The bread here is superb. It's soft, fluffy, and flavorful. Finding pan dulce like this in town is hard so it's always a pleasure to find a good bakery. However, the service left a lot to be desired. Arriving an hour before closing, the lady at the counter was less than welcoming and claimed certain items were unavailable, despite them being visibly on display. Great pan dulce deserves equally great service. I hope this is addressed for future visits.

Worst customer service! My dad went to get some tamales. A previous time we had gone and they ran out early. There was a line so my dad asked the lady if there was any tamales left. She very rudely said "Wait in line like everyone else!" When he got to the front she said they ran out. There was only one other customer in front of him that bought tamales. My dad is elderly and has trouble standing for too long. A simple "no" or "we're almost out" would of saved him some time and discomfort. YOU DO NOT TREAT CUSTOMERS LIKE THAT! ESPECIALLY THE ELDERLY. Hopefully the owner addresses this. There's too many other alternatives to put up with that.

This is my favorite place for sweet bread by a long shot. They have amazing bread and even sell flour tortillas by the dozen. I'm not sure about all locations but I know the bakery in downtown has a deal, if you spend 5$ on bread you get a free bag of bread from the day before. That's only if there are any leftovers. Inexpensive and very great treat with coffee or anything.

This is the worse Bowie Bakery, Socorro location! The Socorro location definitely has more day old bread than fresh bread. Most of the bread is dry. Customer service stinks and the owner has no customer skills. Don't go there, go to the downtown location. They are the total opposite, the best.
