"So where to start?? I can't believe I've never wrote a review of my FAVORITE ITALIAN place in EL PASO! I have been coming here for 14 years!! Back when they had the place in MONTANA! I think I just start eating and am transported and I'm in a happy place, I never take a pic or maybe I think it's all my little secret not to share!!?? I dunno, LOL! But I have not had a bad meal here. I have had ONE where The chef got a little heavy handed on the salt on the lasagna once. But that was as close as it ever came to me ever having a complaint. The location on N. Yarborough shares a building with one of those non-gambling game rooms. But once you walk inside... oh you are taken from Hot, dreary, sweaty El Paso to the opulence of Italy. BEAUTIFUL statues, subdued lighting, even upstairs dining up a gorgeous stair way, real napkins and silverware. Italian music playing lightly in the background. The smell of Baskets of fresh baked bread and house makes dipping olive oil winding their way thru the room to anxiously waiting tables of diners. This is the perfect place for a date night. And anniversary or birthday celebrations, a big family dinner. Or just come in and grab an upscale lunch for not a big hit to the pocket book. All made fresh with care and love. Waitpersons dressed formally in Black. A place to have hushed dinner conversation or a joyous happy occasion with good Italian food, drinks and fun. This day I had the lunch special of which they about 20! For only $12 and comes with salad or soup, your choice, Bread and ICED Tea! I got the Fettuccine Gambi e ... OH HECK, I can't ever say it right in Italian, it's basically a fettuccine in a cream sauce similar to Alfredo with medium size shrimps and mushrooms. It's so so SO good and the lunch portion covers a whole platter!! I also had a Caesar salad, though I usually get the seafood soup, which I highly recommend, but I felt like salad today but I ate before I remembered " HEY, take a pic!" The bread was hot from the oven, brushed with butter. And The olive oil for dipping Made in house has whole garlic cloves. Some red pepper, and dried rosemary. It's so good with that bread dipped in or you can fishier some of the garlic cloves and spread them on the bread like butter.. such a treat. Do lunch I'm you are in and out In about an hour maybe an hour and 15 minutes. That's pretty good for a sit down lunch. My waitperson was super attentive, my tea glad never got less than half full before he brought another. Thelma's a wide range of delectable desserts, my personal fave is the old standby, Tiramisu. They do a really good version. With plenty of mascarpone layer... and not too much cookie, I like that. Their dinner menus is also a value die the amount of food you get. I think my dish goes to $17? For dinner and you have to buy your drink extra. But you get about twice as much pasta dish? I don't know where I'd put it!! I'm always stuffed at lunch! Looking for some good Italian and tired of the (OG) one?? Be sure and eat local and go by Trattoria Bella Sera. You won't be disappointed."

The only criticism I have is that when the pasta was served the waiter did not offer parmesan nor was there any on the table. I did ask for it- I am Italian after all- and it was promptly supplied.Overall a great place with lots of wait staff and a well organized kitchen."

"Ok, now I'm sure that Yelp eats some of my reviews. This is my 3rd time writing a review, and its saying its my first. I will say, every time, this is a 5, and not just because they are local. My favorite thing that I order here is the veggie sandwich and the berry tea or the vanilla chamomile tea. When I ate meat, I use to get a side of the tuna pasta, but now I'm sticking to the potato salad. The veggie sandwich has roasted peppers and artichoke hearts on a soft roll. I know people who add chicken to it to make it even more complete. The thing that gives the place that perfect rating is the people who run it. Everytime I walk in, they greet me like family and they always remember my order. Since the amount of orders that seem to go through the doors are high, its amazing how they can remember lil' ol me and my coworkers!"

"My wife and I have returned many times since discoverimg the gem of a restaurant a few years ago. We have literally tried most things on the menu, and it is ALL excellent. My wife and I recently moved from Cape Cod and are familiar with excellent Italian food from Bostons North End and Providence, RI Federal Hill . Lorenzo's is among and sometimes clearly the best Italian food we have ever had. We recommend whole heartedly eating here and order a bottle of wine, eat the bread with olive oil or better yet order the mushrooms and sop up the 'shrooms 'n sauce! We hope to see you there I know we will be back as frequently as my waistline allows!"

