"Destination, Hillsboro, to hang out with the Saturday morning Pickers. We showed up a little early for the music, but right in time for breakfast, so we popped in at the seemingly only game in town.Just cuz they got a corner on the Hillsboro nosh market don't mean they ain't putting their best foot forward! The breakfast menu (served until 10:45, if I recall correctly, to enable efficient transition to lunch), was plenty varied with more than a few options I really wanted to try. Middle-aged sedentary lifestyle affording what it does, I only ordered one thing, the pile up..., but I shared it with my friend who shared her short stack of waffles.Pile ups will be pile ups... the mark of superlative being squarely on the chile. And let me tell you, red to green, they mastered both. So, so good! (Man, why did I have to share that??) I'm also delighted to say that the waffles were of my preferred thin and crispy variety rather than the Belgium sort. They were roughly the size of an Eggo, in fact nearly visually identical, but definitely not a freezer-box flavor. Hard not to enjoy a waffle, admittedly; they fit the bill perfectly for sweet breakie dessert. And the prices were exactly what they should be, indicative of craft quality but not of craft pretentiousness. The staff were so so lovely, and the locals prone to chat with out-of-towners. Hillsboro seems like a tight-knit community of folks enjoying small town western retirement... positively charming. There's even a winery a couple blocks away. But if you're planning to check the town out, definitely come on a Saturday morning so you can sit in on the Pickers' bluegrass jam session. And DEFINITELY come early enough to have breakfast at the general store and cafe. Then stay for lunch!"
"Been There, Done BatWhile most Visitor Centers (VC) are kinda-sorta optional when visiting National Parks, this one is mandatory. In order to visit the Caverns, visitors are required to have a reservation, and this is the place to go in order to check in and use said reservation. The Good:*Nice large VC with a large parking lot*Two separate gift shops*Café that serves up cafeteria-style eats*Staff is extremely helpful and communicative *Cell phone reception outside the building is pretty good (Verizon).*Small museum talking about the cave and some of the animalsThe Meh:*Cell phone reception is spotty at best inside the buildings. The Ugly:*The whole line check-in process feels a little slow and clunky and could definitely use some streamlining. Part of the problem is that you make the reservation without paying, and you don't pay until you check in. TLDR: Nice VC with all the usual amenities and then some."

