'll catch a glimpse of his (Cardinal) friend, Jean Arnold. Thank you for eggs Mr. Ken, they were all delicious!"