"Mi Piaci is the perfect spot for a date night in El Paso. My boyfriend & I came here to celebrate our anniversary last year and really enjoyed it.The bread that was brought to our table was warm & delicious. I ordered the carbonara and added grilled chicken, and my boyfriend chose the pollo alla vodka. We really enjoyed both of the pasta dishes!The atmosphere was perfect for a date or a nice dinner out. Service was great as well. Our only complaint was the price - even for our anniversary, we did spend more than expected on 2 pasta dishes. I would recommend coming here if you're looking for a fancy dining experience!"

"The best Italian food in midland, I am a big fan of this restaurant. As a pasta and seafood lover, I can honestly say this was very delicious! We were a group of 6, and the service was outstanding! The waiter never let our glasses go empty and was there anytime we needed him. The food itself was delicious, and you could taste the fresh ingredients. I had their Red Fish with crawfish and shrimp topping - flavorful and sooo good! The restaurant itself was clean and well decorated, had a relaxing Mediterranean vibe. I am a big fan!"

There is a cute wall mural where you can take selfies upon entering. Now on to the food. Excuse me. I know this great food didn't come out of this tiny place! Oh My Gosh!First things first! That Lavender Lemonade is the best lemonade I've EVER had. EVER! Wish I could take it on the plane with me. Ohhhhh so sweet, crisp, refreshing and light flavored .Fish, Shrimp, Andouille Sausage and Grits - YUM! Fish - well seasoned, fried extra extra crispy in flour batter, so it didn't get soggy from the grits.Shrimp - large sautéed shrimp were a nice compliment to the gritsAndouille Sausage - sautéed with peppers and onions, chopped small but not tinyGrits - very creamy and flavorful with the Andouille Sausage and shrimp mixed in with the crispy fish on top, is so delicious.I had to visit again before I left El Paso.2nd visit, I got Chicken n Waffles with a side of Mac and Cheese Waffles with peach cobbler butter (unbig my back) Lordy! - fluffy waffles coated with powder suger, not over sweet. Really good. Now the peach butter can be its own dessert. Oh My Lord!!!! It taste like smooth ice cream and has real peaches in it. Let me stop. I think I've said too much. (First 48) Chicken - large chicken breast, fried a little to crispy and had an old grease taste to it. Thank goodness for syrup. Mac n Cheese - Sharp Cheddar is overpowering and in a cage fight match with the garlic. Cholula to the rescue.Prices are reasonable.I'll definitely return."

"So yes I am a good Italian home cook, but sometimes I don't have the time to chop, grate, shred, simmer and bake to get great taste. Tonight I ordered delivery from The Italian Kitchen West. I have enough food for about four more meals! What I was impressed with is that they must have read my mind and that I was going to divy it up between several meals so they gave me enough toasted and buttered Italian bread to go with the soup, the lasagna for two meals, the salad and the calamari!So the tiramisu- that did not stand a chance- it is gone!The food was good, very tasty but perfectly seasoned and arrived hot! I had a third of the lasagna and it was so good."

Food: we didn't get any photos, but the food was excellent! I had the lasagna and my husband had the baked rigatoni. By far the best in town, since Bella Napoli's closed years ago. ( I have to say, it was close to mine,but not quite as good ). We have to go back and try the fettuccine. There was a lot on the menu we will go back and try.. Service: Excellent customer service. The staff was very good, you will not be disappointed! Everyone was friendly and spent time explaining the items. Wine glass candles with the traditional basket cover on bottom with wax overlay.I had the combo eggplant and chicken parmigiana it was plenty to share. My only wish was that it had a side of spaghetti. My waiter should have up sold me on it. Husband had the tower an olive oil pasta toss that was yummy. And I would recommend his over mineNext time sticking with the specialties since it comes with side salad and side of spaghetti."

"First time here and at first glance this location outside looks old and needs much required repairs. Once you step in the environment is much more welcoming and clean. The staff is a bit on the quiet side recommend some customer service training but they got our order right and gentleman was respectful and always on top of things. Our food did take a bit approximately 20 minutes but came out hot and tasteful. Prices are good not expensive and enjoyed my visit and meal."
