"Freshly made sourdough bread and offers classes on how to make sourdough bread. The owners are very friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this excellent experience of freshly baked items. Absolutely delicious!"
"Traditional family oriented Mexican bakery in Las Cruces, New Mexico. It's the best and it Lujan's Bakery has been opened since 1954. My husband bought 16 Maranitos and Biscochos!!"

"One of my favorite things that came out of 2020's pandemic resulting in me staying at home for months on end, was discovering places I would have otherwise never tried. Topping that list is Delectable Delights! I came across them on a support local Facebook group and the empanadas looked appetizing. I have tried every savory variety Amanda offers; chile Colorado, meat and potato, bbq pulled pork, and my personal favorite Philly cheesesteak. Each and everyone is delicious and hits just the right spot. She makes everything from scratch and by order only so you know you're getting pure quality and freshness. Prices are super reasonable and what's better than $5 delivery?! They also reheat well and always come professionally packaged. My entire family loves them and looks forward to our regular order. I haven't tried any desserts yet because I've been trying to watch my weight, but I think Valentine's Day will be a perfect excuse to indulge! Seriously Yelpers, if you haven't tried ordering from Delectable Delights yet, this is a MUST try. Thank me later. ;)"
"Wow, Diane's Bakery and Deli is AMAZING. The moment you walk in, you immediately notice the scent of fresh bread and pastries. Come in early when everything is straight out of the oven and well-stocked! I wish I could try everything here. Thus far, I've had a NY cheese danish, bearclaw, the turkey+cheese+onion stuffed croissant, turkey+swiss sandwich, and ham+cheddar sandwich; I've loved all of it. Their pastries are so light and fluffy. They are not too sweet, but flavour still really pops. My favourites for breakfast are their stuffed croissants, and they are especially good when they have just come out. Their sandwiches are also excellent for lunch. I was surprised by how big they are, and they each come with a cookie! After eating one for lunch, I'm set to have a late dinner. The staff here are all so nice as well. They are very friendly, and they know their stuff. I'll surely miss Diane's Bakery and Deli and can't wait to come back next time I'm in Silver City!"
"This bakery is located in the Lower Valley on Alameda, before getting to Midway and after Yarbrough. It's kind of hard to find, since it's tucked away, but there are 2 palm trees out in front.Anyways, we have been coming here for years, my grandmother used to like it here, well she passed away already. My favorites are the cake like donuts with a chocolate glaze. I have had the ones from Dunkin Donuts and Albertson's Bakery, and they aren't any good. These donuts are a good size and flavorful! I also like the biscochos and danishes. My mom likes the semita and pan ranchero. They have a huge selection of Mexican Pastries and all kinds of empanadas! On Sunday I decided to try the menudo. They sell it to you in a large container. It's good and spicy, the only complaint is they don't put enough meat! Like, don't be stingy with your meat! Also, don't go in the afternoon/evening. The young girl that works up front has an attitude, a cara de caca, like she doesn't want to work there! Very unprofessional and I rather go in the morning with a different person working."
"The cheesecake here is crazy delicious. So creamy and flavorful, the crust is amazing too. You can taste the love. I tried the mocha hazelnut, the lovely woman behind the counter recommended it because it's her fav and I can see why! It's the perfect elevated cheesecake while still staying true to the classic cheesecake flavor. The slight mocha hint is delicious with a deep chocolate crust. Highly recommend!"
"Affordable, delicious pastries with some of the friendliest employees :) despite the language barrier, the lady made sure I got everything I needed, all with a beautiful smile! Brought these into work, which were a huge hit!"
"This business specializes in Italian style desserts which is exactly what I need for my upcoming dinner party. Unfortunately they were not as authentic as I needed. The bombolini were tasty but a little greasy; the cannoli filling was watery and the shells were over fried. The orange cake was pretty."
"Cute lil donut and breakfast to go place! I would return. Donuts were soft! I got glazed and a chocolate. They also have some pan dulces."
"When I pick up donuts for work this is my go-to bakery. Large selection of fried dough with multi toppings or fillings. The donuts are bigger than the chain donut shops. I know this place has more to offer so donuts are not the only items they sell. Prices are reasonable for the size of donut. Support your local bakeries you will not be disappointed."
