Everything was consistent. Brisket was spot on for Texas style. Sausage and pulled pork both were excellent. Potato salad had a great mustard wang! Mac N Cheese was a little too runny, but the flavor was really good. They don't skimp on portion sizes or relish items (pickles, onions and jalapeños) Great friendly service to boot. Might seem a little pricey, but not really considering the quality. If you're a real BBQ fan, this is a must try place."

"We came here with some relatives after Moe's was OUT OF FOOD. That was a blessing in disguise because KD's was AMAZING. Like another Yelper said, I felt a little apprehensive walking in here. There were items in "Igloo coolers", crockpots, etc... Like you'd see at a Redneck backyard BBQ. Nonetheless, we ate a damn good meal there!We picked brisket, sausage, ribs and pulled pork. (Meat alone for our tray was $39). I grabbed 3 bags of Lays chips for the kiddos and had a side of coleslaw for myself. Our relatives had a similar assortment of meats (meat alone was $33)... they got some sides and drinks. I'd probably say the total was around $100??? Granted, our meals fed 4 adults and 3 kids. We all had our fill. It was so good. We didn't even use BBQ sauce bc the meat was good on it's own. Atmosphere was very unique. Old random stuff filled the walls. Lots to look at. We'd definitely return!"

The typical BBQ meats are top notch! Another cool side note about half acre is they aren't just a restaurant. They own the ranch where beef is raised, a meat market where you can buy their raw beef, and a restaurant that cooks and prepares it for you. Reasonably priced and has indoor and outdoor seating and even an outdoor area for the kids. Don't forget to try the banana pudding!!!"

It was so yummy we had to go try more.Dine in is a mediocre experience. It is an order up counter with no service. We got tea that was warm with very little ice. But the sandwich we had was yummy and of course the potato salad is amazing. As we sat we noticed a ton of cars coming through drive through picking up what they had order for that night's dinner. Then I realized why this place always looks empty and yet it still is open. Because a lot of people order and bring it home. The BBQ sauce is good. Brisket is really good. The price is very reasonable. Great local spot. That is not a franchise."

"Wow!!!! A gem here in Anthony-a must visit. We tried everything (well nearly) so amazing. The Dino beef rub fell off the bone. I've never seen a beef rib so big and never tasted anything so extraordinary. The Mac and cheese was over the top and my three meat choice-pulled pork, brisket and pork ribs -every meat was smoked to perfection. The bbq sauce is spot on and even the sweet tea is fantastic! And the place is super clean and the service was outstanding. They even have a house cat outside. IAll I can say is my husband just said this possibly might be the best BBQ place we've ever been to. "Off The Grill was voted the best food truck in the border in 2013 and is quite popular around El Paso. I thought the food was pretty good, but you have to have the right expectations. I think that OTG is a pretty good food truck that serves BBQ-based items and I'm not rating it compared to sit-down BBQ restaurants; you shouldn't expect it to be an alternative to places like State Line or Famous Dave's.Their menu is pretty straightforward, mostly sandwiches or tacos made with one or more of their BBQ meats, but their most popular item, and the one they recommend, is the Pulled Pork Cheese Fries, they had me at "Pulled." I really liked them, the fries golden soft (which I prefer), not crispy fried and they are pretty decent size, none of that thin fry crap, they have lots of cheese and mixed with the BBQ sauce it makes for a nice tangy flavor.Because I have no self-control, I also ordered the sausage bites, which I found out is their second most popular item. It's a plate of sliced sausage drenched in BBQ sauce, which for the record I did share with another person. We weren't blown away by them, but they were okay, I'm just really picky about the sausages I put in my mouth. I would definitely recommend getting the fries over the bites if you are a normal person that only orders one thing. I do have to mention that the OTG folks were very friendly and personable, though there was a line I didn't feel rushed when it was my time to order, which is not uncommon at food trucks and stands. They were even nice enough to pose my food on the counter while I took photos of it, because I'm that kind of person. Green beans and some grits on the side please. You know it's Texas BBQ, not just by the big red, but also by the slice of wonder bread.Pulled Pork was good and so was the smoked Turkey. Somehow, I gotta have collard greens..just my preference. They were out of the Pecos Spud so I didn't have a chance to try that.Price is good and customer service is Great! Parking is super easy. "Mmmm! Tasty. We ordered the three sampler meat, with brisket, beef ribs and St. Louis ribs. Potato salad, collard greens and corn bread. The St. Louis was our favorite, hands down. All of the meat was full of flavor and the sauce was thick and flavorful. Potato salad was a nice surprise. It was a mayo base, and that made my tastebuds super happy. Calling to place the order was easy, they had my order hot and ready as I walked in. Location was easy to find. My only negative was that our corn bread was so dried out that had to crunch a butter knife through it to break it in half. Even then, with the real butter they had, it was tasty. Would definitely return."

"First impression on the service was not awesome. Arrived right at opening on a quiet Sunday morning. I stood there in front of the hostess for more than 5 minutes before she acknowledged my presence. My order was simple, but I requested point brisket instead of flat. She told me "you get the cut that you get". They won't accompany this request. This really rubbed me wrong. What bbq joint won't let you specifically have point if you request it?The food: the brisket was delicious. Absolutely excellent fat rendering and flavor. They did bring me only point meat which was appreciated. The sausage was very good but not really stand-out. The pork ribs had an excellent flavored and textured bark, but unfortunately were way undercooked. I'm not a "fall off the bone" guy at all, but these were still densely stuck to the bone (see my pic). I do think ribs should retain enough structure to see a bite mark, but the bone should not still be adherent to the meat like this. Too bad bc the flavor was delicious.I highly recommend the side dishes. The green chili cheese rice was delicious and the macaroni was also awesome. The cornbread was very good. Zero complaints about side dishes. Overall, I would give this place for stars for the reasons above. It was certainly three star service, and pork ribs (maybe I just got an undercooked sample). 5 stars for the brisket and sides. 4 stars for the sausage."
