My aunt, SIL, and self went to play Bingo on a Sunday afternoon. The place is just a bingo hall. Nothing fancy or too exciting to look at. We were greeted by very friendly people and honestly, didn't mean anyone not helpful the whole afternoon. They sell food to raise money for the charity of the day. I bought a drink and it's average concessions prices. The price of bingo is very inexpensive in comparison to some places. They have computers available to play Bingo on but we chose paper. I read in one review it was very smokey but I didn't notice that and I'm a nonsmoker as well. They play many pull tabs, which probably brings in more of the revenue. One thing that surprised me was that kids were allowed in the hall. All of the ones there were very well behaved, but I'm from the Midwest so that's normally a big no.You can bring your own food and drink, so that's a bonus. We really liked this place and will be back.Edited to say the last game took an hour because the caller left 55 seconds before each call.

Played bingo this past Sunday. This place bingo plus is a good place for playing the game and making new friends. The staff is friendly and helpful. Most of the players are seniors so the games doesn't move too fast maybe a bit slow if you've played before, although the speed game is fast, there was only one. I give this place "good" check it out if you've got a few hours to kill.

If you can't stand the smell of cigarette smoke mixed with fried Mexican food, I'd stay away. The place is also pretty run down. It was once said to be a roller skating rink. The building looks like it's been around since 1965, maybe the early 70s. The lady who was helping us was grouchy. I had questions because it was my first time there. She snapped at me at least two or three times. She was making faces and interrupting me when I was asking her questions. A pack of paper cards is $8. If you want electronic cards, they're $25 each. The more you buy, the more of a discount you get. Some ladies also go around selling $1-2 cards between games. My 80-something grandmother likes to gamble and she told me she doesn't recommend Bingo Plus at all. She said it was too run down and a hassle getting there via the Sun Metro bus. She and my grandfather use public transportation whenever me or another relative aren't around to give them a ride. Even if we're around, they still want to take it. A lady who was playing helped me better understand how things work more than the grumpy lady who worked there. They sometimes give away free food and beer on certain days. Not even that makes me want to come back. The only other place in El Paso that offered Bingo was Speaking Rock. I'm not sure if Speaking Rock still has Bingo.

El Paso doesn't offer much in the sense of entertainment so while visiting the city of the sun one must get creative, which brings me to Bingo Plus. This place has been around for decades and let me tell you that it shows it's age! A converted roller skating rink, my mom recalls when she used to come roller skating here and can still come and meet up with "her girls". While the glory days of the skating rink are gone the shell still stands and now reeks of bad Mexican food and Marlboro. I make a consistent effort to stay away from venues of this caliber but from time to time you gotta do what you gotta do to have fun. Is it the nicest of mandatory fun places I've been forced to attend? Can't say it is but hey you gotta do what you gotta do! BINGO!!!