"Stopped in on a Thursday afternoon and was greeted with a warm welcome. I started off by telling Stephanie about my wedding cake ideas and she had tons of photos to help the process. She was so in tuned on what i was saying and the ideas I was going for and her help was outstanding! Her knowledge of cakes, sizes, setup, cupcakes, designs, etc was mind blowing! This was my first time in her shop and she made me feel so comfortable and sealed the deal to go with her! While I was in the shop i was able to see her interact with other customers and she is so polite and the best part about it was she washed her hands and counter every single time! She is so positive during this pandemic and it's small business like hers we need to support! Thank you Stephanie and I can't wait for the final products"
"Driving from San Antonio to Tucson and I needed some coffee Americano. Coffee shop is about a mile off the I-10, great little place and decent coffee. Definitely will stop there again."

Not the same Lujan family that started the business years ago. The bread rolls were burnt and the empanadas had little to no filling. Sad to see such a historical presence in the community perform so poorly.

A wonderful place to get most meals. We enjoy getting take out, packaged lunch or dinner meals in the cooler. Sometimes we get several for a day or two. Our favorites are salmon with potatoes and veggies, and also several chicken choices with either pasta or potatoes and veggies. The staff is friendly and knowledgable, and they help each patron get just what they want in a calm and kind way

Holy cheesecake Batman!I absolutely love how quaint yet packed this place is with delectable delights!! Not only do you get a plethora of choices for cheesecake flavors, but also macrons?? It's like these folks heard my cry for making a spot that could fulfill my love for both cheesecake and macrons! Ok so I have to say that the oreo cheesecake is automatically my favorite simply out of oreo bias! They hold a special place in my heart. But if I had to suggest a flavor, a classic or strawberry topped one is never disappointing. It's a perfect lil stop for a quick sweet tooth fix and I am obsessed!

EXCELLENT pastries! Small shop, lovely owner, beautiful cookies, empanadas, rolls, breads, cakes. I bought a bit of almost everything, and brought it to work - the gang devoured every crumb. Be careful parking - get the tail end of your vehicle out of the Dwyer lane traffic.

"A little late on this review, but my family and I were here last week and loved it! It's really such a nice spot to eat. The chicken salad sandwich on rye bread was delish!!! My mom had the chicken salad on greens & my sister enjoyed the chicken jalapeño sandwich as well. I can't remember what flavored sparkling lemonade I had, I think strawberry? Either way, very nice and refreshing!! To end our meal, we had a piece of citrus pie/cake given to us which was such a nice gesture! Staff, location, food, service all 10/10!Will most definitely come back for more next time I'm in town. Thank you again!!"
"2020DEC. Visited Bella Cora Bakery for the first time after their East Location on Joe Battle Sponsored the Yelpies event. My friend had additionally bought more baked goods that day which he shared during the event and I loved them all. I visited with the intent of buying something special for 1 January but I arrived 10 minutes before they closed so there were not many choices. However, I did experience great costumer service and everything else I got was delicious. A couple creme brûlée, lemon bars, chocolate tart, and bread. For the everyday baked goods, special occasions and just because stopping by Bella Cora Bakery is a must. Looking forward to try many more of their baked goods."
"Every time I'm anywhere near this place I try to stop by to see if they have one of those twisty round cinnamon sugary bearclaw type pastries that I don't know the name of. If I went in just behind some kid buying the last one, there would be a throw down. Ok, maybe just a dirty look but they are really tasty.I don't speak Spanish but through a series of charades i'm always able to figure out what the filling is and they are always so cheerful and kind and wait to make fun of me till after I'm out of the door. JUST KIDDING! (I think). Anyway, just walking in the door having the fragrances smack me in the face is a treat and i always look to see what goodies are on the cooling trays first. Bonus; Pepe's Tamales is next door!!"
"Such an adorable bakery. You can't help but smile when you walk in. I've called and come in a few different times, asked a lot of questions, changed pick up times and I've never gotten anything but amazing customer service. The only cake I've ever tried myself is the red velvet cake for my daughter's birthday. The cake itself was so so good. So moist and tasty. Just as a matter of preference the icing was a little sweet but I think that might just be my taste. I'd definitely recommend"
"Small bakery that sells out nearing end of day. I came here for some picks of dessert for a friend's bday. Despite it being more limited when I was there because it was near closing time, I was not disappointed by the quality of sweet and treats here. They are properly portioned for bite size, but each bite filled with so much flavor, not too sweet or overwhelming. Just perfect. I love them and my friends loved them. I'll need to come back to try them all and would definitely grab some for next gathering!"
