This is a MUST STOP spot here's why...Not only do they have quality produce that you can see and smell growing right there but they also have an excellent coffee shop and an art store with great pieces located in an adobe house. It's a whole experience that you don't want to miss!

How are there not more reviews?! Bodega Loya is out in Socorro, between Licon Dairy in one direction and El Charlatan in another. We went on a Saturday morning around 11am. It wasn't busy and there was a great selection of in-season vegetables from lettuce and broccoli to watermelon radish and purple carrots. If you want eggs, though, you'll have to go when they open. In addition to the farm and produce, they also have an adjacent shop with a coffee shop and art for sale. From higher-priced abstract paintings to affordable Texan ornaments, it was really nice to see local artists' work. This place is definitely worth checking out and supporting!

Hidden Gem, a must see. If you are looking at this review, it will be worth your time to visit. Once you get off your vehicle, you are greeted with friendly family warmth. The vegetables and herbs are fresh and organic. Prices are reasonable and it is a nice change of pace. I can't wait to visit again. There is different art for everyone's style. Coffee is hot or cold, pastries are delectable. I am proud this wonderful place is located in Socorro, TX!

What a cute little hidden treasure! I stumbled across this driving thru Socorro and saw a sign for fresh produce. They had just opened up last week and the owners received a grant to build this local farmer's market to help this underserved area. It's considered a food desert because of the lack of accessible fresh produce in the area. They plant their own produce and are asking for more via local farmers... they'll buy your produce, even backyard farmers! Right now they have fresh carrots, cilantro, swiss chard, pecans (shelled and unshelled), chicken and duck eggs, and Licon dairy asadero cheese and butter in stock. Obviously it's going to change weekly as it's seasonal and fresh. They also have a cute coffee shop and a adobe style brick oven that they make pizza in! I'm hoping they're going to do it for the public. There's a brewery down the street too so it would make sense because brick oven pizzas and beer is amazing together! I'm so happy they're here, please come out and #supportlocal!

What a beautiful way to preserve family land and tradition in Socorro! Marty and Ralph Loya have recreated something special and have a bounty of goods (and space for artists to rent) at Bodega Loya. If it isn't grown on their land, it's sourced from local businesses (asadero and butter, chicken and duck eggs). It was a delight to see the careful conversion from a family home to a community space where people can gather to talk, view art, enjoy coffee, and take home food. Not far down the street is Casa Ortiz and Mission Trail Brewery, so you can make it a full day in the area if you don't live in Socorro.
