This is like a mini Wholefoods. An amazing selection of foods and great place to shop on route to Big Bend!

We tried to go in town at Porters, and we did not find any food that a human being should eat. Thanks to this shop, we were able to restock our camper with fresh, organic produce and products in general. They even have a bulk section with a lot of spices, so that was nice.It is a little bit pricey but I guess that's the cost to pay to be autonomous in the desert for a few days.Definitely the best stop you can make before Big Bend National Park.

We picked up five days worth of fresh, delicious produce and other groceries for our visit to Big Bend. The staff were all friendly and helpful during our visit. I wish more cities had grocers like this instead of the same chain stores that carry the same processed garbage!

There is nothing pretentious about Blue Water Natural Foods, not outside or inside. What you will find is a large selection of products in every grocery category, including local eggs, natural remedies, produce, chips, beverages, bulk, etc. Coffee is limited. AIsles are narrow and the lighting is dim but these were not distractions from a great shopping experience.

Great natural grocers with great selection. We were very excited to find it. Our Airbnb deserves a shout out for letting us know about it. We stayed at House Of Trails.

After endless driving across the the visually stunning Texas mountains "West of the Pecos" we came across this fantastic natural food store that rivals any Whole Foods given its compact size. The best fresh fruits and vegetables we came across west of Austin. A great option for provisions if you are headed into the Big Bend area.

The staff and owners are phenomenal! When asked if can find/order a product, they search and request if available. Then normally product there within two weeks. Offers fresh organic veggies and meat, plus quality cheeses. Must visit to appreciate! Having a grocery market like this in the Big Bend area is truly a treasure!

Good selection of natural foods at fairly typical health food store prices. Found what we were looking for. Came away happy with the foods we could get. Very friendly and helpful staff. It has that authentic co-op smell. It was a very helpful and good experienc.

Even though it may look closed from the highway, it is open and worth the visit. For a town the size of Alpine, this natural food grocery has a large selection of organic produce, meats, grains, snacks, etc. Even if your not a vegetarian or vegan this store a real treat.

Visited this grocery store to pick up some items for our Big Bend trip based on the recommendations of the other reviewers here. I feel like I got a bum steer. There is no way this store is better than Whole Foods as one reviewer stated. Yes, it is organic if that is what you want, but be willing to pay twice as much as your organic grocer back home. The selection of veggies was not that great. Had to go to Porters, too, to get a green pepper since they had none here. The chicken was all beyond date and frozen, which might be fine, but who knows when it was actually frozen. The only bright spot was the young clerk who was very accommodating.
