I was traveling to Big Bend and stopped by here for lunch. My first taste of southern cooking and hospitality was amazing! The fried catfish was tender and the portion sizes are amazing. Our waitress was so accommodating and our group really enjoyed talking to her. Definitely stop by if you're in the area!

We were passing through and needed something for lunch. As always, Yelp didn't disappoint with this place. We ordered the brisket sandwich and a bowl of chili. The brisket was delicious and the BBQ sauce had a very savory flavor that I enjoyed a lot. The chili a the right amount of kick and full of flavor. Nothing like I've ever had back home. The place was a tad busy so service was a little slow. Think "small hometown dinner". So for you fast paced folks, if you got the time, I'd recommend this spot.

This is a delicious family owned restaurant with delicious food and HUGE portions. The owner joked with us that we would not leave hungry and boy was she right. The special for that day was chicken fried steak which came with potatoes, peas, salad, and dessert, for very modest price. I also found myself enjoying my friends' catfish, with homemade tartar sauce. This is a great choice for dining for passing by travelers.

We were traveling through and looking for a place to eat. We found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try.You never know what you're gonna get in these small towns but the food did not disappoint! We started off with a small bowl of their homemade soup. It was chicken and sausage gumbo. Really good. I ordered the Texan brisket potato and it was delicious. It was massive too so plan on taking it home with you. My husband ordered the brisket sandwich with fresh cut French fries. Again yummy. Service was great. As I said, you never know but we were so glad we took a chance on this place! 5 stars.

Not quite sure what I ate, but it was really good. We tried to figure out what made the BLT sandwich so darn delicious. I thought it was the mayaonaies but the server gal (I think, owner) said the mayonasie was just regular mayonaise. In hind sight, I figutred it was Miracle Whip. The brisket sandwhich was again really good, perhaps better than any other we've tasted. Everything we ate was delicious and service was very warm. Service is a bit slow but the server was talking with everyone so that is to be expected. Highly recommended when in townDicks

Yum! What an incredible find. We both had burgers, the child size was plenty big enough and served with a big basket of fries. Delicious ice tea and friendly service. About those burgers... hand pressed and delicious. I added green chili to mine and to my delight it was real Hatch chili. Yum!