"Amazing foodAmazing atmosphere Amazing serviceCelebrated my wife's birthday and the couches in the back made a very pleasant diner, the decoration of the entire building is Mexican traditional, is very warm and delightful. Will definitely come back. Although, I do have some suggestions:- Add more non vegan options.- More variety of drinks would be good."
"Been craving a Bloody Mary for weeks & when on vacation there isn't a better time! I checked yelp for breakfast / brunch spots & saw this place had a full bar and was like that's where we're going! The Bloody Mary did not disappoint, hit the spot with just the right amount of kick. Me & hubby both got the No Brainer breakfast sandwich and were surprised when I came out not exactly a sandwich more like toast with toppings. BUT don't let that deter you, it was decadent in flavor and absolutely satisfying. The fruit was ok we think they might not be in season with them being as hard as they were but what can you do! The space was clean and well kept as well as a good ambiance, and the staff were very attentive. Next time we're in the area would definitely visit again!"
"Food wow wow! Everything we ordered just amazing. You need to come taste for yourself. Service was perfect, wait was not that long. Staff were inviting and kind."
"I generally look forward to coming here when I come to town, but today's service was concerning. I feel like the guy I'm ordering from has an issue with me off the bat. I ignore it and order. I'm sitting on the bench with no table to set items, he hurriedly thrusts the cappuccino in my hand. I drop it, never addresses it with me and leaves me with this mess. For as cool as this place looks I sure wish I was treated better as a customer, honestly the way they looked at me when I walked in you'd have thought I was going to do an IRS audit. Decor-top tier, coffee-solid, customer service-needs help."
"Who would have thought the KOA has the best breakfast restaurant. There's not a lot of choice in Wilcox for breakfast so we thought we'd try and reviews were good. Our server was the chefs daughter and she was as sweet as can be. I ordered the Roadrunner breakfast with my eggs over medium, most restaurants can't seem to get over medium eggs right but the chef nailed it perfectly!! My husband ordered the western omelet and it was delicious. The blueberry pancakes with prickly pear syrup were divine and huge! The other thing that needs to be good is the coffee and it was. I also recommend the home fries, they were crunchy on the outside and creamy soft inside, addictive!! Great food and great service!!"
"Took some friends to the cafe and we all had salads. Wow, we were pleasantly surprised. The salads were all delicious, very large and great tasting. Looking forward to a return trip."
"Traveling throughTexas? If you're in the Fort Stockton area, do yourself a "flavor" and eat at the Sagebrush Cafe. Our server, Derecca, was so friendly and was happy to accommodate our request...grilled onions! We both had burgers, fries and onion rings. Delicious. They were smashed to.perfection, brioche buns. Yum! Rings and fries were hand cut, hand dipped. When traveling back through, they will see us again.Hidden GemThanks for filling our bellies with tasty food."
"Definitely the stereotypical local coffee house. Aloof baristas, wacky menu of specialty coffees and drinks, local art, nice seating areas, and way overpriced. It's fun. The coffee really is very good. I enjoy it on special occasions."
"Gila Hank's Cafe is now operated by directly by Eastern Arizona College. The menu has been expanded, and the facility has been updated. The food is top notch and inexpensive. They have added fresh in-house baked goods which can stand up to any bakery. The friendly staff keep the place clean and inviting. The only drawback is that sometimes it fills up: the word is out that this is the place to eat in town."
"We have had lunch her twice. Extremely clean facility including bathrooms. Fresh make food. Fresh baked breads and sandwiches. They have a Breakfast buffet and a lunch buffet and close I think at 3 pm. The ladies running the place are very nice and friendly. Desert is homemade cinnamon roll and they will heat and add butter for you. It would be hard to improve on their operation. Fresh made ice tea, lemonade and coffee comes with meal. Everything is included and no surprise added charges, Cash or check only no plastic. I never give 5 stars but they earn it. We were going to have lunch and I called to check the hours, was told they were not currently serving lunch but might in the future. Would have been a long drive for no food."

Such a cool little place! Only wanted coffee on our way through. The old building is very historic. The lady that got us our coffee was very nice and helpful. Coffee was good! Stop by and say hi to them!

The visitor's center at Carlsbad Cavern's National Park is four stars for me. It's a very long building. The line to check in with your reserved tickets gets in the way often of several of the displays and informational kiosks. The restrooms are to the right as soon as you walk in. The staff tends to keep them cleaner than I remember. If you have never been to Carlsbad, NM, make a special trip to do so. But definitely plan ahead. Dress in layers. Visit their website for all the rules & info. Mainly, you can't buy tickets the day of anymore. I have been lucky enough to get reserved tickets with my annual pass the night before. I would recommend White Sands National Park, an outing to a pistachio farm in Alamogordo, the Guadalupe Mountains and El Paso, TX in the same trip!

Had to get some Mexican food before heading to the airport. Stopped by L&J for their steak burrito, ordered to-go at the front counter and waited about 15 min. The restaurant was bigger than I thought on the inside.I ate my burrito in the car at a nearby park and it was so delicious. Seemingly so simple..steak, some bell pepper and onions, and cheese sauce on the side for dipping but it was mouth watering good! That burrito was a highlight of my trip.

This restaurant is part of the KOA campground just off I-10 but anyone can eat here. And trust me, you won't regret it! The food was scratch cooked, fresh and delicious. The staff was friendly and entertaining. We had a party of 6, everything ordered was on point. If you find yourself in Wilcox and want a home cooked meal I would highly recommend!

