Stopped here on our way out of Alpine. Wish we had stopped here prior to visiting the Lowe's grocery for more vegan and healthy items. The store is well organized and stocked with items that I needed.

The staff was very friendly and the inventory is pretty good for such a small town. I was sad to see that they shut down their deli. The prices are higher than other shops but probably because of the remote location. If you want quality products and don't want to drive several hours away then this is the only option I know of in the area.

During a very disappointing roadtrip to Marfa, we drove our way through Alpine to get to Big Bend. On the turn out of Alpine that brings you down to BB we saw this place on the right. It looked like it was undergoing renovations to add on a restaurant but had a grocery/food co op in the back. The building sorta looks like a SA Dry Dock or something. But don't judge a book by it's cover!Since we were on a road trip, we weren't eating out so much, mainly packing semi healthy snacks. The grocery shop is quaint but has a lot of fun stuff (though it was lacking in the hummus department). I didn't grab much but what really grabbed my attention was the small selection of pastries and breads in front. I know I said we were getting healthy snacks but OMG the french croissant with the small bit of dark chocolate center was to die for. Turns out all the fresh bakery items are made in Marfa by some lady and sold at Blue Water. One of the only good things to come out of Marfa, I'm sure.

I was a regular customer. I spent 200.- 400. a month. Recently I purchased some Alessi Porcini just add water kind of soup mix, and when I got it home I noticed that it contained MSG, an ingredient that makes my mate extremely sick. The next time I came to town I brought it back for a return. I didn't have a receipt. (I never ask for or get one.) The check out person, "just doing my job" said I would need the receipt, that I never got to return it. I had her call the owner, and they said no return without a receipt. They have lost close to a $5000. dollar a year account for about $5. You would think an "Organic Health Food Store" wouldn't even carry a product with MSG in it. I am truly sorry they don't need my business.

I was driving on my move to Los Angeles and I spent the night in Alpine. It was later in the evening and it was great to find this store was still open. It's a terrific grocery and I was grateful to see the wonderfully diverse selection of organic and natural products. I got an Amy's frozen entree and some fruit for dinner and orange juice for my breakfast as well as a sandwich and chips for my continued road trip. It was a nice surprise to find such a great store.I'm not sure when I'll ever be back in Alpine but if you are there, be sure to check out this place! They'll have all the grocery stuff you'll need!

Great place to shop if you're headed to Big Bend. Literally everything you might need from dried food to bottled sauces. The sign is right on Highway 118 going S. from Alpine and the entrance a little hard to see - it's up the driveway.

We have found Blue Water's prices on many items less expensive than the local grocery - the latest discovery was the hearts of romaine, organic, at a better price than those conventionally grown. Our daughter tells us that she has many times found Blue Water's organic produce to be less expensive, as well as other items such as cream and eggs. This is wonderful news and very gratifying, to find fresh organic produce and other excellent items available here in Alpine for such good prices: thank you, Blue Water!

This family is always doing things to make this health food store, better. It is a young couple with 2 young children that have worked hard for as long as I have known them. You cannot be everything to everyone. They honor your request . Just ordered a case of cocnut water & wa la here it is. They carry the best Greek yourget. Only place that I know of except HEB that carry plucots when in season ( cross between an apricot & a peach) heavenly..We appreciate the service they offer to our very small community. Thank you Blue Water Foods!!!