"Traveling through New Mexico and stopped here for coffee and breakfast. Oh My Gosh!! My wife and I were in heaven. Such a rad atmosphere. Food was fresh and delicious! Coffee was great too!! Thank you, The Bean of Mesilla for an amazing start to our day."
"Tranquil is the word for this place. If you love: * Friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable staff* High quality coffees, teas, and handbaked goods* Simple, clean decor paired with great natural lighting + plenty of plants* Artisan made clothing and gifts (including plants for sale)* Top notch cbd products of all sorts* Fair prices for the calibre of goods/services This is the place for you. Highly recommended for those of us with sensory issues in particular. I appreciate that the music isn't too loud, nor is the air conditioning too strong - or lacking. Wake and Bake does everything right. Thanks for making El Paso a better place."
"This is quite a gem for Sierra Vista & all unsuspectingly hidden in the older 'seen better days' mall. We ordered a cake batter cookie & oatmeal raisin cookie & we weren't expecting much to be honest, but man, our expectations were blown away. Almost melt in your mouth sweetness from the soft cookie & delicious frosting topped with rainbow sprinkles. (My inner kid is rejoicing) Maddy certainly knows a thing or two about sweet treats & I'll definitely be there supporting this tiny gem when I can! SV should definitely make an effort to support this small mom & pop business vs the big box commercial bakeries. It's leaps & bounds better!"
"Uuuggghhhh this is gonna be hard to write a review but need to let my fellow El Pasoans know the truth. Ok so I came here with my grandma because she saw on the news that Gussies was one of the TOP #1 places for tamales. Soooo she made me drive all the way across town (24min) to get tamales. It was 3 days before Christmas so you can only imagine the amount of people waiting for tamales. We get here and the line wasn't so bad BUT of course they didn't have the green chile tamales anymore just red. But then apparently while we waited one of the guys in the back said it was the opposite. No red just green so there basically wasn't any communication with the person taking orders it was understandable because it was chaos inside and people waiting for tamales. Ok so my grandma and I took our tamales home to try out and AYE DIOS MIO they were dry. Yup the masa was dry. We were super disappointed and couldn't understand how this was considered one of the best places in El Paso for tamales. Not to mention THEY ARE EXPENSIVE. I would say one place to get some bomb @ss tamales but I'll just write that in another review. I'll probably be back again but not for tamales just for some pan dulce. Enjoy my pics :)"
"This is a terrific stop along the way, follow the signs is easy to find if you do. I loved the options for snacks and treats. I found several edibles for family members. They have neat gifts, bees, Americana, apples, towels, signs, tumblers, you name it. They had fudge options. A place to sit inside and eat. And my favorite, jars filled with jam, veggies and pickles! You should try and visit. They had accessible parking, and pleasant staff. I'll be back for Christmas gifts."
"I'm going to say 4.5 stars and round up. Mami's is your typical mom and pop neighborhood panderia or bakery. They offer lots of pan dulce or sweet bread, along with tamales and burritos. They had menudo on weekends. I'm not sure if they do anymore but I remember it being good. Their red pork tamales were also good. I haven't had their green or sweet tamales yet. They're $13 a dozen. I didn't get any this time.I used to stop by more frequently when I lived down the street. I'd sometimes go after mass at St. Stephen. I miss attending mass! I was in the neighborhood the other day so I stopped by. The owner is very nice and helpful. She always has been.I ordered some cookies and pastries to take to my grandparents and to the house. I had this chocolate sugar cookie with sprinkles. It was really good! I didn't know how sweet it would be. It was perfect for me because it wasn't too sweet. It was just right. It was also really crunchy. My favorite Mexican-type pastry is the elote. I don't know if it's really called that but my grandma and mom always called it that. It's long and sugary on the outside. It has lots of red jelly inside of it. It's so good! I also ordered a couple of mini pies in raspberry and pineapple. Not too bad for $5 and change. I'll definitely stop by again. Mami's is following safety precautions. You must wear a mask to enter and social distance."