The first time I ate here I had the enchiladas and was very happy with my meal, the service, etc. going back a second time months later it just didn't seem as good. Not sure why. The food was ok. My hubby tried ordering different things off the menu and they kept telling him that they didn't serve those dishes for lunch. We went through this with a few dishes. We suggested they have a separate lunch and diner menu or at least re-do the menus stating what is available for lunch and dinner. Not sure we'll be back. No glaring problems but also nothing exciting to write home about. It had so much potential!

"Came for breakfast on Saturday morning. They opened a little later than we were hoping for, but it ended up worth our wait. We ate outside, since the weather was perfect. My husband ordered the Chihuomelet with a side of veggies, and ordered the Farmers omelet with a side of bacon. My husband's omelet was super tasty. My omelet was divine!! One of the best omelets I've ever had! The sauce was absolutely amazing! The bacon on the other hand was rather disappointing- it was obviously just reheated bacon. All the other ingredients seemed fresh, so I'm not sure why they cut corners on that one."
"Great food and service The ambience is so chill and relaxed. Such a hidden gem...highly recommend."
"Homemade food, friendly service, hometown feel. Owner Miguel very welcoming. Our morning just got off to an awesome start. Highly recommend this restaurant."
"This cute restaurant is in the lobby of the Mountain View Lodge. All lunch options have the same price, how unique. We tried the BLT, chuck wagon, and chicken tenders. Bacon was crispy and the flavorful sandwich had fresh tomatoes. Delicious!Chuck wagon is a great chicken fried steak sandwich. So filling."
"Maybe I'm just being nostalgic of my grandma's caldo and tacos, but these items at Delicias sent me straight back to her kitchen. Wonderful flavor and a perfect combination all around. While the tacos and soup were near perfection, our family also sampled a few other menu items and had mixed reviews. If you head there for a meal make sure to try the molattes, chile colorado and enchiladas. Our other items: gorditas, flautas and queso however were better at other staple restaurants in the area."
"Breakfast burrito with chorizo and eggs was c awesome!!!! Biscuits and gravy was delicious. Great, friendly service!!"
"I've been here a few times and everything has always been good. The workers are always very nice, the place is clean, cute and cozy. I've tried something new each time today I got the caramel toffee latte and it was deliciouuuss. It was topped with THE BEST vanilla cold foam I've ever had."
"Best coffee shopppp evaaa. Coziest on earf. Can play video games and chat my favs at the counter. Also really good dirty chai lattes and cold brew."
"Such a fun spot to hangout! They have everything for gaming. My boyfriend and I could spend hours just sitting back, relaxing, and playing video games here.Customer service is superb, and they quite literally make the BEST sandwiches!!!Highly recommend"
"Joe Vinny & Bronsons is an absolute gem and #1 El Paso favorite for my husband and I. We used to come here often back in 2018 for the amazing food and comfy ambiance.. we were so glad that they're still killing the food game!! And of course the staff are still as hospitable as ever. I can't recommend this happy little establishment enough!"
"Beautiful patio, wonderful customer service, and tasty food and drinks. Great way to spend a brunch!"
"Treated myself into a lovely dinner and I'm so glad I did, this place met every expectation. I fully expected as a party of one that was a walk in on a Friday night to be seated at the bar however they sat me outside in this lovely area at a table all to myself. It did smell a little like cigar smoke but I quickly got over it because it was so beautiful, the wait staff was super attentive and the sommelier even came out to chat with me about my wine selections. I had the beef carpaccio which with the salad of greens, jicama, black truffle and Parmesan was beyond divine I could have had two of them! I also came in for the honey lavender duck and while the lavender was almost not present the duck was perfectly cooked and it exceeded expectations. There was an extra leg confit and foie gras with cranberry compote that was divine and absolutely made the dish when it was all paired together! For dessert I had one of the best creme bruise I've ever had, usually they are so thin and flavorless this was thick and decadent and perfectly paired with the ice wine. I had had a very strenuous couple of weeks and this dinner is exactly what I needed. From the ambiance to my server Nick who took care of my every need, to the staff to the chef I was absolutely delighted and I cannot wait to go back. Not sure what all the negative reviews are on here, Google tells a different story, believe Google before you believe Yelp apparently, so hopefully my reviews bring up their Stars where they deserve!"
