"First impression on the service was not awesome. Arrived right at opening on a quiet Sunday morning. I stood there in front of the hostess for more than 5 minutes before she acknowledged my presence. My order was simple, but I requested point brisket instead of flat. She told me "you get the cut that you get". They won't accompany this request. This really rubbed me wrong. What bbq joint won't let you specifically have point if you request it?The food: the brisket was delicious. Absolutely excellent fat rendering and flavor. They did bring me only point meat which was appreciated. The sausage was very good but not really stand-out. The pork ribs had an excellent flavored and textured bark, but unfortunately were way undercooked. I'm not a "fall off the bone" guy at all, but these were still densely stuck to the bone (see my pic). I do think ribs should retain enough structure to see a bite mark, but the bone should not still be adherent to the meat like this. Too bad bc the flavor was delicious.I highly recommend the side dishes. The green chili cheese rice was delicious and the macaroni was also awesome. The cornbread was very good. Zero complaints about side dishes. Overall, I would give this place for stars for the reasons above. It was certainly three star service, and pork ribs (maybe I just got an undercooked sample). 5 stars for the brisket and sides. 4 stars for the sausage."
"Service and the food are great here. If you haven't been here, you need to try it out. From burgers to chicken sandwiches to fish tacos along with fries and a cold drink, it is worth it."
"Driving through El Paso on a roadtrip and stumbled on this cute place. One of the few bbq places that are open past 3pm around downtown. Beware finding parking here is really hard as there are only about 20 spots, don't park at the Thai Tara spots. It has a cute homey unique vibe to place, sports playing on multiple TVs, and the servers were all super nice. Got the following dishes:1)full brisket platter - about 1lbs of brisket, nice amount for the price ~$20, juicy, flavor was crisp but could use some salt2) spare ribs- probably my favorite dish, could use more seasoning to it but had good amount of meat3) beef ribs- my least favorite dish, it had a very strong charcoaled flavored, the big bone itself is deceiving with little meet on itWith a couple beers all came to around $58 which was a better bang for its buck than we had at a different BBQ place in town"
"Decided to do a last-minute breakfast for Valentine's Day came in. They're open till 11pm They open at 7:00am and I have a catered breakfast that I'm picking up tomorrow for 15 people. Super yummy food very inexpensive came out to about. $18.00 a person but I ordered a ton of food. So grateful for their breakfast catering !"
"Old El Paso staple great sandwiches and fabulous prices a must go place highly recommend"
"The bbq is amazing! Sausage was mouth watering! Potato salad AMAZING!!! Good prices but best of all they were welcoming super friendly and fast!! I didn't even make it out the parking lot with my food! Highly recommend!!"
"I gotta give it to this place because they offer vegetarian options on their menu. That portobello sandwich was so good! The sweet potato fries not only looked good but they tasted good. The service was good, the waitress was proactive, helpful, and nice. Never needed to look for her to ask for any extra things as she was already asking if anyone was okay. The parking can get a bit hectic when it's a weekend but nothing impossible to pull off. Had reservations for our large party which made things way easier. Didn't have to wait out in the cold. Prices are reasonable and would come back again. Provecho!"
"Been eating their food for 20,or more years. I really like the beans ,meat, potato salad and sandwiches. I think it's one of the best in Odessa. They have had to go up on prices since coved hit,but still the best for me"

My friend recommended this place. She said it was her favorite barbecue in El Paso. We went early around noon, and there were not many people on Martin Luther King Day. The service was quick. The waitresses were very attentive and kind. The food was excellent. My ribs were very tender and moist, I didn't care much for the barbecue sauce on the ribs, because maybe the ribs were just excellent on their own. my friend liked her bowl and The sandwich was also very good. We split a banana pudding, which was different than any banana pudding I have ever had, but it was very delicious . We were able to talk, sat next to a door/window which led some nice sunlight in on a cold winter day.

In town for business and stopped here for a quick dinner. I liked the ambiance of the restaurant and our service was also good. Unfortunately, the food was lackluster. I ordered the sampler platter and, while the meat was flavorful, it was tough, full of gristle, and very difficult to enjoy. I had potato salad and the vegetable of the day (green beans) for my sides, both were severely lacking in seasoning and had no flavor at all. The place seems to be popular so maybe they just had an off day, I'd give them another chance based on the other reviews that led us here to begin with. I will say the portion sizes for the price was a great value, especially for the brisket which my colleague seemed to enjoy and had a ton leftover.

Lucy's Cafe WestAddress: 6600 N. Mesa | El Paso, TXPhone: (915) 842-83294 stars for what it was A good divey Mexican RestaurantWith delicious food, great service and reasonable prices. The pics on the website i felt were a little misleading. It wasn't quite as dressy on the inside. But if your just looking for great Mexican food like we were then this is the spot.