"Tabitha made our 1 tier wedding cake and 180 cupcakes. I wanted to get a very custom design for the one tier as well as the cupcakes. She was very enthusiastic about my vision and I definitely think she delivered. We did the tasting before the wedding. This really helped us adjust our tastes for the cupcakes and wedding cake. I didn't get to see my cake until we did the cake cutting but it turned out great! I even turned the cake around to show off the gradient purple layers of cake. It was delicious too! The cupcakes turned out great, we got a lot of great comments on how delicious they were and how the frosting was on point! Tabitha did gradient purple colors of the frosting as well! She really embraced what I was hoping for! I don't know if I could have gotten exactly what I was envisioning from anyone else! I will definitely share pictures with her so that she can add them to her portfolio! Would highly recommend her to anyone."
"I kept meaning to write a review for Luscious Cupcakes/Custom Cakes! I've bought cakes and cupcakes from them over the last couple of years. A couple of friends recommended Luscious and I was impressed! I eventually had to try them out for myself and I'm so glad I did! Everything always comes out looking amazing and tastes great! The cakes/cupcakes always taste fresh. April the owner has always been really organized and nice to work with. I've never had any issues with her or my orders. She's located in Horizon City so I usually have her deliver to me. She charges between $5-20 extra for delivery. The cost depends on what side of town it's going to.The last time I ordered a cake was just this week. I ordered a birthday cake for my mom. I've baked her cakes in the past but I wanted something super nice and creative. My cakes taste alright but the presentation is sometimes questionable. Lol. April can create pretty much anything, especially if you give her a photo. I'm always impressed with her creativity! Most of my family members are diehard Dallas Cowboys fans (myself included!). My mom is probably one of the biggest Dallas Cowboys fans I know so I went with this theme. She collects Dallas Cowboys mementos and pretty much anything she can get her hands on. I found a photo of a similar Dallas Cowboys cake. April added more detail to my mom's cake than I expected! I ordered a vanilla with strawberry filling cake. It was delicious! I especially liked the jelly filling inside of the cake. The frosting was sweet but not too much. The chocolate covered strawberries on top of the cake also tasted great. The strawberries tasted really fresh. The chocolate was a tad bit sweet but it meshed well with the strawberry. The flavors balanced themselves out. My mom loved the cake. She almost didn't want to cut it. I'll be ordering from Luscious Cupcakes/Custom Cakes again. April also makes cake pops, pies, pretzel rods and lots more. You can find her on Facebook or Instagram."
"This is a small, humble but delicious bakery and restaurant. Try the soup and the chili verde. I can't eat carbs so I wasn't able to try the breads and baked goods. My Mom loved the bear claws with the fruit filling. Enjoy! It's south of I-10. Immediately after you pass the 7/11, you need to slow down and enter the small shopping center on the right."
"Cupcakes are OK. Nothing to write about. The little cake balls were amazing though!"
"When we visit from out of town we always come here to buy the empanadas. The pineapple are our favorite and they are extremely delicious! The lady in the front is amazing and so nice plus all their deserts are amazing!"
"I have to say not just because of I live a few minutes down the highway and it's convenient for an easy lunch or just to pick up some warm delicious bread in the morning . But this place is amazing ! The friendly , kind and considerate service I absolutely love . Everyone is just wonderful. I love the soft warm fresh conchitas, The chocolate donuts, bis Ochoa and don't get me started on the food!!!!!! The tortas . They are Amazing !!!!!!!!!!! They make these colita de Pavo it's turkey but I believe . Sounds funny but it's delicious and I highly recommend with fresh bread and avocado they are addicting . The carne asada tacos , Chile relleno plates everything on the menu my family has orders and everything has been a hit !! Menudo Sunday is the best . Humble place but 5 star food and huge portions ! So come take a drive on highway 478 and enjoy . Stay blessed everyone"
""I'm hungry," I said to my co-worker right after one of our large task of the morning. Being hungry is nothing new, especially since I proclaim that I'm hungry at least 4 times while I'm at work. "I know this place that sells burritos and they open at 7 AM," he said."All right... I'm so down," I said whilst dancing my happy dance. When you know you're going to fill your belly, I swear it makes you dance. My co-worker and I drove to this little store called Horizon. We go through 2 doors and BA BAM! Enough cookies, pastries, and donuts to get your sugar rush and possibly give yourself diabetes. Nothing says you're Filipino more than being on the verge of shooting yourself up with glucose (diabetes runs high in the Filipino community from which I am a proud member). My co-worker knew what he wanted and he knows my dietary restrictions (vegetarian and I like California Mexican food) and exclaimed, "You can get the papas con queso burrito... that means potatoes and cheese.""I know what that means! 4 years of Spanish wasn't entirely lost on me," I said jokingly. Maybe 4 years of Spanish was lost on me because I ordered in English... I didn't even have the guts to say 'please' and 'thank you' in Spanish. The woman gave me my burrito, I ran to the company vehicle, took a bite of the $2.50 potatoes and cheese burrito and said to my co-worker, "Don't leave yet, I want another."IT WAS THAT GOOD. Or I was that hungry and the burritos were that cheap. I'm more enamored by the fact that they make their own tortillas but I've been told there are a number of El Paso restaurants that do, in fact, make their own tortillas. I at least know what that means in Spanish - I have to go to more Mexican restaurants."
