Jenni M. "*** really good choice for a higher end dinner in Marfa, TX ***The food is excellent! It really was fresh, carefully-prepared menu items.Let's get this out of the way...Oof...The knocked off star is primarily because we didn't know if it was seat yourself or an employee with assist you. My daughters begged me to stay when I said I was walking out after multiple employees walked past us yet made eye contact with me. Please address this issue because an older couple came in after us. Did their little wandering around thing like old folks do. Confronted a nice man who seemed like he was in charge who quickly apologized and got staff to assist us after standing around for over 10 minutes.Inside reminds me of my brother and sister-in-law's house with dark green paint and accents of black and gold. A mix of all kinds of antiques. Greenery. Gold chandeliers. Some eclectic items. An assortment of artwork was displayed in the larger dining area. However, we sat outside. The patio was delightful with a cool breeze. Luckily we had jackets since none of the heaters were operating. Rotisserie chicken was rotating on the grill near us. Service was friendly and attentive once we finally were seated. I'm admittedly staunch on the service side of businesses, but perhaps more so with a restaurant such as this one. DRINKS:+ Hot chamomile/lavender tea (they were out of green tea): $3.50+ Dr. Pepper in a glass bottle (my oldest loved it - so fresh, she said) $3.50+ Mystery Light cocktail $16 (I would definitely order it again.)+ Cheese board $24 (this was my meal... loved it!)+ Pasta Rossa (campanelle pasta in vodka sauce, topped with fresh mozzarella and basil pistachio pesto) $23 (my youngest ordered this... so delish. No meat, but pasta was cooked al dente. Amazing sauce!)+ Classic burger meal $17 (the fries were so yummy... my daughter didn't give me a chance to try her burger LOL)+ Two scoops of ice cream $13 (worth it... the girls allowed me to try their Cotton Candy and Peanut Butter Bailey's)Marfa, Texas, is a small town. Thus, restaurants seemingly run out of items here, so bear that in mind. Order a cocktail. Facilitate good conversation. Be merry. Forget the disappointments (for a while anyway... lol).Cards or cash accepted.Recommended for a casual or fancy dinner.RATING BREAKDOWNFood: 5 | Service: 3 | Ambiance: 4 | Price: 4"

Everything was delicious. The Pistachio Fried Steak was tender and seemed to be the favorite as I saw several other patrons order it. The mash potatoes were delicious as was the broccoli. The gravy was a a bit spicy but it enhanced the flavor, would love to have a bit more gravy"

Joe M. "I visited from Illinois and had the pleasure of dining here twice--once in June and again in October 2024. This was my first experience with Belgian cuisine, and I absolutely loved it!Service: 5 out of 5On both visits, the hosts and servers were exceptional. They were incredibly attentive and very friendly. While the host wasn't particularly smiley, they were still welcoming. The servers, on the other hand, were both friendly and cheerful.Ambiance: 4.5 out of 5The restaurant's decor is unique and cozy, creating a warm atmosphere. It's clearly a popular spot, as it fills up quickly. My only suggestion would be to reduce the number of tables by 10-20% to make it easier to navigate the dining room, especially when it's busy, as it can get quite loud.Food: 5 out of 5I made it a point to try Belgian-specific dishes on both visits. During my first visit, I had a Benedict with greens on the side--something not typically found in the U.S.--and it was absolutely delicious. The ingredients were high quality, and the presentation was lovely. They also keep the food covered until it reaches your table, ensuring it stays hot. On my second visit, I tried the Pork Green Chiles with eggs, hash browns, and a small Belgian waffle. The food was flavorful, hot, and very fresh. The waffle, in particular, was outstanding. Despite usually preferring savory breakfasts, I now know that I'll be leaning towards the waffles or other sweet breakfast options in the future--they're simply unmatched!Special coffee drinks: 3 out of 5I ordered a double Latte's at each visit. They were about $7+ each. They were flavorful, but a little too sweet. Unfortunately, also, they didn't come to the table "HOT." If I'm paying that much for a special coffee drink, it should be top tier. I look forward to coming back, I recommend this place to anyone! Try it!"

When you walk in you're transported to a delicious adventure of superb appetizers, salads, main courses of beef, chicken, fish or pork and fancy desserts. It's part of the culinary school so the servers are learning their craft while the sous chefs are teaching in the kitchen and maitre d hover nearby. The food is like nothing I've ever tasted anywhere in the city. I've taken my friends there and they've taken their spouses or parents and everyone loved it. A dinner that would cost you $50 per person anywhere else (say Cafe Central) is about $20 here. You get a four-course dinner and the atmosphere and will feel spoiled. Sherman T. "Had been waiting to visit this location since opening and we seemed to have picked a perfect day to do so. We initially tried for Fathers day but the wait was just a tad over what we felt comfortable doing. Also as a recommendation to other people, this is a diner, which means it is not that large of a place and large parties will take time to be seated as the accommodations are a tad lackluster in that sense. Their food as always was as delicious as their arizona locations that we frequent throughout the year. I had their Country Fried Steak eggs benedict and as always the portions were good and hearty. The fruit was deliciously crisp and in season and honestly everything felt and tasted great. The atmosphere is one you would expect and it does feel very active throughout your meal. Please remember they do have fudge as well as other goodies you can take afterwards. This is inside the Petro station where there used to be a Skillet Diner so please don't go in expecting this to be a large establishment like its other iterations. Also shoutout to Petro for awesome amenities while traveling."

We ended up parking at the liquor store but there are plenty of spots along the front. Right as you walk in there are two pool tables and the bar is right next to them. There is plenty of seating at the bar. You go up about two steps and this is where the rest of the tables are set up and where the karaoke stage is.There is a Mexican food truck that caters and serves their food here! We ordered two orders of the steak tacos (5 tacos per plate) with everything on top. They are topped with mozzarella cheese, cilantro, onion, and a green salsa. The tacos were DELCIOUS!! The salsa is very spicy so ask for it on the side if you don't do spicy! My husband had a few beers (Stella Artois) and they run about $6 each. "If you want a great selection of beers on tap for a cheap price and some decent grub, Single Jack Restaurant should be on your radar. The have a full bar, but if you're looking for good beers on tap, you can get options like Dargoon IPA, Blue Moon, and Orange Blossom. 16 oz will cost you $4 while a 25 oz will cost you $1 more. A flight of 4 samples will also cost you $5. They also serve moscow mules and other speciality cocktails.Single Jack has two menus, where a majority of the options are themed around mining. They have classic options like pasta, burgers, wings, and sandwiches. They also serve enchiladas, tacos, nachos, and some other classic bar foods. If you want something more substantial, there are steak options. When I went to this restaurant, we all ordered the Boss's Burger, which is a homemade beef patty with onions and jalapenos mixed in. It comes with classic toppings on the side, free cheese options, and 2 free extra sides. Any addition toppings will cost $1/topping. It then comes with either french fries or curly fries. I chose the Boss's Burger with pepper jack cheese, bacon and guacamole with curly fries. They give a substantial amount of curly fries with the burger and garlic aioli on the side.