"We stopped by Bonny's one morning as our usual spots for breakfast burritos were closed, and it worked out well because the burritos here are delicious! My favorite burrito that we tried was the barbacoa, which was filled with flavor. The prices seemed a bit expensive at first, but for the size it was worth it. Bonny's also has tortas on the menu which I would really like to try."
"Wolf grounds is a lovely local cafe and coffee shop. They make great espresso drinks and the food looks good too. It's a really laid back spot with a big play area for small kids and a nice area for outdoor seating. I found it to be good for relaxing with coffee or a bite."
"The owner is super nice and the customer service is superb. I highly recommend the immunity shots. Their juice is freshly made and perfectly balanced. The prices are very reasonable especially for the quality you are receiving. I definitely recommend incorporating this business into your weekly routine. I already have!!"
"In the El Paso area, Alice the Burrito lady is the authority on good burritos. I first started frequenting Alice when I was in high school back in 2001. I went to Franklin and a friend would take a group of us there for lunch. Every single time the burrito was delicious, and 1 burrito is enormous so that you fill yourself up and likely have half a burrito left for later. They are probably about a foot and a half long and stuffed to the gills with meat. I would guess they weigh at least a pound each. I have had the Carne Asada (my favorite), Carnitas, Mole, Chicken De., and Picadillo, and can testify that every single one of them is delicious. My friends that have had the others all claim they are equally as good. However, the best part of the burrito is the tortilla. These are made from scratch daily right in front of your eyes and they are easily the best tortillas I have ever tasted. When I moved away from El Paso every trip home I would have to stop at Alice the day I arrived and the day I left. Now that I am back living in El Paso, I make it over there at least once a month, and whenever my friends come back to town its one of the first places we visit.Alice the Burrito Lady makes a delicious, enormous, and fresh Burrito for under $5. If you are ever at the outlet mall nearby save yourself the money from the expensive frozen foodcourt food, and head on over to Alice. You won't regret it."
"I love the outdoor sitting at Giddy Up Cafe on a Fall afternoon. We passed by this little place during lunch time on the road and decided to give it a try - considering a few of our favorite lunch places in town are closed. :( As far a the food goes, the lunch menu was kind of small and not very exciting. Everything tasted as expected, but nothing to be excited about."
"Food was good and the service was great. I liked the variety and the quality of the food. I recommend the French dip and biscuit sandwich platter with home fries."
"My boyfriend and I stayed 4 nights here for Valentines Day and I have to say out of all the RV Parks this one was the quietest. The staff was very kind and helpful it was alot of fun, clean bathrooms and within walking distance to all the local attractions I highly recommend this place to anyone with an RV or trailer. It did rain but that was mother nature's doing. I would like to extend my thanks to the Staff their for their kindness and warm hospitality looking forward to seeing you again thank you"
"Everything was so cute, the staff was so friendly and accommodating, and everything tasted great! Monet, our waitress, took such great care of us by even surprising us with designs on all of our drinks and we couldn't have had a better experience! Looking forward to coming back soon! The restaurant is even cuter in person than online! Great service, great atmosphere, and fantastic customer service!"
"My experience is based upon a set show time and pre-ordered meal for a party of 16 to give perspective. The food was great! I had the Wildcat Burger which was hand made patty cooked well. Bacon, peppers, and the rest of the toppings were excellent. Fries homemade and tasted great. No one left hungry and the club and the rest of the meals looked great. This restaurant at be the reason I bring my family back to Columbus, NM!"
"We had such a wonderful breakfast here! The quiche was delightful and the granola was a spectacular. We will be back the next time we visit TorC."
"Wife and I come here a lot it's our go to breakfast spot. Great service everytime and the amount of food you get for your money is great."