"This is one of Demings best sweets shop. They make almost all of their sweets in house and have AMAZING cookies. I will definitely be revisiting this place."
"Stopped in for a quick bite while driving out of town. The croissant breakfast sandwich was good. I also got a cherry turnover. I liked that it wasn't overly sweet. The staff was friendly and quick with getting people in and out."
"I was looking to purchase tamales to take home as a gift for my friend who has been watering my plants for me while I have been away for these past two weeks. Our friends here in Silver City recommended La Bonita, so that's why we chose it. What a wonderful little place. Not only did they have just what I was looking for, but I felt like I had made a new friend! We got into a delightful conversation, discussing "Mexican food" in NM, AZ and CA, the differences, challenges, etc. After sharing our stories, laughing and comparing, he gifted me a bag of his hand-made tortillas. Such a sweet young man, I just wanted to hug him! You can find "good food" at a lot of places, but it's even extra special when you also find "good people" too! Visit them, you won't regret it!"
"CASSAVA IS SUSTENANCE, CASSAVA IS LIFECassava is sustenance, Cassava is life. It is a staple in many diets and fuels the tropics with its rich carbohydrates and cultural influence. Here in El Paso, Cassava reincarnates the passionate spirit of Puerto Rican cuisine. From savoury dishes to decadent sweets, Cassava invites you to a festive experience, like an edible postcard from the Caribbean. Never forget the small, yet mighty flavours of this rich port of the tropics and island of enchantment. The FOOD:Churrifongo: WHEN CHIMICHURRI STEAK MEETS THE BIG MOFONGOTo call this meat and potatoes would be a big understatement. The Churrifongo is a beef skirt steak roulade (meat roll up) stuffed with mofongo, a deliciously savoury mash of fried plantains with garlic, salt, oil, and various spices. Mofongo is like mashed potatoes taken to the next level and enhanced by a ton of flavour. The beef skirt steak was juicy and robust, which was balanced by a side salad and yellow rice with earthy green pigeon beans. The steak is both tender and chewy at the same time, but retains a lot of the beefy flavour. The chimichurri sauce provides anearthy and herbal taste suspended in oil.The VERDICT: DELICACIES FROM THE RICH PORT, THE ISLAND OF ENCHANTMENTEach culture has cuisine that is intimately interwoven into their history. It is their way of life. It is how they stand the test of time. It is who they are. Cassava represents times of celebration and honors the times of struggle that allow us to appreciate what we have. The Churrifongo is a fancy celebration of Puerto Rican cuisine with a cut of skirt steak wrapped around the cultural staple of mofongo, the heavenly stepbrother of mashed potatoes, but with an intensity of spices and flavours. If you want a dish with a ton of umami flavour, then definitely try the Churrifongo or any of the mofongo, bifongo, or trifongo. I will definitely be back to try the Puerto Rican desserts and really embrace the baked goods."
"Bouillos, or Pan Blanca as I think they are called are amazing here!! I watched a man put a big row of uncooked bread into an old fashioned brick oven. It gives the bread an unreplicatable taste and texture. Warm, moist on the inside, and perfectly browned outside. You can only get this good the old fashioned way. I refuse to eat any other breads anymore since tasting this delicacy. Which updates my review ro 5 stars. I will never go anywhere else."