"I was in the third day of my Michael Rachelson Memorial Biketour (he was a retired civil engineer from Georgia who was pedaling the 3100mile/4960kms domestic CDT from Glacier National ParkMT-USA to Antelope WellsNM-USA, and was killed by a motor vehicle on NM146, 21SEP2019), and had found a room at the excellent "Day's End", Las CrucesNM. Having just cycled some 80miles/128kms on my eBikeKit-assisted CruzBike, I was not really physically able to go far for an evening meal. How convenient that a very unassuming/low-key eatery (Ranchway) was just across Valley Drive!I was a bit uncertain; the parking lot had perhaps one or two (motor)vehicles, not a sign of great eats, confirmed upon my entry--most of the tables & dining areas were empty. The menu seemed equally lackluster, but adequate enough to order a steak Tampico (to go--I was steadily getting more exhausted). I rested my eyes fir a moment when another patron asked if he could sit at the 3-chair table where I was sitting. I looked around and was shocked to see how full this small restaurant had become--the line placing orders at the window was nearly out the door! Many of the tables/chairs were likewise full of customers, also awaiting there orders. Some clients in the know had already called in their orders, and waited very little. Of course, my order might take longer because I preferred my steak to be "well done" The other man sharing my wait-table commented that the line seemed small--this place has been here for years, decades, and some of the very best Mexican food North if the border came out it's kitchen! In time, my order was ready and I Gimpwalked back across this important road to a fantastic Family Dollar for additional snacks/chocolate milk, then to my room, where the chargers were continuing to refill batteries from the outlets. Finally ready to rest my weary body, I opened the big bag of freshly cooked food. Now, often, my exhaustion can make ANY food edible & delicious, including "roadkill" I've found biketouring, but in this case, the warm scent made my mouth fill with saliva in anticipation. What a good choice I made; it was unbelievably tasty! I slowly savored each bite, every morsel, translating into a more full stomach. My good sleep that evening was made even better as the charging units finished recharging both batteries! I highly recommend Ranchway, and it has my enthusiastic "Wheel of Approvalx"
"Don't let the size of the outside turn you away. This spot has a grill master who takes great pride in the BBQ he makes. It's incredibly flavorful and definitely a staple location for a town that desperately needs places like this for its culinary identity. Service is always met with a smile and they provide discount for military on Saturdays."
"We were driving thru from PHX, AZ. We got the brisket plater and the chili relano. Omg, it was sooooo gooood! Az has mexican food, this place just as good!! Great service and food!! Ohhh and its BYOB. Love it!!"
"Best authentic bbq place in the basin. Staff is helpful and efficient. Chip beef sandwich,Mac & cheese, beans, potato salad are all amazing. Decently priced, 2 meals here will run you a little less than getting to 2 meals at Dickeys (for example). Definitely pay a visit to Jack Jordan's, you won't regret it!"
"This place was very underwhelming and disappointing. If you're craving BBQ don't come here and give this place your money. The food tasted so bad and flavor less, the vibes in the bar are weird also it's a dive bar and the people taking my food orders which were the owners were not friendly at all after the fact we told them we've never been before. I've had the worst dining experience here and the BBQ food sucks and the bartender can't make a proper mixed drink. I wish I can give 0 stars. This place should be out of business or bought out. Sorry not sorry."
"You know peach cobbler smell? The second you walk in you are invited into peachy heaven. But I'm on a diet.... But a man can dream. But the Rib Plate AWESOME big thick ribs, that stay on the bone just firm enough but will tear away as you go. Slathered in a semi sweet BBQ sauce. Very very good. 3 come on the plate, family business as a 8 year old boy came to get the drink order. Little blues in the background. STOP TO EAT CAUSE YOU MIGHT GET MESSY IN THE CAR."
"We picked Shooters over a steakhouse for our 4th of July meal. It was no contest after seeing the photos of the food on yelp. So we made the 50 mile round trip, thoroughly enjoying the leisure and peace of the lovely lower valley. We were a bit surprised the place was empty but remembered passing two large parks with outdoor festivals. Shooters is way off the beaten path, in an old ramshackle (looking) building with a walk up order window and patio seating. We were told that indoor seating is available on weekends. My guess is this place is booming on weekend nights. We found the whole environment very charming. Mistiers kept the summer heat at bay and good honky tonk music circled overhead. I really like this place. The brisket and sausage were excellent and the beer was cold. So why only four stars? As I said earlier we chose shooters based on photos of the food. In particular were the ginormous beef ribs. I was salivating like a starving Rottweiler the whole drive only to learn that ribs are only offered on weekends. This could have been a deal killer were it not for the other BarBQ items. We didn't try the pulled pork but I have to believe it's as good as everything else. Service was great throughout our visit. I do have a couple of suggestions. Firstly, since sandwich items are the main dishes on weekdays, provide fresher hamburger buns and offer mayo and mustard in addition to the very good barbecue sauce. Since the brisket slices are big, provide knives to cut them into bitesize pieces. Next trip will be for ribs and the pursuit of the fifth star."
"Cold beer and excellent food! Great sports bar, reasonably priced and solid atmosphere. Would definitely recommend. Try the weekend barbecue!"
"Loved the brisket Mac and cheese! The ambiance was nice . Loved the tailgate seating inside business and very clean. The item that stands out is their Mac & Cheese. The brisket is ok but the Mac and Cheese made it pop and took it to another level."
"The pictures doesn't do justice. The Dino Beef Rib is a must, but be warned, they sell quick. Tender, juicy, and flavorful with awesome sauces made in house. One was enough to fill. 100% will be back for more."
